After knocking its companion away, it let out a low growl at its flock. Then Ron saw the war rams all turn and look at them.

At the command of the war ram leader, all the war rams raised their heads and charged forward with a thunderous roar.

The ground was shaking.

"Damn it, I was careless!" Ron cursed.

Ron's mind was racing at that moment.

His men numbered only a dozen or so; if they were to be routed head-on by this group of mid-to-high-level magical beasts, there would inevitably be casualties. Ron made a decisive decision:

"Retreat! Everyone run into the woods!"

"Hart, Alba, you two will cover for me!" Ron roared.

The rest of his men quickly ran towards the mangrove forest.

Ron turned to face the charging flock of sheep; the kilometer distance was covered in an instant at the feet of the war rams.

He was wearing magic metal armor, and with a flick of his wrist, he took out the heavy spiked club from his bracelet.

He channeled his fighting spirit into his arms and stared intently at the war ram leader charging at the forefront.

The leader had horns as big as iron, fierce eyes, and was much faster than the other war rams. In the blink of an eye, it pounced on Ron.

Ron sidestepped, swung his spiked club with both hands, and smashed it hard on the leader's head.

"clang--"

A deafening thud.

Ron's arms went numb, his hands throbbed with pain, and he staggered back several steps. The leader was sent flying, tumbling several times and knocking over several war rams behind him.

The momentum of the sheep's charge was momentarily halted.

Ron took the opportunity to touch the war ram leader, trying to put it into his spatial storage, but he failed.

The war ram leader did not faint; its resistance was futile.

Ron also acted decisively, calling on the two who were fighting with the sheep.

Before the flock of sheep could regroup, they turned and ran.

He was clad in heavy armor, yet his movements were incredibly agile, kicking up pebbles and dirt. Ron cursed as he ran, "Damn it, this level one magical beast is surprisingly intelligent!"

The war ram leader shook his head, got up again, and a hint of fear appeared in his eyes.

It let out a low growl and led the flock to continue the chase, but at a noticeably slower pace.

Ron dashed into the mangrove forest, weaving and dodging through the dense tree trunks, which slowed the sheep's pursuit.

He quickly shook off the flock of sheep and rejoined his men.

In the woods, his men were all panting heavily, their faces pale. Some sat directly on the muddy ground, while others leaned against tree trunks, retching.

Aiba was covered in sweat, and a bruise had formed on his forehead from being bumped by a high-level war ram.

The group was in a terrible state.

"Sir...are you alright?"

Hart, limping on one leg, approached Ron and asked what was wrong. He explained that he was also injured and could only feel the pain when he stopped.

"It's nothing." Ron wiped the dust off his face.

"These sheep aren't stupid; we can't outsmart them. We need to find another way." He tossed him a bottle of healing potion.

Ron was truly misled by Margaret this time; Margaret had captured nearly a hundred first-tier magical beasts of all sizes.

Half of them were captured while still alive; Ron delivered the final blow.

This gave Ron the illusion that first-tier magical beasts were nothing special.

Little did he know that these high-ranking magical beasts were either solitary elites or leaders of their respective tribes.

The former is easier to deal with, but the latter has the wisdom to mobilize the entire tribe.

Margaret is strong to begin with, and she's a dragon. All she has to do is charge into the monster horde, and all the minions and henchmen will scatter and run away. They simply don't have the courage to attack a dragon.

Therefore, capturing the leader of the monster pack was quite easy.

Even a second-tier human Grand Knight, or even a third-tier titled knight, wouldn't be able to cause such a monster horde.

Ron told his men to rest where they were, and then he went back to scout the vicinity of the war sheep.

The war rams have returned to the hillside, and are much more vigilant than before.

The leader patrolled back and forth from a high place, with a red mark on his head, which was from being hit by a spiked club.

Ron crouched behind the bushes, observing carefully.

After the recent contact, it has been confirmed that this flock of war sheep consists of only one first-tier magical beast, the leader, and six or seven higher-tier beasts.

The leader of the war rams was not as strong as himself, but to take it down meant to confront the entire flock head-on.

Ron had a plan in mind—he would pick the weakest one first.

Back at the mangrove camp, Ron called Hart and Abaddon over, preparing for the three of them to act alone.

They would target the weakest among the sheep, and once they succeeded, they would throw them into their spatial storage.

All three of them were wearing knight's armor, so taking a few attacks wouldn't be a big deal for them.

Ron also gave the cross necklace to Hart, who was the weakest, while Abaddon was more resilient.

The three of them stealthily approached the flock of sheep with the dog.

With about 500 meters to go, they were spotted by a flock of alert sheep. The three of them immediately activated their battle qi and charged towards the sheep.

Five hundred meters passed in the blink of an eye, and the sheep only had time to get into attack positions before Ron arrived first.

He withstood several headbutts from the war ram. Although they didn't cause him much damage despite his magic metal heavy armor, the continuous impact left him unable to free his hands.

Hart and Abaddon finally arrived and took the damage for Ron.

Ron finally had a chance to stand firm, and with two blows, the two war rams fell asleep.

Ron grabbed him and threw him into the space.

This enraged the war ram leader, who had been merely directing the flock and hadn't personally attacked. Seeing two of its companions missing, it no longer cared about anything else.

It accelerated instantly and crashed into Ron.

"clang--"

A dull thud was heard.

Ron was hit squarely. Even with his armor protecting him, the impact alone sent him flying more than ten meters.

Ron landed unharmed and immediately got up, urgently calling out to the two men:

"Retreat immediately!!"

During the retreat, the war ram leader tried to attack Ron, but Ron had no intention of getting entangled with it.

After withstanding another blow, he cleared the obstacles on his retreat route with a few more hits and ran away with Abaddon and the other two.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to collect the spoils.

The war ram leader roared angrily at the sky, then led his flock in pursuit, but still managed to get Ron and his two companions back into the mangrove forest.

In the mangroves.

Ron and his two companions watched the war sheep herd disappear into the distance and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Aiba's face was already bruised and swollen, and his expression was ashen from being hit by the ram's horn.

After Ron tossed them healing potions, they were back to full of energy in no time.

After letting the two of them rest for a while, Ron decided to continue the attack.

And so, in one day, the war sheep herd was attacked six or seven times by Ron and his gang, resulting in the loss of ten members.

The sheep were forced to migrate to avoid the danger, but of course, Ron and his two companions did not come without a price.

Abaddon has several broken ribs, Hart has used up three energy stones, and Ron is limping.

Fortunately, with the help of the original healing potion, the three of them were soon out of danger.

Ron gazed in the direction the war sheep had gone and murmured:

"The offensive and defensive aliens have appeared!!"
