Dragon Kingdom, capital city.

The highest-level intelligence command center, located fifty meters underground.

On the huge electronic screen, live footage of the Arkham Desert is being played.

This footage was transmitted synchronously from the miniature camera on Su Qingqing's chest.

The entire command center was completely silent at that moment.

Several elderly men in military uniforms, with gold stars on their shoulders, all stood up from their chairs.

They stared intently at the screen.

In the video, the boy wearing a pink children's helmet and floral shorts has just completed a backflip.

Immediately afterwards, the armored vehicle, weighing over ten tons, was blown to pieces and reduced to a pile of scrap metal.

Flames shot into the sky.

"This..." An old general with white hair and beard pointed at the screen, his hand trembling uncontrollably.

"Old Li, is this a secret weapon hidden in your military region?" Another general turned to look at the person next to him, his voice full of shock.

Chief Li waved his hands repeatedly, his eyes wide open.

"Bullshit! If I had soldiers like that, I'd be showing them off in front of you every day!"

"That skill, that composure! He strolled through the machine gun barrage, not even needing anti-tank weapons, just a few pieces of tattered C4 and he blew up the BTR armored vehicle!"

"Is this something a human being could do?"

The intelligence chief stood to one side, his forehead covered in sweat, his hand holding the tablet trembling.

"Quick! Immediately capture facial features and connect them to the global special forces database!" the intelligence chief roared at the technicians at the control panel.

"No matter which country's ace he is, you must find out everything about him within three minutes!"

The sound of keyboards clicking filled the air.

The large screen was split in two.

Half of the footage shows Lin Ye bending over in the desert, touching a corpse.

The other half is a rapidly flowing data stream.

One minute later, the data stream abruptly stopped.

A slightly immature-looking ID photo with a blue background popped up on the big screen.

It was accompanied by a few very simple lines of text.

Name: Lin Ye

Age: 18

[Place of Origin: Jiangcheng, China]

[Identity: Senior high school graduate of Jiangcheng No. 3 Middle School]

[College Entrance Examination Score: 435; Admitted to Jiangcheng College of Arts and Sciences]

Military service record: None

The command center fell silent again.

The old generals gathered around the screen and looked at the handsome, sunny student ID photo.

Then I looked at the pink-helmeted madman in the next frame of the screen, stuffing several bloodstained US dollars into the pocket of his shorts.

"Four hundred and thirty-five points?" Chief Li slammed his hand on the table, making the teacup rattle.

"A soon-to-be college student actually went to Arkham to tear apart armored vehicles with his bare hands?"

The intelligence chief wiped his sweat, his voice trembling.

"Sir, we have retrieved the files from the public security system, the education system, and even the neighborhood committees."

"He really is just an ordinary student."

"Two days ago, he was playing games all night in an internet cafe in Jiangcheng. We have retrieved the surveillance footage from the internet cafe. He was playing League of Legends and even smashed his keyboard because his teammates were bad."

The entire command center was in complete chaos.

An ordinary high school student who smashed his keyboard while playing video games ended up becoming a ruthless bandit in the Middle East.

He even single-handedly took down mercenaries and armored vehicles?

Who would believe that!

"Investigate immediately! What exactly happened to him these past two days! And what's with those weapons that appeared out of nowhere in his hands!"

The commander issued a death order.

······

Arkham Desert.

Lin Ye had no idea that he had been targeted by the highest levels of the Chinese military.

His attention was now entirely focused on the wrists of that small-time boss, Venomous Fang.

"Oh, it's a green Submariner."

Lin Ye's eyes lit up. Without any hesitation, he pulled the watch off the corpse, wiped the bloodstains on his clothes, and put it in his pocket.

"At least it wasn't all for nothing."

He stood up and kicked another corpse next to him with his toe, his face full of disgust.

"Going out on patrol without even a wallet, is the Venomous Fang organization about to go bankrupt?"

"This little bit of profit isn't even enough to cover my laundry expenses."

Su Qingqing slumped onto the sand, watching Lin Ye skillfully loot the corpse.

She endured the excruciating pain in her ankle and took a deep breath.

"Um..." Su Qingqing began, her voice hoarse from extreme dehydration.

Lin Ye turned his head and looked at the woman covered in dirt.

"Hey sis, why aren't you leaving yet? Shall I treat you to a late-night snack?"

Su Qingqing was taken aback, but she still gritted her teeth and asked the question that had been bothering her.

"Which unit are you from?"

"Sirius? Sharp Blade? Or Dragon Flame?"

The names she gave were all code names of the top special forces units in China.

In her view, someone with such terrifying combat power must be a super ace secretly trained in China.

They might even have been specially sent to meet her.

Lin Ye was completely bewildered after hearing this.

"What's with the 'heavenly wolf' and 'earthly wolf'?"

He brushed the sand off his shorts and stood up.

"My name is Lin Ye, and I just graduated from Jiangcheng No. 3 Middle School."

"They came to this lousy place to work during the summer vacation."

Su Qingqing was stunned.

She assumed the other person was keeping it a secret and didn't want to reveal their true identity.

"Comrade, I am a military intelligence observer, codename Sparrow. I have sufficient authority to know your identity."

Su Qingqing's tone was serious, even pleading.

"Your skills are definitely not those of an ordinary person."

Lin Ye rolled his eyes.

Why would I lie to you? I really am here for a summer job.

"In China, a waiter only makes 100 yuan a day. To buy a top-of-the-line Alienware computer, I have no choice but to come to the Middle East to take on day jobs."

Lin Ye pointed to the instant noodles on the back seat of his beat-up motorcycle.

"See? The boss doesn't even provide meals; I have to bring my own dry food."

Su Qingqing looked in the direction he was pointing.

Two boxes of Master Kong beef noodles.

A red, white, and blue snakeskin bag.

Add to that Lin Ye's outfit of baggy shorts and flip-flops.

If Su Qingqing hadn't witnessed him tearing apart an armored vehicle with his bare hands, she would have believed he was a migrant worker from out of town.

but now!

Su Qingqing felt like her intelligence was being brutally rubbed into the ground.

What the hell is this summer job?!

How the hell do you make money off computers?!

You call one-handed recoil control and headshots "doing summer jobs"?

You call using discarded explosives to overturn armored vehicles making extra money?

Which boss could afford to hire a monster like you?!

Su Qingqing took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

"Comrade, even if you're on a top-secret mission and can't say, there's no need to use this excuse to fob me off."

Back in the intelligence center in Beijing, a group of old generals overheard this conversation through miniature cameras, and they too were collectively devastated.

"This kid... he said he went to the Middle East to earn money to buy computers?" Chief Li's face twitched.

"Check immediately! Investigate whether computer prices in Jiangcheng have recently experienced inflation!"
