Three days after Kaido's defeat, the Flower Capital had already undergone many changes that had not been seen in the past twenty years.

Flags belonging to Kurozumi Orochi were being removed one by one from the castle towers, streets, and government offices.

Instead, a temporary decree was issued by the Kozuki family.

The granaries, which had been sealed off for many years, remained open, and every day trucks loaded with fine rice and medicine drove out of the city gates to Tuwan, Ximei, and other towns and villages that were short of food.

All weapons factories outside the city have suspended production.

For the first time in years, workers who had been forced to work were able to leave the factory and return to their hometowns.

People dressed in mourning clothes can still be seen on the streets.

Many people also gathered in front of the list of casualties released by the General's Mansion, searching for the names of their missing relatives.

Children dare to run and chase each other in the streets, and vendors can openly complain about food prices and the weather.

No more worrying about being arrested by the snake's officials for expressing dissatisfaction.

The City of Flowers has not yet fully emerged from the war.

But at least from this day forward, people no longer have to be afraid to even cry.

By the third day after the battle, the temporary medical clinics near General City had regained some order.

Viktor was also guarded by Nami and Robin in shifts for three whole days.

After the Sage of Six Paths' body was improved, his recovery speed far exceeded that of ordinary people.

The damage caused by overuse of the Rinnegan has basically stabilized, and the broken bones and damaged internal organs are rapidly repairing themselves.

After repeated checks, Chopper was finally allowed to get out of bed for a short time, but with a strict condition attached.

Even with Chopper and Law treating him together, he can only recover slowly through physical means.

The one who truly makes everyone uneasy is Luffy.

His bones, muscles, and internal organs were recovering, and his heartbeat had stabilized again, but three whole days passed and he still hadn't opened his eyes.

Nami would occasionally leave Viktor's room and sit by Luffy's bedside for a while.

Even though Chopper and the Wano Country doctor repeatedly assured Luffy that his life was not in danger, the Straw Hat crew still couldn't truly relax.

Even if that guy is a heavy sleeper, he should have gotten up long ago if someone is cooking nearby.

As morning approached, Rihe arrived at the clinic with a batch of fresh ingredients and medicines.

For the past few days, she has been dealing almost entirely with reports from grain depots, refugees, and various villages, her eyes revealing undisguised exhaustion.

She first visited Luffy and Zoro to make sure their conditions hadn't worsened before going to Victor's room.

"Lord Victor."

How is your recovery going?

Hiyori stood at the door, her expression seemingly no different from usual.

"She's out of danger."

As soon as Victor finished speaking, Nami immediately corrected him:

"Chopper said he could get out of bed for a short time, not that he was fine."

Hiyori paused for a moment, then couldn't help but chuckle softly.

"It seems that Lord Victor does indeed need someone to keep an eye on him."

She only gave the medicine she brought to Robin and inquired about the condition of some of the wounded.

Before leaving, Hiyori seemed to suddenly remember something and turned back to say:

"Now many people in the Flower Capital know that last night a giant fox with nine tails held up Oni Island."

"Some people in the city have started drawing the 'Nine-Tailed Sky-Supporting Picture,' and several craftsmen have suggested building a statue outside the city."

Viktor's smile froze instantly.

"No need."

"There are many things that need to be built in Wano Country, so there is no need to waste manpower to build a statue for me."

Hiyori nodded, without insisting.

But just after she left, the Nine-Tailed Fox in the sealed space suddenly made a sound.

"Statues can be left out, but portraits can't be too ugly."

Viktor's consciousness dipped slightly as he entered the sealed space.

Nine-Tailed Fox was lying behind the huge cage, seemingly indifferent, but its nine tails were noticeably more active than usual.

"You seem quite interested?"

"I simply believe that those humans should respect the facts."

Nine-Tails opened its scarlet eyes and said matter-of-factly:

"What truly holds up Ghost Island are my nine tails."

"As for you, you only offered a little bit of insignificant help from the sidelines."

Victor did not argue with it, but instead reminded it:

"What you call insignificant help is preventing you from blasting the Straw Hat crew and all the samurai to death with a single Tailed Beast Bomb."

"That was just an accident!"

