Inside the villa at the Ledomas family estate.

Edward's brother, Alex, is holding a crossbow.

She carefully searched for traces of her brother Edward in the villa's corridors.

"Bang--"

A sudden shot from a hunting rifle startled Alex.

He hurriedly raised his crossbow, nervously looking left and right.

They were on guard against potential attackers.

However, everything was quiet, and nothing happened.

A moment later, the villa returned to silence.

Alex, who had been tense, breathed a slight sigh of relief.

He then spat and muttered a curse under his breath:

"That damn Emily, she's a complete lunatic!"

"Talking about your sister like that is not something a good child should do."

The sudden sound from behind made Alex freeze in place.

He slowly raised his hands and said in a trembling voice:

"Edward, we're on the same side, and I hate the family curse too."

"Oh? Really?"

Edward instantly grabbed Alex's wrist.

They took the crossbow that was already cocked from his hand.

Alex felt the iron grip on his wrist.

He nervously swallowed and said:

"I swear! Everything I said is true..."

Brother, no one wants to be cursed for life.

"Oh! Alex, you're such a good boy!"

Edward started to tease him.

Then he pulled a sharp kukri from Alex's waist!

Edward reached out and ruffled his hair, teasingly saying:

"Good children shouldn't play with knives."

"That's all, brother, there really isn't any more this time..."

"Oh! Look what I've found!"

Edward raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise.

They actually found a grenade in Alex's pocket!

"Alex, you're quite the mischievous little guy."

Seeing that all his weapons had been confiscated, Alex was on the verge of tears.

He could only give an awkward laugh and say to Edward:

"Would you believe me if I said I was saving it to bomb the school?"

Before Edward could answer, Alex suddenly shouted:

"Mom! The prey is here—"

*Thump!*

Edward swiftly delivered a chop to Alex, stunning him instantly.

Then, he took out a rope he had prepared beforehand from his backpack and quickly tied him up.

"Ha, prey?"

Edward curled the corners of his mouth and muttered a complaint under his breath.

He threw all the weapons he found into his backpack.

Then, they stuffed Alex into the hidden compartments behind the murals on either side of the corridor.

Edward, who grew up in the manor, knows the secrets and mechanisms there like the back of his hand.

He restored the mural to its original state.

He clapped his hands, a cold glint flashing in his eyes:

"Tonight, I'll show you who the prey really is."

Just then, Edward heard footsteps beside him.

He vanished in a flash at the end of the corridor.

By the time Becky Ledomas arrived after hearing the noise, Edward had already vanished.

"Damn it, I clearly heard Alex calling for help just now, where did he go?"

Becky looked around, picked up her gun, and continued her search.

Meanwhile, Emily was still wandering around the villa.

And every now and then, he would fire a shot at anything she didn't like.

This insane behavior terrified the several servants in the villa, who fled in panic.

They were afraid of being caught in the crossfire.

However, this piqued Emily's interest in hunting.

She excitedly chased after them to the back door on the first floor of the villa.

Seeing several servants rush out the door,

He quickly fired several shots in the direction they had fled.

Seeing that they had failed to kill the servants,

He stood at the door, laughing and shouting:

"Don't run away! I'm not going to kill you!"

Her neurotic laughter echoed through the villa like a death knell.

But it was this distorted laughter that allowed Edward to pinpoint her location.

Edward followed the sound and silently appeared on the first floor.

They slowly walked into the corridor behind Emily.

Just as Edward was about to launch a sneak attack on Emily, who was so close at hand...

Emily, who had just reloaded her gun, suddenly heard footsteps behind her and turned around abruptly!

When he saw that Edward was right in front of him...

Emily immediately broke into a happy smile:

"Brother! I'm so happy you came to see me!"

However, before Edward could respond...

Emily actually pulled the trigger of the double-barreled shotgun!

"Bang--"

Edward, reacting quickly, immediately dodged.

With his superior physical abilities, he seized the opportunity when Emily turned her gun around...

He quickly executed a serpentine maneuver, dodging Emily's bullets perfectly each time!

Emily panicked upon seeing this.

With a click, she pried open the barrel, ejected the spent cartridge, and prepared to reload.

But Edward's rapid approach startled her, causing her hands to tremble uncontrollably.

The two bullets in his hand accidentally fell to the ground!

Clang—

The bullet fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

Emily kept her head down, intending to remove the two bullets as she did so.

Edward, with his ghostly figure, had silently appeared before her.

Emily stiffly raised her head.

Looking at Edward, who was expressionless, he asked softly:

"Brother...you wouldn't hurt your cute little sister, would you?"

Edward's face immediately broke into a simple, honest smile:

"How could I? We're blood-is-thicker-than-water siblings. How could I bear to hurt you?"

Emily breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, and said with a smile:

"I knew it... um..."

Emily couldn't bring herself to say anything more.

Edward gripped her throat tightly, and her body slowly lifted off the ground.

Emily gripped Edward's large hand tightly.

Feeling the air gradually decreasing in his chest, his legs, suspended in mid-air, kicked and thrashed wildly.

His eyes were filled with despair.

Edward stared expressionlessly at his sister, who was about to suffocate in mid-air:

"Emily, you have to pay the price for your mistakes and stubbornness."

As your older brother, I'm going to teach you a lesson today.

He did not increase the intensity, but maintained the current intensity.

Emily was constantly subjected to the fear of suffocation.

As time passed, Emily's struggles gradually subsided.

A pool of foul-smelling liquid slowly slid down her thigh to the ground.

Edward curled his lip in disgust.

Seeing that the time was almost up, he slowly loosened his grip on Emily's neck.

He threw her heavily to the ground.

'Gulp—'

Emily collapsed to the ground, her chest heaving violently.

He was no longer able to utter a single word.

Edward bent down, took out a rope, and tied Emily up.

He looked at Emily, whose eyes were lifeless on the ground, and said in a deep voice:

"I hope this brief encounter with death will teach you a lesson and make you cherish life."

Regardless of whether Emily heard it or not,

Edward picked her up and hid her in a guest room.

He glanced at the time on his watch and said with a smile:

"There are still three elders left. Perhaps I can end this farce before dawn."

With that, he opened the guest room door and strode toward his next target.
