That voice was filled with the younger brother's heartache at his brother's disappointment.

"Oh, my dear brother." Wanda snapped out of her daze, not angry at all, but with a strange glint in her eyes. "Don't you think that man's ability to destroy the world with a wave of his hand is incredibly cool? Mage, what a mysterious and wonderful title that is."

Upon hearing this, Quicksilver rolled his eyes dramatically, feeling like he was about to suffocate.

"What's so handsome about him?! That guy looks only seventeen or eighteen, just a little kid!"

Quicksilver jumped up from his chair in a panic, pointing to the dark courtyard outside.

"And what's so mysterious about mages? Aren't they just a bunch of people in robes performing magic tricks? Sis, I'm going crazy! You're acting like a brainless, infatuated idiot!"

Before Quicksilver could finish speaking, he received a solid slap on the back of the head.

"Shut up! How dare you talk to your own sister like that? Are you asking for trouble?!"

Wanda glared at him fiercely.

Quicksilver covered the back of his head, took a deep breath in anger, and simply turned his head to the side, refusing to look at Wanda.

But she couldn't help but mutter to herself, "Look at yourself, how old are you? Staring at a little kid like that, aren't you ashamed?"

Snapped!

Another slap.

Quicksilver clutched his head, staring at Wanda in shock: "Hey! You've gone too far! You hit me twice for a little kid! I'm your only brother!"

Quicksilver felt incredibly frustrated.

Logically speaking, with his super speed, dodging Wanda's slap should have been a piece of cake.

But for some reason, every time Wanda raised her hand, he seemed to be locked by some invisible force and couldn't dodge it!

Just as the siblings were arguing fiercely...

Footsteps sounded outside the door.

Lin Jie, dressed in a loose yellow monk's robe, slowly appeared at the entrance of the front hall.

"Lin Jie!"

Upon seeing Lin Jie, Wanda's fierceness in beating her brother vanished instantly.

Like a young girl experiencing her first love, she ran to Lin Jie in a few steps, her face even flushed.

Quicksilver, who was following behind, rolled his eyes at the sight.
