Full-Time Psychic Martial Artist

Chapter 41 Psionic Sensing

Wow, it's upgraded again so quickly.

Let me think about which spell to choose.

Although [Psionic Lightning] is stronger and easier to use, it is ultimately a trick exclusive to psionicists, and using it makes it too easy to expose one's identity.

Just to be on the safe side, it's better to have a better single-target damage dealer that won't get exposed.

Yes, that's definitely the one to choose.

[Magic Blast] (Magic Pact Master)

Trick, Evocation, Standard Casting

You unleash a burst of energy, launching a ranged spell attack on a creature or object within 40 meters.

Upon hit, the target will suffer 1d10 points of force field damage.

Magic Enhancement:

For every +5 to the spellcasting attribute modifier, an additional burst of energy ray can be released.

You can make these rays attack the same target or attack different targets separately.

You need to perform an attack check for each ray separately.

Your 'Spiritual Master' has been upgraded to level 9, and your sub-class 'Spiritual Refiner' has been upgraded to level 1.

+1 to base attribute points, +5 to maximum health, +10 to maximum stamina, and +20 to maximum mana.

You can choose to learn one spell below the first level.

……

[Spiritual Perception] (Level 1 Spirit Refinement)

You can sense everything within a radius of (subclass level + psionic intensity) meters through psionic fluctuations.

When your psionic senses a creature's complete spellcasting process, you can learn that spell if your spellcasting level is not lower than the base ring of that spell.

Note:

Everything in the universe has spiritual energy fluctuations.

Psychic fluctuations can be attenuated by high-density matter or energy, which affects the actual range of psychic perception.

When you use your psychic perception to observe the world, you get an effect similar to real vision, but your observation comes from your soul, not your visual organs.

~~~
There is no doubt that the reason why psychics can cast spells in full form is because of the subclass characteristic of "psychic perception".
At level 11, a Psionicist can learn second-circle spells. I am currently level 9, and I am 2 levels away from learning them.
However, the system restricts balanced upgrades, and the level difference between sub-jobs of a specific profession cannot exceed 1.
Therefore, to learn second-level spells, you need to raise your martial arts skill to level 10 at least.
Hopefully, I can reach that level before the orcs attack the city.
……
After breakfast, the elves set off.
After a night's rest, the elves had completely recovered from their fatigue.
Lorne's plan was to cross the ridge before noon, descend to the foot of the mountain before dark, set up camp for four hours, and then travel through the night to Beilin Fortress.
After crossing the snow line, the view gradually filled with white. The cold wind, carrying icy dust, blew against my face like a cold knife scraping my flesh.
The team was divided into two groups, with the snow elves leading the way. They explored safe routes, drove in stakes, and set up safety ropes to ensure the safety of their compatriots coming down the mountain.
The elves were grouped into groups of three, connected together by sturdy ropes.
In this way, if one of the sprites accidentally falls into a snowdrift or slips and tumbles down, the other two sprites can catch it.
Lorne led the Frost Ogre at the back of the group, providing support for the entire team.
As the altitude increases, the terrain becomes increasingly steep.
The wind howled, making it impossible for the forest elves and moon elves to even open their eyes. They were able to move forward only by touching the safety ropes set up by the snow elves.
At one point, the snow elf village chief spoke to Lorne through the telepathic network:
"Your Majesty Lorne, a storm is coming. There's a cave not far ahead; let's go there to take shelter."
“Alright, lead the way.” Lorne replied immediately.
So the group changed direction and headed towards the cave.
After arriving at the cave, the team did not go in directly, but instead squeezed into a small hollow at the cave entrance.
The reason is that Monteridge found some Yeti footprints near the cave entrance.
"How big is this hole?" Lorne asked the snow elf village chief, looking at the winding entrance to the cave.
"I don't know," the snow elf village chief replied. "The mountains are connected to the earth, and like the upper abyss, they are distorted by chaos. The space inside changes constantly over time, and we have never fully explored this cave."
Lorne nodded knowingly and said to the elves in a low voice, "Everyone, rest at the cave entrance for a while. Nelly and I will go in and check the situation."
The elves began setting up camp and making fires. Lorne arranged guard posts for the Frost Ogres, said goodbye to Monteridge, and then led Nelly deeper into the cave.
As they went deeper, the temperature inside the cave gradually rose, and some bioluminescent mosses and fungi began to appear, but the light was only enough to make out the outline of the cave walls.
Nelly dispelled her Shadow Step ability and walked ahead to scout the way for Lorne. In this dim environment, she could easily trigger all the traits of a rogue.
The two elves walked one after the other for about five minutes when Nelly suddenly stopped and telepathically replied to Lorne, "Monster."
Lorne crouched low and crept stealthily to Nelly's side, cautiously peering out of the tunnel.
Outside the tunnel was a spacious cavern the size of a basketball court, where three Yetis were fast asleep on a makeshift bed made of various wild animal hides.
The Yeti is a humanoid creature covered in thick, long, grayish-white hair, resembling a hybrid of a human and a gorilla, but with a pair of demon horns on its head, and standing about 3 meters tall.
Legend has it that the Yeti is a hybrid offspring of a frost giant and a demon, but it is of low intelligence and is a born evil creature.
In one corner of the cave, there was a large pile of grayish-white bone fragments, and next to the pile of bones lay the carcass of an adult snow leopard, which looked like it had just died.
Further away, in a makeshift cage made of bones, was a snow leopard cub, slightly larger than an adult domestic cat.
"Poor kitty, let's save it," Nelly said to Lorne.
"Alright, you take care of the biggest one, and I'll turn the remaining two into servants." Lorne immediately gave a detailed battle plan.
"Hmm!" Nelly responded and stealthily emerged from the tunnel.
Lorne immediately turned his magic ring, entered an invisible state, and followed Nelly as she approached.
These Yetis have the same level and rank as the Frost Ogres, but their intelligence and charm are inferior to those of the Ogres.
Lorne easily transformed two sleeping Yetis into Contracted Servants, while the remaining one was instantly killed by Nelly's sneak attack.
The cave had three exits, and Lorne immediately woke up the two Yetis and had them guard two of the exits.
After killing the Yeti, Nelly revealed herself and quickly walked towards the cage.
The snow leopard cub in the cage immediately bristled and hissed at Neli.
Nelly crouched down, took a roasted rabbit leg from her Shadow Pocket, carefully handed it over, and said softly:
"Don't be afraid, kitty, Nelly won't hurt you."
However, the snow leopard cub was clearly stressed; it swatted away the roasted rabbit leg with one paw and continued to hiss at Neli.
Nelly looked at the roasted rabbit leg that had fallen to the ground with a pained expression. After hesitating for a few seconds, she took out a roasted chicken leg from her Shadow Pocket and handed it to the snow leopard cub.
As a result, it was knocked to the ground by a snow leopard cub's paw.
Nelly stared at the rabbit and chicken legs on the ground for several seconds, but in the end she couldn't bear to take out any more food. Instead, she turned her head and looked at Lorne with a pleading expression.
It looked even more pitiful than a leopard.