The nine-tailed fox instantly became enraged and slammed its tail heavily against the ground.

"In short, I saved the entire island. From now on, I must prepare enough roasted meat every day as an offering."

"You are a chakra life form, you don't need to eat at all."

After arguing for a while, the two finally reached an agreement.

When Luffy wakes up and the Straw Hat crew holds a formal banquet, they will prepare a symbolic grilled meat for Kurama (the Nine-Tails).

Around noon, Sanji finally delivered the prepared meat dishes out of the kitchen.

A rich aroma wafted down the corridor and into the ward.

Chopper was checking Luffy's heartbeat when he suddenly noticed his nose twitch slightly.

"Luffy?"

Before Chopper could even get close, an arm suddenly stretched out from the hospital bed, through the window, and reached straight towards the kitchen.

The next second, Luffy, who had been asleep for seven days, suddenly sat up.

"Meat!"

The room fell silent for a moment.

Chopper's eyes widened, and then he pounced on Luffy's face, tears welling up instantly.

"You bastard, you're finally awake!"

He cried as he frantically checked Luffy's pupils, heartbeat, and breathing.

Upon hearing the commotion, Victor, Nami, and Robin quickly rushed to the door.

When Luffy saw all his familiar crewmates standing there, he was stunned for a moment before he grinned.

"Everyone's here!"

"Where's Kaido? Did I knock him away?"

"Was the Flower Capital damaged by Onigashima?"

Viktor leaned against the door and calmly replied:

"Kaido will never come back."

"The Demon Island has also fallen outside the city, so Flower Capital is safe."

Luffy Huanhang laughed loudly.

All he knew was that he had won, his companions were alive, and the people of that country hadn't been killed by the ghost island.

So he immediately raised his hands.

"Then let's have a banquet!"

Chopper punched him in the head.

"You just woke up!"

Not long after, Luffy ate the first bowl of meat he had eaten since waking up and finally noticed that Viktor was also covered in bandages.

"Victor, how badly are you hurt?"

"Much better than you."

Luffy had no doubts whatsoever and excitedly pressed for more information:

"How was my last punch? Was it especially powerful?"

Viktor thought about it carefully.

"Barely acceptable."

"What do you mean 'barely passable'? That was the biggest punch I've ever landed!"

"If it weren't for me and Nine-Tails holding up Onigashima, your punch might have smashed the entire island into the Flower Capital."

"But it didn't actually hit the ground!"

"That's because the first mate handled the consequences for you."

The two started arguing as usual.

Nami stood by and listened for a while, then her forehead veins finally throbbed, and she raised her hand and punched each of them on the head.

"Two people who just escaped death have no right to argue about who's more capable!"

The familiar noisy sounds of the Straw Hat Pirates finally reappeared in the clinic.

Sanji quickly moved lunch to the clinic's courtyard.

Since Luffy couldn't stray too far from his hospital bed, the group simply placed a table outside his room.

Zoro was still unconscious, but Usopp, Franky, and Brook arrived one after another.

Chopper finally allowed himself to pause his work and sat down next to Luffy with a juice in his hand.

Victor sat between Nami and Robin, while Luffy was tied to a chair to prevent him from reopening his wounds while trying to grab the meat.

The people shared stories of things they hadn't witnessed during the war.

Usopp embellished his achievements extensively, but Sanji and Franky bluntly exposed his lies.

Laughter gradually drifted out of the courtyard.

The passing Wano Country doctor found it hard to believe that this group of people, who had just defeated Kaido and changed the landscape of the New World, were no different from ordinary adventurers in private.

Luffy quickly ate most of the meat on the table.

Nami tried to limit his food intake, but Sanji told her that eating a lot would indeed help him recover.

After receiving the chef's permission, Luffy immediately became even more unrestrained.

He stuffed his mouth full of meat and then raised his glass of juice.

"Everyone!"

"We really won this time!"

Everyone raised their glasses in response.

This was not a formal victory banquet, nor was there any cheering from the entire Wano Country.

After the great battle, the Straw Hat Pirates finally sat down at the same table again to confirm that their companions were still alive.

Sunlight streamed through the eaves and into the quiet courtyard.

And the ship that had weathered countless storms finally saw its captain open his eyes again.
