The view ahead was completely unobstructed, nothing but dirt and dirt.

When the wind blows, it can even form the beginnings of a sandstorm.

There was no gate or guard post in sight, and the brick wall bearing the inscription "Serve the People" had vanished without a trace.

Stephen Chow stood by the roadside in a daze for a full five minutes.

Old Zhou pulled down his sunglasses, rubbed his eyelids, and looked left and right, trying to find a familiar reference point.

That shouldn't be the case.

The location is correct.

This is the place, and everything around here is normal.

Everything I saw along the way was no different from what I had seen before I left, except that Bureau 749 had vanished without a trace.

Their stronghold was taken down?

They even dug up the foundation and underground layers?

Are you kidding me?

Storm, standing next to him, also looked puzzled: "Stephen, have you considered this possibility?"

"What?"

"You were fired, and then, to prevent you from coming back to ask for your money, they demolished the entire building overnight and moved it to a place you couldn't find."

"Absolutely impossible!"

Old Zhou, his eyes red, retorted loudly, "I, Zhou, was just awarded the title of Advanced Worker! How could they bear to fire someone as talented as me, a talent that comes along only once in a century?"

"My travel allowance hasn't been reimbursed yet, does that fat Wang dare to fire me?"

"Maybe that's why he fired you? To save that money?"

Knowing full well that this was impossible, Storm stroked her chin with feigned profundity, "Your financial situation sounds quite dire... I need to reconsider joining you."

"Tsk...maybe I should just go back."

"What did you say? My hearing isn't very good."

Stephen Chow, selectively ignoring everything, squatted down and rubbed some yellow soil between his fingers.

"This soil was newly filled. And it was filled in extremely professionally, with a compaction level far exceeding the standards for civil buildings."

Faced with such a major change, why didn't Fatty Wang even send out a notification?

Could it be that the bureau chief absconded with the money along with his sister-in-law?

Or did the disciplinary committee find out that I gave him a gold watch?

Zhou Xingxing, preoccupied with his own concerns, is planning how to protect his rights.

A Jeep with its front bumper secured by wire and its right door dented was parked in front of the two men.

Before the car had come to a complete stop, the driver's side window was rolled down.

A face with several fresh abrasions and a large nose peeked out.

Chan Ka-kui pulled his crooked sunglasses down halfway, "What are you standing there for! Get in the car!"

Zhou Xingxing snapped out of his daze, glanced at the spiderweb-like shattered windshield, and said with disdain, "Did you just drive this car back from a war zone?"

"And why do I remember you protecting Nina? Also, what's the situation at the station?"

"We're on holiday!" Chen Jiaju pushed open the car door, jumped out, and punched him on the shoulder.

"The Prophet got a holiday, so I got one too. The higher-ups saw how hard we're working, so this holiday was a special exception!"

Caught off guard and attacked, Stephen Chow clutched his shoulder and took a half-step back, hissing in pain.

This guy has an incredibly strong grip and never holds back.

"A holiday? Your work is in trouble?"

"You have no idea what a huge job we've pulled off lately!"

Chen Jiaju rubbed his hands together excitedly, "The little prophet is absolutely amazing! He hits exactly where he points!"

"We went to an old warehouse. The SWAT team was still outside drawing up plans and arranging their formation, discussing things like A and B bomb sites and sniper blind spots. It was giving me a headache."

"If you ask me, we should just grab a gun, rush in, and handcuff them."

"Guess what? Nina was standing in the command post, chewing on a lollipop, pointing at the underground ventilation shaft and saying that people were down there."

"When I heard that, I thought, 'What's the point of arranging anything?' I just kicked the metal grille of the ventilation duct through, climbed in, and landed right on the head of a wanted criminal hiding inside!"

"What happened next?" Stephen Chow asked.

"Then we'll catch him! That bastard tried to pull out a gun, but I threw him over my shoulder and smashed him into the sewer wall, knocking him unconscious on the spot."

"Last week, we also caught a serial killer who had been on the run for ten years. This guy had extremely strong counter-surveillance skills and had undergone facial plastic surgery."

"Nina saw the photo, went to the market, and said the red line was connected to the fishmonger. Before our SWAT team could react, that guy had already sensed something was wrong and was about to draw his knife."

"How could I let him get away with this? I pounced on him and pinned him to the fish stall with a grappling move!"

As Chen Jiaju got more and more excited, his eyes lit up.

"In just one month! We've arrested five Class A wanted criminals, three drug traffickers who fled across provinces, seven Class B wanted criminals, and more than a dozen provincially wanted fugitives! We've cleared half of the Ministry of Public Security's long-standing cold cases!"

"The people at the Ministry of Public Security treat Nina like a goddess! They've even started to find me more agreeable because of it!"

Chen Jiaju beamed, "At the commendation ceremony a few days ago, the leaders specially granted us both three days off!"

Stephen Chow exhaled smoke.

This combination is truly bizarre.

A radar that can see through cause and effect, paired with a demolition office director who doesn't care about the cost of physical output.

Criminals who encounter these two are incredibly unlucky.

Unfortunately, Old Zhou wasn't good with words. Zhou Xingxing stared at him disdainfully: "You two are great? I think you're just an extra!"

Storm listened to the simultaneous interpretation from the translator, sizing up the man who exuded recklessness.

Bureau 749 truly specializes in taking in outliers.

In the X-Men, mutant abilities were used to fight various major villains.

On the other hand, China is directly using a "lower-dimensional" approach to apprehend criminals?

What are the officials on Emily's side doing?

"Stop for a second!" Zhou Xingxing said, biting his cigarette butt. "Where did our workplace go?"

He pointed to the vast expanse of empty yellow earth behind him.

"I just wandered around the country, it's not like I went on a pilgrimage to the West! And my home is gone in just nine days?"

Chan Ka-kui scratched the back of his head: "Oh, I forgot to mention. We're moving!"

"Moving? Nine days ago? They moved?"

"Yeah, right." Chen Jiaju said nonchalantly, "What's so surprising about that? Elbow! I'll take you to our new workplace."

Stephen Chow mentally calculated the amount of work involved.

Nine days.

The entire special department involving high-tech equipment, mutant containment facilities, and top-secret archives was moved.

This does not include the construction and commissioning time of the new site.

Did Fatty Wang have this planned all along?

Or is it an excuse to strengthen security under the guise of intelligence leaks? A clever strategy of having multiple burrows?

"How big is the new house?" Stephen Chow asked as he opened the car door.

"Big! It's too big!" Chen Jiaju climbed into the driver's seat and patted the steering wheel.

"The new training grounds are big enough for tanks to run right through! The walls are all made of special blast-resistant steel. No more worrying about damaging the walls and getting my pay docked!"

"I only care whether the finance department has changed its personnel."

Stephen Chow got into the back seat, and Storm followed suit.

"Change it my ass! Anton's still checking the invoices with a magnifying glass!"

Chen Jiaju started the car, cursing and slamming on the gas pedal, and the jeep shot off into a cloud of black smoke.

"This kid even tried to deduct the repair cost from my car! How can you blame me for ruining the car like this?"

"Isn't this your fault?"

Stephen Chow was utterly shocked: "The year isn't even over yet! You alone have wrecked over thirty cars! Over twenty motorcycles! Five yachts, right? And a helicopter!"

"Do you think you're Rambo?"

"Sixth brother, if you ask me, you'll never be able to retire in this lifetime!"
