Magical Cat

Chapter 95 Strange

With time running out, Melina quickly went over the key points and then had the students start practicing, asking questions whenever they had any questions.

After all, she was taking over someone else's mess, and a lot of class time had been wasted, so Melina had no choice but to do it this way.

Elaine had previously trained in magic circuits with Li En and had also read the two books Melina had given her, so she picked it up very quickly.

They completed the classroom assignments quickly and are already striving for an excellent evaluation.

I'm about to catch up with Safina's progress.

When Safina saw Elaine catching up, she smiled slightly, pleased that someone was competing with her.

"You little rascal, you've got quite a few mischievous tricks up your sleeve."

While everyone was in class, Melina used her magical powers to talk to Li En.

"You noticed? Looks like you've been following this class. I was wondering why you and that Mr. Parker arrived so timely."

Li En had a feeling something was fishy just now.

"I'm not with Mr. Parker," Melina explained.

"I knew it was that old woman's practical lesson today. I was thinking of secretly watching to see if she would make things difficult for Elaine again, and sure enough, she did." Melina shook her head.

"I just didn't expect her to go so far as to exclude Elaine and the others from regular classes. Such a class is obviously unfair, and I will report this to the academy."

"But as for how effective it will be, it depends on whether the academy wants to take care of this old woman."

In private, Melina was equally blunt, calling her an old woman repeatedly. Clearly, her discontent had been building up for some time.

"Didn't they say the academy turns a blind eye to old women? Why are they intervening today, and even a discipline director has come?" Li En asked curiously.

"I was wondering the same thing. Professor Parker is usually only interested in something that benefits him. It's hard to get him to do anything without some kind of incentive. Even the dean's influence might not work," Melina said, stroking her chin thoughtfully.

"This is so unusual?"

Li En also became curious about the reason behind this.

He wanted to follow them and listen, but they had just flown away, and Li En couldn't keep up.

The person and the cat whispered and murmured to each other for a while, but in the end, they didn't reach a conclusion.

Thanks to this incident, Elaine was able to attend classes properly.

Under fair and impartial conditions, Elaine easily received an excellent evaluation in class.

As for the others, apart from Safina, they barely managed to complete their classwork.

If Melina hadn't taken over, Li En would have suspected that many people wouldn't have been able to complete the class assignments.

Ultimately, the teaching quality between the old woman and Melina was worlds apart.

Anyone can feel the difference.

When get out of class ended, the old woman still hadn't returned.

Li En was naturally delighted, hoping the old woman would never return.

Meanwhile, in the dean's office, the old woman stood respectfully, her face full of panic.

"Mr. Flint, you wouldn't want your family to know what you're doing at the academy, would you?"

The old dean asked, his eyes slanted and his tone unfriendly.

A bead of cold sweat dripped from the old woman's forehead, and her body trembled slightly, whether from fear or something else, it was unclear.

At the office door, Mr. Parker, the discipline director, stood guard, flanking the old woman from both sides, putting her under immense pressure.

"I wonder what the dean means?" the old woman asked to confirm.

"Will you become the first teacher in the academy's history to be dismissed, or will you obediently listen to me..." the old dean said, then realized something was wrong.

"Ahem." He coughed lightly, then changed to a serious tone: "Whether you take unpaid leave and await the academy's investigation is up to you."

The old woman gritted her teeth, looked at the old headmaster, and then at Mr. Parker behind her.

She couldn't glean any additional information from their faces.

I've been teaching at the academy for decades, why am I causing trouble for her today?

The old woman felt there must be something wrong behind this.

But right now, the old director has made it clear that he is only giving her two choices.

Mr. Parker, the head of discipline, somehow found so many students complaining about him.

Given this situation, she will not be able to return to the academy to continue her position anytime soon.

"Then I hope the dean can clear my name as soon as possible," the old woman said coldly before turning and leaving.

The old woman made a choice, and as the old dean said, she could not accept becoming the first teacher in the history of the academy to be dismissed.

She couldn't accept it, and her family couldn't accept it even more.

The old woman knew this better than anyone else.

Upon reaching the door, the old woman noticed Parker was still blocking her way and couldn't help but ask, holding her breath, "Aren't you going to move aside, Mr. Parker?"

"Please take your time, Professor Flint. I will inform you of the results of the investigation and the possible date of your return to the academy later. Until then, please rest at home," Parker said with a smile, then opened the door for him.

Although the old woman was old, she was still hard of hearing and naturally understood what Parker meant.

He immediately snorted coldly, then slammed the door shut and left without looking back.

After the old woman left, only the old director and Parker remained in the director's office.

"So this shouldn't concern us anymore, right?" Parker asked the old dean.

"I hope so. I wonder how many people will be involved in this." The old dean looked worried.

"But no matter what the outcome, we've definitely offended the Flint family this time, haven't we? I don't know if it was worth it," Parker said, glancing at the old dean's reaction.

"Don't worry, Hilda is just an outsider who married into the Flint family. The Flint family usually cares about appearances, but when it comes to crucial moments, they still know who the real important members of the family are." The old dean's tone was confident, clearly indicating that he had given it considerable thought.

"Alright, go about your business. From now on, the academy needs to stay away from the center of this vortex."

The old dean waved his hand, showing signs of fatigue.

It's clear that being the dean isn't an easy job for him.

Parker greeted him with a smile, then respectfully withdrew from the dean's office.

Parker went down the hallway and looked out the window.

The old woman's departing figure was still in his sight.

Because of her anger, the old woman's gait was no longer the elegant one she usually was; she swayed noticeably from side to side and walked with her feet turned outwards.

"Hilda Flint, you've given birth to a fine son."

Parker murmured a sigh.

Just then, the old woman outside seemed to sense something and suddenly turned around, meeting Parker's gaze.

Parker met the old woman's angry glare with a light wave of his hand, his smile still on his face.

The old woman snorted coldly, turned around in a huff, and vanished from the spot in the blink of an eye, clearly using a teleportation spell so as not to linger for even a moment longer.
