My absurd experiences in North America over the years

By mid-November, Nashville had already cooled down.

Li Fu recalls that after 2020, these conflicts between local authorities and the federal government intensified.

In July 2020, local officials fiercely opposed the federal law enforcement officers' forceful suppression of local protests in Portland, and at one point demanded that federal agents be arrested under state law.

In 2024, Texas claimed it was being invaded due to immigration issues, directly mobilizing the National Guard to confront federal law enforcement officers in an armed standoff, and ultimately won the support of 25 red states.

In January 2026, ICE agents shot and killed a U.S. citizen in the street in Minneapolis, triggering a constitutional crisis. The governor mobilized the National Guard, and the federal government considered invoking the Insurrection Act to deploy active-duty troops.
