Ugh!

On the platform where the train whistles kept echoing, Edric stepped out of the carriage and followed the crowd outwards.

The members of the Rose School's hedonistic faction were quite cunning and cautious. Even though Sharon and Marich had been casting bait since the first day of the week, they still couldn't lure the "puppet" Zatwin away.

Since this demigod wouldn't leave, Sharon and Marich had no good options and could only keep at it with the hedonistic faction.

After all, they can't just knowingly walk into a tiger's den. There are countless examples of low- to mid-level extraordinary individuals blindly attacking a demigod, but successful cases are unheard of.

Sharon and Marich came from the temperance school and were naturally good at enduring hardship, so this situation was just commonplace for them.

Stepping out of Backlund steam train station, Edric glanced around casually before striding toward a horse-drawn carriage with brown-yellow carriages parked by the roadside.

As soon as the car door opened, Maric, still sporting a deathly expression, came into view. Edric gave him a perfunctory smile, then sat down opposite Maric, closed the door, and casually asked:

"Still no progress?"

Marich didn't speak, but silently shook his head.

"Are they really members of the 'Hedonism Faction'?" Edric asked suspiciously. "You and Sharon aren't planning to use me to carry out an internal purge and wipe out the other 'Temperance Faction' members, are you?"

Marich, who was already used to this kind of joke, didn't even bother to blink, putting on an air of letting Edric tease him, because he knew that this was the only way to get through this part quickly.

As expected, Edric shrugged slightly, having lost interest in continuing, and gazed at the familiar pale yellow mist outside the window, casually asking:

This led to an awkward situation where Sharon and Maritch wanted to win over Edric, but they didn't dare to act rashly because they lacked resources, and could only try to maintain the current relationship for the time being.

"That's right." Edric turned his gaze from the window to Marich, who was struggling to suppress his malice.

"After all, exploring ruins is much safer than wandering around the city. As long as you keep a good eye on things and actively avoid any ruins that might be related to high-ranking powerful individuals, it's unlikely that anything unexpected will happen."

Just then, Edric suddenly remembered Solana and her family's castle, his eyes twitched slightly, and he added in a low voice:

"And then there are those relics associated with famous names, because you never know what lies hidden deep within those relics. It could be a great fortune, or it could be a path to death, like... Sauron."

In order to buy back the "Tongue of the Jungle Hunter" from Edric, Solana paid an additional share of gold worth five thousand five hundred pounds.

In terms of gold pounds alone, Edric's current wealth has reached an alarming level, amounting to approximately 66,000 pounds, not even including the 2,000 pounds he lent to Sharon.

This enormous fortune almost entirely came from the underground castle belonging to Solana's ancestors.

Knowing that the castle had already been cleared out by a demigod and that there would be no extraordinary power of any high sequence level, who could refuse Miss Solana's invitation?
