Chapter 29 Female Driver Goes Astray While Drunk

What does it feel like to teleport?

In Stephen Chow's original vision, this should have been a high-end commuting experience.

It's like boarding a private jet, surrounded by a dazzling starry sky, with a gentle announcement in your ear: "Next stop, China."

But reality is often much harsher than ideals.

Especially when you're in an unlicensed taxi and the driver has just finished a whole bottle of whiskey.

The surrounding light was spinning violently, and the feeling of weightlessness and centrifugal force intertwined, turning one's internal organs upside down.

"belch--"

After a loud burp, the aroma of whiskey and cumin from roasted turkey filled the air.

Edith mumbled incomprehensible drunken spittle.

With that burp, the previously stable purple light channel suddenly began to shake violently.

It was tossed up and down, swayed left and right, and bounced so violently that it felt like your bones were going to fall apart.

"Oh my god!"

"Everyone, grab the handrails!"

Lorna, jolted from behind and bumped into Zhou Xingxing's back, gritted her teeth and said, "Where did this handrail come from! Help her steady herself!"

"This is out of control! This constitutes serious drunk driving and overloading; the navigation system is completely malfunctioning!"

Just as he finished speaking, the surrounding purple light suddenly flashed twice and then went out with a "snap".

"ah--"

Amy let out a sharp scream.

"Thump! Thump! Thump!"

With several loud thuds, everyone plummeted straight down from mid-air one after another.

They were greeted by a viscous liquid.

Zhou Xingxing, who had finally managed to peek out, wiped the sticky substance off his face and looked down.

That white suit, once a symbol of the agent's elegance and melancholy, had become a grimy rag.

"My Armani!"

Stephen Chow tilted his head back and let out a bloodcurdling scream like a pig being slaughtered, clutching his chest and gasping for breath.

"This is my high-quality replica, limited edition Armani!"

A bubbling sound came from the side.

When Stephen Chow turned his head, he saw that Edith had completely exhausted her strength and, with the alcohol taking effect, was floating on the mud in a starfish shape, completely unconscious.

His originally exotic blue skin was now evenly covered in mud, making it shine black.

Her mouth was slightly open, and she was still evenly exhaling black mud bubbles that smelled of whiskey.

"Splash—"

Lorna stood up from the waist-deep mud.

She was panting heavily, and roughly brushed the wet green hair stuck to her face back.

Thick mud slid down her chin and neck.

This was a truly catastrophic visual shock.

Stephen Chow subconsciously turned his head, and his gaze met this scene.

"Comrade Xiao Luo, your figure is truly a hidden gem. You usually look like a tablet, but I never expected you to have such a hidden treasure, which is now almost bursting forth..."

On the surface, he was marveling at the effects of the mud bath, but in reality, he was making a double entendre; the experienced driver's wheels were almost running over Lorna's face.

Lorna paused for a second, then looked down at her current state.

Shame and anger surged wildly in her mind.

"Stephen! I'm going to gouge your eyes out and use them as light bulbs to stomp on!"

Lorna's chest heaved violently as she roared at the top of her lungs.

A large, long-handled iron shovel covered in black mud broke through the thick mud and was forcibly pulled out by Lorna's powerful magnetism, then slammed down on Zhou Xingxing's head!

Stephen Chow let out a strange cry, his body becoming unusually slippery.

I even caught a glimpse of the bubbling water nearby.

He reached out and grabbed one of his ankles, pulling Anton, who was about to sink to the bottom, steadily out of the mud.

"Ah Ji! Catch your brother! This kid almost got used as bait!"

With a flick of his wrist, Stephen Chow threw Anton into the rapids not far away.

The rapids were now in a sorry state.

His wind-based abilities were greatly diminished in this sticky mud, only managing to blow up a few drops of mud.

He hurriedly caught his unconscious brother, hoisted Anton onto his shoulder, and cautiously looked around.

"What the hell is this place?!"

The torrent roared, smearing mud all over my face.

On the other side, Amy was half-submerged in mud, her face filled with astonishment.

"Stop! Stop! Xiao Luo! Stop hitting him!"

Stephen Chow hopped and skipped up to the edge of the mud pit, threw the heavy bundle of bed sheets onto the bank, and then turned around to make a gesture of surrender.

Lorna stood panting in the mud, holding two rusty steel bars in her hands, her chest heaving violently.

She stared coldly at Zhou Xingxing, as if considering whether to stab him through his left or right eye.

"Take a look around where we are first, then decide whether or not to murder your boss," Zhou Xingxing said, pointing to the surroundings.

An endless desolation.

As far as the eye can see, there are only rolling sand dunes.

A fierce wind swept through the night sky, carrying yellow sand.

Not far behind them stood a towering metal drilling rig.

The oil pump made a clanging sound in the night.

They fell into an abandoned drilling mud recycling pool!

"Where is this?"

Jiuli carried Anton ashore, his face full of doubt: "Are all special economic zones in China like this?"

"Special Zone my foot!" Stephen Chow pounded his thigh and pointed at Edith, who was still blowing bubbles on the ground.

"I asked her to navigate to a bustling metropolis, to a construction site! But this young man in blue, instead, floored the gas and drove straight into the heart of the Taklamakan Desert! This is an oil field in Northwest China!"

Stephen Chow jumped up and down: "This drunk driving veered off course for a full 5,000 kilometers! 5,000 kilometers, comrades!"

Lorna threw away the steel bar in her hand, climbed ashore, and a cold wind blew, making her shiver involuntarily as her tight-fitting clothes, soaked in mud, blew her way.

"What do we do now? Are we just supposed to starve in this godforsaken place?"

"What's the panic?"

Zhou Xingxing straightened his tie, forcing a smile: "The first rule of a secret agent is to adapt to any situation. What's wrong with the Northwest? The Northwest is also a beautiful land of our motherland. It has abundant oil resources, which is a great place for special talents like you to shine..."

Before he could finish speaking...

Suddenly, a fierce barking came from afar. Judging from the deep voice, it was clearly a well-trained Rottweiler or Caucasian Shepherd Dog.

Two camouflage pickup trucks sped out from behind the sand dunes and came to a sudden stop a dozen meters away.

Several burly men holding riot batons stood in the truck bed.

A loudspeaker on the roof of the pickup truck emitted a piercing electrical hum, followed by a booming male voice with a thick Northwestern accent that echoed deafeningly through the night:

"Listen up, you oil thieves! You're surrounded! Hands over your heads, crouch down! If you try to run, we'll unleash the dogs and kill you!"
