The wolf king and his pack witnessed this scene. They were indeed infertile, but any wolf cub that appeared in the snow belonged to their pack, so they would never allow the great ice bear to harm the cubs!

It howled, and all the ice wolves swarmed forward, attacking and tearing at the massive polar bear!
