Chapter 30 Bloodstained Titan
~~~
【Bloodlust Frenzy】(Bloodlust Path Level 1)
Each time you come into contact with the fresh blood of an enemy, you will gain 1 stack of [Bloodlust], lasting for 6 seconds, with a maximum stack of (subclass level × 10 + strength modifier).
Each time a new layer is added, the duration of all layers is refreshed. When the duration ends, 10 layers are lost, and the duration of all remaining layers is refreshed.
Every 5 stacks of Bloodlust will grant you an additional 1 action point per turn.
When you are in a berserk state, you will only lose 1 stack of Bloodlust when the duration ends, and you will gain double the action points.
• [Mentor Correction]: (Bloodstained Path Level 4)
Three layers are added at a time.
Bleeding from one's own injury can also stack layers.
• [Master's Correction]: (Bloodstained Path Level 7)
Three layers are added at a time.
Bleeding from self-injury doubles the number of layers.
~~~
[Bloodthirsty Barbarian Body] (Bloodstained Path Level 3)
In a berserk state, you can automatically attract fresh, hot blood within a radius (sub-class level) of 1 meter to attach to yourself and absorb its life energy to heal yourself.
Blood Attraction = Your Power Modifier.
The healing conversion rate is 10% of the damage taken by Bloodborne.
(Note: This trait greatly reduces the difficulty of maintaining [Bloodlust].)
• [Mentor's Correction]:
The healing conversion rate is 20% of the damage taken by Bloodborne.
• [Master Correction]:
The healing conversion rate is 30% of the damage taken by Bloodborne.
~~~
【Bleeding Strike】(Bloodstained Path Level 5)
When you deal damage to a bleeding creature, the target must make a Constitution saving throw, or it will take additional bleeding damage based on your [Bloodlust] stacks.
Every 10 stacks of [Blood Frenzy] cause it to take an additional 1 point of bleeding damage.
Difficulty of exemption = 10 + Strength adjustment value.
~~~~~~~
As the [Bloodlust] stacks increase, Goragon gains more and more action points each turn, and his attack speed increases.
The increased attack speed further accelerates the stacking and recharge rate of [Bloodlust] and [Titan's Wrath].
Even without relying on [Berserk Combo], Gorgon's fists were so fast that they left afterimages.
Lorne was on the defensive, because each block required 1 point of action and 1 point of stamina. He was completely suppressed and unable to move, and had no extra action to use [Block Strike].
At the same time, the number of golden arcs of electricity surging around Gorgon was increasing at a visible rate, and the crackling sounds were becoming more and more frequent.
The sheer scale of their attack forced the orcs, who had already retreated to a safe distance to watch, to instinctively take a few more steps back.
Finally, the system battle report showed:
[Gorgrond's [Titan's Wrath] has reached 100% charge.]
As Gorgon slammed his fist down, the dense, surging arcs of electricity seemed to find an outlet, all converging on his arm and being released through his fist onto Lorne's heavy steel shield.
Lorne felt a powerful high-voltage pulse of current instantly spread through his arm and throughout his body, making him feel as if he were being pierced and twisted by countless red-hot steel needles, causing a brief nerve spasm that rendered him unable to move.
However, this was not the end. The currents recombine the instant they caused damage and shoot out of the body towards Gorgon.
Gorgon was struck by lightning, but he was neither injured nor momentarily paralyzed. Instead, his ripped fist healed at a visible speed.
At the same time, the golden lightning bolt leaped onto Lorne again.
In less than a second, the chain lightning had already jumped between the two orcs seven times.
Lorne's entire body was burning red from the electric shock, steaming, and his hair was all singed, emitting a foul burnt smell. His muscles and bones were in so much pain that he didn't want to move at all.
He knew the battle to come would be exceptionally difficult, but he had to hold on and buy time for Neri and the captured elves.
So he suppressed the pain and discomfort in his body and changed his breathing method.
The tingling and itching sensation started in the heart and lungs and spread throughout the body with the flow of blood, greatly reducing the pain.
[You cast [Warrior's Breath], entering a state of focused concentration. Health and stamina restored by 16 points.]
~~~
[Warrior's Breath] (Warrior Level 1)
Entering a focused state consumes 1 standard action per round, restoring either (Warrior Level/2 + Constitution Adjustment) points of health or double stamina.
When injured, prioritize restoring life.
Note:
It cannot be used underwater or when breathing is obstructed.
Using [Action Like a Tide] will interrupt the warrior's focused breathing.
……
Frostfang, a dire wolf, wandered around the orc camp like a scoundrel, eventually arriving at the place where elves were imprisoned.
The sound of the drums and horns had just gathered all the orcs in the camp who were not on guard or sentry duty at the angle field. There were only 6 orcs outside the cage now, and five of them had been secretly converted into guild servants by Lorne.
Frostfang bared his two lower fangs and strode briskly to a spot three meters in front of the only orc warrior who hadn't turned traitor, where he squatted down.
The orc warriors immediately became alert. Although most of these dire wolves were intelligent and knew that the elves imprisoned here were important, there was no guarantee that one or two might be so hungry that they would run away and cause trouble.
The orc warrior stared intently at the menacing dire wolf, gripping his weapon tightly, ready for battle.
Little did he know that Frostfang was merely bait; the dark elf who truly intended to kill him had already crept up behind him.
Neri didn't attack immediately, but instead began to gather her strength in the shadows, just like she had done when she instantly killed Zaku.
About 14 seconds later, she finished charging up and lunged onto the orc warrior's back, her two daggers piercing his temples precisely from the left and right.
The orc warrior shuddered and fell straight forward.
Frost Fang remained squatting in the same spot, a very human-like sly smile on his face.
After Nelly launched her attack, she forcibly broke her stealth.
She quickly searched the orc warrior's corpse but found no key to the cage. So she decisively took out a lock-picking tool from her Shadow Pocket and began to pick the lock.
While prying open the door, he whispered to the elves near the door, "The door's open, you all come out first. Once you're all out, follow the white wolf into the forest, don't worry about anything else."
"What about the other five orc guards? There should still be orc guards at the edge of the camp, right?"
The elf path, located just next to the door, clearly indicated that they had also planned to escape and had already ascertained the strength of the guards.
Nelly wasn't good with words, but Lorne had already taught him how to say it, including the previous sentence, so he directly used what Lorne had taught him for this sentence:
"Everything is arranged. You just need to run."
"Alright." The elf didn't stand on ceremony and immediately relayed the instructions to his fellow elves along with several others near the cell door.
With a soft click, Nelly successfully pried open the lock.
"Don't rush, wait until everyone is out before running," Nelly repeated to Lorne several times, following his instructions.
Soon, all the elves were released from their cages. Their confidence soared when they discovered that the remaining guards remained unmoved.
"Can we run now?" an elf asked.
"Wait, let them clear the way first," Nelly said, gesturing to the five orc guards.
The five orc guards immediately rushed toward the nearest outpost.
At the same time, Frostfang turned around and made a preparatory movement before running.
Seeing this, the elves quickly prepared to run.
Nelly watched the five orcs until they had run halfway, then immediately shouted to the elves, "Run!"
