My Magical Card Tavern
Chapter 20: Luke's Request
"My weapon?"
Luke raised his sword somewhat bewilderedly.
It was a rather simple-looking battle sword. Apart from the tribal totem of Luke engraved on the blade, there was only a blood-red gem inlaid at the end of the hilt.
Ginnell snapped his fingers, and a brand new card appeared before everyone.
[Weapon Card: Luke's Lockta Blade]
[Quality: Legendary]
[Effect: Grants the player five attacks. When the player's health is reduced to half, each standard unit killed will grant a random positive buff.]
[Description: The Slaughter Blade, which grew alongside Luke for the sake of peace, was forged and tempered by the elemental forces of the tribe's shaman, who invoked the blessings of his comrades and ancestors.]
With a slight shake, the card instantly expanded into another Lochta Blade, which he firmly grasped in his hand.
"It doesn't look as cool as Luke's."
Luke examined it carefully and shook his head.
"Without the tempering of blood and fire, there is no determination to protect or kill."
"And Ginell, your grip on the knife is wrong."
Genele gave an awkward laugh.
This reminded him.
After all, aside from Zhongdeng teaching him combat skills, Ginnell spent most of his time learning magic and holy light.
"Actually, I want to learn too. I think I have pretty good talent."
"But given the current state of the tavern, the old man is already at his limit in teaching me meditation."
"Unless the tavern gets an arena or something someday, then maybe you can teach me to fight without holding back."
Alternatively, he could meet Zhong Deng during the first half of the game and have him further instruct Ginell on how to become a qualified warrior.
Silver Star looked at Luke, his eyes already showing fighting spirit.
"Come on, Luke, I'm getting more and more curious about you now, after all, you're someone who's already cut down stars."
Luke said.
"Orcs."
Silver Star waved his hand.
"They're all the same. In the eyes of a single star like me, you all look pretty much the same."
"Come on, let's play a round!"
Luke decisively accepted the challenge, while Ginell sat by and watched for two seconds. In the end, unable to withstand the exaggerated card switching and scene changes, he chose to run away and meditate.
These old guys really don't know their own strength. It's just a game of cards, but their aura has completely changed.
Even without Silver Star's assistance, Ginnell easily entered a state of highly effective meditation, silently increasing her magical power.
Luke glanced at Ginell.
"He's very hardworking; no other boy in the tribe can compare to him."
Silver Star did not answer. Among the tavern's regulars, he was the one who knew best about Ginnell's talent and hard work.
"Tell me, what brings you to the tavern today?"
"For you, playing cards in the tavern is not as fun as beating up your juniors at the altar."
As a somewhat unique but highly symbolic heroic spirit, Luke is one of the top battle-hardened warriors among the entire orc race.
If it weren't for a few skilled card players like Silver Star who could play to their hearts' content, Luke would probably have just had a beer and left like any other ordinary customer at the tavern.
"Ginnell, you're with me now."
Yin Xing raised an eyebrow.
"By the stars above, have you, brainless warrior, awakened some kind of magic that grants you a second brain?"
Luke ignored Silver Star's mockery of his intelligence and said...
"I can feel that Ginell and you are very close."
"The reason is a child from our clan. It is because of that child that I can sense that you are very close to me."
"He's come to your territory."
Yin Xing's lips twitched.
"To correct you, although we are all tavern guests, strictly speaking, I don't have any territory; I'm just an old man clinging to life."
"The Dark Forest is an underground city, and Silver Star City outside is a major city in the Northern Union that Little Ginnell mentioned. It has absolutely nothing to do with me."
"If you want to take care of that junior, you'll have to talk to little Ginnell yourself later. I can't leave."
Speaking of this, even Silver Star was a little envious of Luke.
They were all guests, but Luke and Silver Star were different.
As a totem of faith and a heroic spirit of the entire tribal kingdom, Luke still retains some of the ability to act on his own.
Luke simply didn't like to move around much; the era he lived in and his experiences destined him to never develop any personal hobbies.
However, this does not mean that Luke cannot move.
In other words, if any ill-intentioned individuals think that it's just a symbol that can't be moved, they're sorely mistaken.
Aside from Luke being able to step down from the altar and start slashing, in the words of Little Ginnell, it would terrify those with ill intentions.
They would be horrified to see an old orc, a figure from legends and ancient texts, stretch out his body, carry an altar and a battle sword, and come over to kill them all.
Luke nodded seriously, indicating that he understood.
With his worries resolved, Luke relaxed slightly and clinked his glass with Silver Star's.
"Speaking of which, old man."
"Why do stars fall, and why do they die?"
Yin Xing pouted like a mischievous old man.
"By the stars above, Luke, do you really have to rub salt into my wounds?"
Luke said.
"In the tribe, children will trick even younger children."
"Dead relatives and friends will become stars in the sky, and become elements that are everywhere."
"They will always be there for the children who didn't die."
Silver Star's smile suddenly turned kind.
"Then that has nothing to do with me. The stars you're talking about are not the same as stars like me."
"As for your past experiences, I can only say they are somewhat mysterious, perhaps related to the monsters you slayed."
The two historical figures started chatting, with Silver Star doing most of the talking, while Luke, with a serious expression, occasionally replied with a word or two.
As soon as Ginell came out of meditation, she immediately felt Luke's gaze clearly.
"Ginnell, I need your help with something."
Genele was taken aback, then stood up and poured drinks for the two men.
"I'm in the Northern Union. Unless I find a way to use the teleportation array, I won't be able to get to your hometown anytime soon."
Luke shook his head, and Silver Star, who was next to him, casually recounted what had just happened.
Gianna rests her chin on her hand.
"A beastman from your side has run off to the Northern Union. Are you planning to have me send him back?"
"no problem."
Luke shook his head again and said.
"Ginnell, beat him up."
The old man said you'll be fine.
"Beat him up, beat him to death, even if you blast his weapons to pieces with fire and lightning, and turn his hair and beard to ash, it doesn't matter."
"After you beat him half to death, I'll have the children bring him back."
