Magical Cat

Chapter 43 Problem-Solving Strategies

Elaine's bewildered and unaware appearance only made the other three feel even more deeply hurt.

When they were dealing with the Rift Wanderer, they not only used various magical items, but also drank several bottles of mana potions before finally winning the battle.

Magic potions become less and less effective if used frequently in a short period of time, until they become completely ineffective.

Webber almost completely destroyed his magic potion before he could barely defeat the Rift Wanderer.

But looking back at Elaine...

At this moment, Weber couldn't help but recall what his teacher, Melina, had said.

When faced with true talent, the difference in social status, such as nobility or commoner status, is of no use.

Strong is strong, and weak is weak; that's an undeniable fact.

Besides meditation, mages can also slowly regenerate mana during spellcasting, and this regeneration speed is related to their mental strength.

Elaine's condition suggests either immense magical power or extraordinary mental strength, resulting in an extremely fast mana regeneration rate.

But regardless of the type, it's already outrageous for a first-year student.

If it's both, then it's even more heartbreaking.

Frustrated, Sojern turned to Webber and teased, "You actually went to challenge this monster? That's pretty brave of you!"

"Mind your own business!" Weber said irritably.

After a moment of silence, Safina continued, "Eleanor's spellcasting is the best among us. If she still needs to use Fireball to end the battle, the chances of the four of us using our strongest attacks to defeat the Rift Wanderer in one fell swoop are probably not high."

Safina's analysis was very rational.

If everyone could reach Elaine's level, each of them could unleash their strongest attack without any problem.

But that wasn't the case. Safina calmly analyzed their performance in the practical class and found that doing so carried great risks.

The others were quite convinced by Safina's analysis.

After all, the prestige of a top student cannot be challenged; everyone has witnessed their first-place ranking in theory courses last semester.

Everyone immediately felt a headache coming on.

Elaine glanced at everyone, then stole a look at Lee En.

Li En turned his head and winked at Melina.

Elaine immediately understood, lowered her voice, and said to the other three, "I think the problems the teacher gave us are not that simple. In the practical class, they already tested our ability to condense spells. It's just that a few days have passed, so we may not have made much progress."

Safina clapped her hands and proposed another solution: "The teacher just asked us to work together to solve this Rift Wanderer, which is a test of our teamwork."

The answer is often right there in the question; what the teacher is testing is the practical application of magical attribute reactions!

Safina's words were like a wake-up call, and Weber and Sojerne felt as if they had been enlightened.

Elaine glanced at Lee En, only to see him proudly raising his neck, looking smug and asking for praise, which made Elaine laugh.

Safina watched this scene with envy and a touch of disappointment as she glanced at the little lark who was dozing off in her collar.

While I was fighting, Little Lark only cared about hiding herself, unlike Li En who put in his best effort to support Elaine.

"I am a fire elementalist, and I only know how to use Fireball right now," Elaine said first, introducing herself.

Even with this kind of introduction, no one underestimated her.

The strongest artilleryman present was undoubtedly Elaine.

"Me too," Weber added.

"I am a wind and lightning elemental, and I can now use wind blades and electric balls," Safina said earnestly.

Upon hearing this, Li En and Elaine exchanged a glance.

I had only seen Safina use wind blades when I was at school, but I discovered that she could also use electric ball magic when we were dealing with the Rift Wanderer.

Neither Weber nor Sojourn were surprised by this.

Seeing Elaine's confused expression, Safina added, "I have a high affinity for both elements, so I chose to cultivate both."

Melina, who had been watching them closely, added, "This is a rather difficult path in the early stages of learning magic, and I don't recommend anyone do it."

Safina simply smiled and didn't say anything more, clearly showing considerable confidence.

"She's of Wiesdon blood, of course she's not afraid of this kind of difficulty..." Barbara muttered from the side.

She seemed to have calmed down a lot and started trying to make herself feel important again.

Elaine was also hearing Safina's surname for the first time; it seemed to be quite famous.

But Safina seemed to want to stop the discussion about her surname and changed the subject, saying, "Sorjeen, what about you?"

"I'm an earth elementalist, and I currently know how to use Stone Projectiles and Earth Spikes. To be honest, even with spell refinement, the destructive power of these two spells is only average," Sojeen shrugged.

Elaine had witnessed Sojeon's previous battles, and her impressive ability to create terrain obstacles with earth spikes was truly remarkable.

"Given our current magic attributes, I can only think of two solutions. One is a combination of fireball, wind blade, and fireball with attribute bonuses; the other is electric ball, fireball, and fireball..."

Safina fell silent after speaking.

She had only read about these attribute enhancement methods in books; how effective they would actually be remained to be seen.

But they only have one chance.

The others understood Safina's concerns and also began to struggle, looking for other solutions.

Just as everyone was losing patience and was about to risk trying Safina's method, Elaine timidly raised her hand and said, "I have an idea."

Seeing this well-behaved child's way of speaking, Li En couldn't help but cover her face, unable to bear to watch.

Elaine was still very reserved and introverted in front of outsiders.

Li En is from Freljord, so it's best if the child can be more outgoing and confident.

"Eleanor, do you have any ideas?" Sojeen asked.

Seeing that everyone was looking at her expectantly, Elaine felt a little nervous, but she still spoke her mind.

"If we add Barbara, we'll have one more attribute and one more attack spell."

Elaine's words surprised everyone.

Everyone knows how despicable Barbara is.

Not to mention the previous targeting of Elaine, which Elaine herself probably sensed.

The fact that she could say such things at this moment makes one wonder what she was really thinking.

"Eleanor, is your ambition to become the legendary Virgin Mary of the church?" Sojeen teased.

Li En glanced at Sojieen and realized that the kid seemed to have a knack for making sarcastic remarks.

He turned to stare at Elaine, wanting to figure out what she was thinking.

Given Lee Eun-ji's personality, it would be a miracle if she didn't give Barbara a good beating.

Weber rolled his eyes and bluntly said, "We're already being kind by not causing us any trouble; do you really expect anything from her?"

Barbara, enraged, retorted, "I won't help you! Even if you beg me, I won't!"

Safina, on the other hand, adjusted her glasses and sighed softly, "So there's this kind of problem-solving approach?"

After expressing her feelings, she continued, "I agree with Elaine; this will greatly increase our chances of success."

Melina watched them argue and simply smiled.

Sir Blue glanced at Elaine again and nodded silently.

"Is this child one of this year's scholarship recipients from ordinary families?" Sir Blue wondered, glancing at Melina's retreating figure. "They're all extraordinary children indeed."
