Deep in the dense forest not far from the territory of Mil.

The Goblin Lair was originally an abandoned dwarven mine, which the dwarves abandoned after mining ceased.

However, half a stone with dwarven script remains at the entrance.

However, at this moment, the surface of the stone tablet was mostly covered with dark brown stains, and the edges looked as if they had been bitten by something, leaving messy teeth marks.

Thick black fog poured in from the mine entrance, blocking the cave and becoming so dense it was almost liquid.

The fog filled every corner of the cave, and even the weeds clinging to the rocks had all withered and died.

The ground was dirty, covered with a layer of mixed dry and wet secretions, making a faint "splat" sound when stepped on.

It stank horribly!

Absolutely disgusting!

Meanwhile, deep within the mine, a continuous stream of sounds could be heard.

The sounds of chewing, groans, screams, and pleas for mercy...

A jumble of noises flooded my ears at once, the most obvious being the chewing sounds.

The sounds of splattering and scraping continued, as teeth, flesh, and saliva mingled together, creating an unpleasant noise.

The stench of blood and decay was almost tangible throughout the cave, and several goblins were tearing something apart in an open space in the middle of the cave.

Their already small bodies now appeared sickly hunched over, with protruding spines, clearly visible ribs, and skin clinging tightly to the surface of the skeleton, displaying a yellowish-green color resembling vomit.

However, their abdomens are abnormally swollen, like inflated balloons, so swollen that the skin is almost transparent, and the peristalsis of the internal organs can be vaguely seen through the thin subcutaneous fat.

It's the same as the description of eating locust flower leaves in elementary school textbooks.

The food that the goblins were sharing was no longer whole.

But judging from the remains, it must have belonged to another goblin.

The goblin should be smaller than these others, but its exact size is currently unknown.

Because the corpse's limbs had been completely torn apart, and its head had been smashed to pieces by stones.

Yellow and white liquids were spilled all over the ground.

His chest had been pried open, leaving nothing inside except for a goblin's head, which was tearing at something.

These goblins have gone mad!

Mil stood at a distance, holding a soul lamp in his hand, his eyes radiating a pale golden light. As he watched the extremely shocking scene, he felt his stomach churning.

At this point, 48 hours had passed since Mil fled Norton.

Renee, standing beside Mil, noticed Mil's somewhat unpleasant expression and subconsciously asked in a soft voice:

"What's wrong? Is the situation bad? Why do you look like that?"

"It's bad, you could say, but it's more disgusting."

What happened to those goblins?

Renee was curious, but she didn't have Mil's Eagle Eye skill and couldn't see what was going on inside.

"They're devouring each other."

"That doesn't warrant that kind of expression, does it?"

Regarding Renee's question, Mil simply described it as follows:

"The ground was covered with excrement and goblin corpses. Those things seemed to have lost their minds; their stomachs were about to burst, but they were still eating."

"Ugh, one's already blown up, its stomach's ripped open, and it's still eating. The rest of the goblins are scrambling under its belly, fighting over the food spilling out."

Hearing this, Renee let out a soft sigh of relief:

"Okay, I got it. It is pretty disgusting. How much was there?"

Mil replied:

"Wait, the road conditions inside are a bit bad, I can't see clearly right now, let me take a closer look."

Deeper into the cave, in a corner, even more goblins were devouring each other.

But the goblins here didn't have such bloated bellies; on the contrary, their bodies were much more robust.

It was twice as big as the goblins we had seen before!

These goblins are clearly more destructive; they tear apart the bodies of their companions much faster.

However, these strong goblins, like the goblins outside, still had no spirit in their eyes.

Their eyes glowed a dark red in the darkness, their pupils unfocused, constantly shifting.

Several female trolls, as well as swamp lizards, boarmen...

These females were chained and locked in the deepest part of the cave.

The females were naked, their bellies swollen high, and small goblins were constantly being born, consuming the mother's lifespan.

Several newborn goblin cubs crawled around their mother, making high-pitched, mouse-like squeaks.

Then, the hungry cubs began to gnaw on their mother.

The adult goblins then picked up the cubs and continued to devour them.

One of the adult goblins reached out and grabbed the nearest cub, drool dripping from its mouth.

The cub emitted a sharp cry, but the cry quickly stopped.

The chewing sounds echoed again from deep within the cave, making it even more nauseating.

Just as Mir saw this, a pair of scarlet eyes suddenly opened in the deepest part of the mine.

That's the Goblin King!

It was over five meters tall, taller than not only ordinary goblins, but even taller than trolls!

It seemed to have noticed Mir's gaze, and immediately turned its head to stare intently in Mir's direction.

The next moment, he stood up abruptly, his nose twitching slightly, as if he were sniffing some kind of scent carried on the wind.

Then, a strangely excited smile flashed in the Goblin King's eyes.

He smelled food!

The flavor was mild, but it was incredibly tempting!

He suddenly let out a roar.

The voice was hoarse, as if there was phlegm stuck in its throat.

In a hurry, the Goblin King turned his head to look at his kind who were still feeding deep in the cave, then faced north again and took a step forward.

It moves very fast.

The remaining goblins, who were still eating, seemed to realize something and immediately followed the Goblin King, roaring as they charged towards the Mil territory.

As those things moved, Mir instantly withdrew his gaze.

He took Renee's arm and whispered:

"It's time to go. That thing should have noticed us by now. It's already here, and we'll probably encounter it sooner than expected."

Renee didn't ask any further questions and simply nodded.

The two then turned around and quickly walked back along the route they had come from, their boots making a dull thud as they ran across the frozen ground.

While running, Mir maintained his Eagle Vision ability, glancing at the edge of the dense forest behind him out of the corner of his eye.

Goblins aren't very fast, so most of our traps should be usable.

Behind them, a faint vibration could be heard.

That's the sound of goblins swarming in!
