"Cognitive computing power?"

The elderly Speaker said he could accept what the doctor said, but couldn't understand it for the time being.

The doctor didn't expect him to understand, and continued, "Please rest assured, Mr. Speaker, I have left all the relevant instructions on how the energy converter can be used in volcanic magma and underground fissures."

"If your Federation acts quickly enough, it will be perfectly feasible to launch the full Star God Project."

"As for me..."

The doctor rubbed his temples and said, "Speaker, I come from a technologically advanced civilization, and I'm quite interested in some of the unique things on your planet."

"So I'm going to look into it. Don't expect to keep me here. Okay, that's all for now."

"Finally, I wish you success with your plan. Goodbye, Mr. Speaker."

The doctor waved to the speaker, his figure gradually faded, and then slowly disappeared.

"Please wait a moment!"

The speaker rushed forward to try to catch the fading afterimage of the doctor, but it was just a projection, so how could he possibly catch it?

Just as the Speaker was lost in thought, the Secretary of State came running back, panting, and said, "Speaker! We've stopped them!"

"But two Golden Knights of the Papacy were with that alien doctor."

The Speaker didn't say a word, but the gloomy look in his eyes made the Secretary of State realize what to do next.

Just then, the phone on his desk rang.

Secretary of State: "I suspect it was the Pope calling."

Stepping forward to glance at the caller ID, the council president, who had recently been cramming on summer language, said in his broken summer dialect, "You're really quite clever!"

The bruised and battered secretary smiled and said, "Thank you for your compliment."

Seeing that the Speaker had no intention of answering the phone, the Secretary of State subtly suggested, "Even if you don't intend to release them, shouldn't you still answer the phone? After all, we're in the same boat as the Vatican now."

The Speaker stared at the Secretary of State, his fierce gaze making the latter realize that he might have said something wrong again.

One is the Pope of the Holy Light Church with over two billion followers, and the other is the Speaker of the Federal Parliament, currently the most powerful in the world. It seems rather inappropriate to describe these two as "grasshoppers on the same rope".

The Secretary of State coughed awkwardly twice and pointed to the incessantly ringing telephone.

The speaker ignored him, slowly sat down, put his feet on the table, and closed his eyes to rest.

The call connected automatically the next second.

"Hello, Mr. Speaker."

The sudden sound startled the speaker, who had just closed his eyes, so much that he fell off his chair on the spot.

However, he breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the voice on the phone was speaking fluent Western English.

Scrambling to his feet, the speaker yelled at the phone on the table, "Fuck! Do you people really enjoy forcing your way into conversations?! Can't you even show some respect for others?!"

"I'm sorry, I thought the Speaker would welcome my call as a friend."

"friend?"

The speaker sneered, "Since we're friends, Your Majesty the Pope, please don't try to take them from me, okay?"

"No, OK. There's no point in that alien guest staying with you anymore. He can be of greater value here with me."

The speaker remained silent with a gloomy face.

"Mr. Speaker, we are friends. Since we are friends, we shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves at this time, right?"

"Giving you that alien isn't out of the question."

The Speaker of the Star Council said angrily, "You must promise me you'll act with me!"

"Of course, Your Excellency Speaker, the Holy Light is with you."

"Don't say those nice, polite things."

The speaker took a deep breath. "You know what I mean. I mean, when that person attacks me, you'll stand with me against him! Remember that! We're in this together now!"

"Speaker, when that person sets off for the Star Federation, a very powerful force will assist you, but this force does not belong to the Holy Light."

The speaker said in a deep voice, "What do you mean? Explain yourself clearly."

The Pope's voice on the other end of the phone deepened slightly. He first prayed, "God above, I have no other choice."

Then he said, "Speaker, do you know what the true meaning of the Holy Light Church's existence is?"

Speaker: "I don't have time to listen to your rambling. Please get straight to the point. Thank you."

"The true meaning of the Holy Light Church's existence is to guard the seven gates that lead directly to the plane of evil gods. Behind those gates lie endless evil gods and alien species."

"When that person leaves Xia Kingdom and goes to the stars, I will open those seven doors within Xia Kingdom."

"Seven gates leading directly to the dimension of evil gods."

The Grand Speaker of the Star Federation scratched his head, which was covered in white hair, and asked with a puzzled look, "Wait, Pope, those evil gods and alien species that you were able to suppress didn't seem so powerful, did they?"

"Can...can it stir up trouble in Xia Kingdom?"

"Speaker, across those seven doors, because of the differences in the laws of the planes, the power of holy light can suppress all evil spirits, but once you cross those doors..."

The Speaker of the Star Council asked blankly, "After passing through that door?"

"Have you heard of the swarming insects and the descent of an evil god?"

As if stunned by the scene he had just imagined, the Speaker took a few seconds to recover before asking, "In that case, Pope, why don't you simply use all your strength? Use the entire power of your Papacy to fight that person to the death!"

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then the Pope's voice sounded much gentler. "Because..."

"Whether we can win this decisive battle is uncertain, but if we lose, Elisa will definitely die."

"But if we don't fight to the death, Elisa can live for many more days."

"Don't even mention many days, even if it's just an hour, a minute, a second, as long as I can, I will make Elisa..."

"Live on."

After the Pope finished speaking, the Speaker heard a series of fierce, ferocious roars, like those of a wild beast, coming from the other end of the phone, accompanied by the sound of chains rattling.

The Speaker knew that it was not the roar of a wild beast, but the roar of the Pope's beloved daughter, Elisa, the girl who would never grow up.

Forcing a smile, the speaker said stiffly, his tone feigning emotion, "This is truly touching fatherly love."

"Thank you. By the way, Mr. Speaker, there's something I need to tell you. Several directors of the Ross family are currently with me."

The speaker countered, "What is Your Holiness's opinion?"

"What I mean is that you don't need to worry about it. We're all in the same boat anyway. If you win this battle, you can settle accounts with them later."

"If you lose, those guys won't be able to keep up this for long."

The speaker laughed and said, "Yes, you're right. We're all in the same boat anyway."
