Yin Wuxie didn't say much. She raised her right hand, spread her five fingers, and a ball of blood light surged from her palm.

The ball of blood-red light spun in her palm, faster and faster, making a buzzing sound.

The faceless woman's bones had healed halfway. Her broken ribs had reattached, and a thin layer of blood covered her white skeleton. She stood up, her featureless face turning towards Yin Wuxie's divided soul.

"You can't break my heart," the faceless woman's voice came from behind her face. "Your soul power is insufficient. If you can't break my heart, I will rise again and again. Rise, and rise again. Until your soul power is exhausted, then I will devour both of you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Yin Wuxie struck him with his palm.

The blood-red palm print left a trail of afterimages in the air. Shen Yifei's vision blurred, and he only saw a flash of red light. Then, a palm print-shaped hole appeared in the center of the faceless woman's heart.

My heart is broken.

The thud stopped.

The faceless woman stood still, her skeleton beginning to disintegrate. Starting with her fingers, it turned into white powder, which was then dispersed completely by a breath of blood mist.

The last thing to disappear was that faceless one. It stared at Yin Wuxie for a moment, then shattered like porcelain, turning into fine powder that drifted into the blood mist.

Only a pool of red liquid remained on the ground, the residue left after the heart melted.

Yin Wuxie looked down at her hands. "My soul power is almost exhausted." She turned around, her eyes fixed on Shen Yifei. "The remaining soul power can last for the time it takes to brew a cup of tea. In this time, I will take you to find the exit. After we find the exit, you can walk the rest of the way on your own."

"Where is the exit?"

"I don't know." Yin Wuxie's divided soul stepped forward, "But there's a characteristic to the exit of the Blood Soul Cave. There's no blood mist near the exit. If you walk in the direction where the blood mist is lightest, you'll find it."

Shen Yifei bent down and collected the pool of red liquid into a jade bottle.

The liquid from the melted heart of the Demon of Love might be useful in medicine. An alchemist's instinct is to collect any strange or unusual material he sees.

Yin Wuxie's divided soul walked ahead, with Shen Yifei following behind. The two passed through layers of blood mist, and after walking for about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, the blood mist ahead indeed thinned out a bit.

"We've arrived." Yin Wuxie's divided soul stopped. Her body was now as transparent as a thin mist, with only a barely discernible human outline. "The exit is just ahead. You can walk the rest of the way yourself."

Shen Yifei stared at her for two seconds.

Thanks.

"No need to thank me." Yin Wuxie's split soul curled up slightly. "Find the exit and get out quickly. Don't linger here."

After saying this, her divided soul completely dissipated, turning into a wisp of pale red smoke.

Shen Yifei stood there, watching the direction in which the wisp of smoke dissipated.

Yin Wuxie, this woman, still cares about me quite a bit. It seems she tasted the sweetness that night and is reluctant to let me die.

Shen Yifei turned around and walked towards the direction where the blood mist was lightest.

After walking for about half an incense stick's time, the blood mist completely dissipated. A blood-red portal appeared ahead, exactly the same as the one he had entered through. A blood-red eye stood upright on the portal, half-open and half-closed, as if dozing.

Shen Yifei stood in front of the light gate and glanced back at the Blood Soul Cave behind him.

Of the twenty-seven great demon souls, he had only encountered two. One wolf demon was swallowed by the Cauldron of All Things, and the other, a demon of passion, had its heart shattered by Yin Wuxie's split soul. The remaining twenty-five were wandering deep within the blood mist.

It's safe to go out now. But if we go out empty-handed, it won't be easy to explain to the Grand Elder.

Han Yue was still waiting outside to kowtow three times to him and call him grandpa. If he just went out like that, Han Yue would definitely say that he only survived because of Yin Wuxie's divided soul, and that it wasn't his real skill.

I need to gather a few more powerful demon souls to satiate the All Things Cauldron and improve my own cultivation.

Shen Yifei took the Cauldron of All Things out of his ring and held it in his palm. The monster opened its eyes, its mouth slightly open, revealing two rows of fangs. It seemed to know what Shen Yifei was thinking, making a "gurgling" sound in its throat, as if urging him to go back.

"You want to go back too?"

The monster opened its mouth even wider, its tongue lolling out, panting like a dog.

"Okay, let's go back then. But this time, leave me a few, don't eat them all. I want to eat meat too."

The monster let out a low growl, as if it were agreeing, or perhaps just going through the motions.

Shen Yifei turned around and walked towards the direction where the blood mist was thickest.

Before they had walked for the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, a mountain appeared in the blood mist ahead.

The mountain wasn't high, and it was completely black, resembling a huge piece of coal gangue. At the foot of the mountain was a cave entrance, from which a blood-red light emanated, flickering on and off, as if something inside was breathing.

Shen Yifei stood outside the cave entrance and probed the Myriad Things Cauldron forward. A low roar came from the monster's throat, and all its fangs were bared, as if it had seen something that excited it.

"Is there something inside?"

The monster opened its mouth as wide as it could and bit at the air twice towards the cave entrance.

Shen Yifei took a deep breath and stepped into the cave entrance.

The cave was much larger than he had imagined. Countless blood-red crystals were embedded in the cave walls, their light illuminating the entire cavern. The ceiling was very high; looking up, he couldn't see the top, only a cloud of blood-red mist swirling overhead.

A snake was coiled up in the very center of the cave.

Shen Yifei estimated that the snake was at least twenty zhang long from head to tail. Its body was thicker than his waist, coiled up in circles like a mountain of flesh. The scales were dark red, each about the size of a palm.

The snake's head rested on the top ring of snakes, its eyes closed, and blood-red mist spewing from its nostrils. With each breath, the crystals on the cave walls lit up and dimmed.

Shen Yifei held his breath and quietly backed away.

This snake's aura is incredibly strong. It's at least at the mid-stage of the Nascent Soul realm. Although it's been sealed in the Blood Soul Cave for hundreds of years, and its soul power has been significantly diminished, just looking at its size tells you it's not to be trifled with.

He had just taken two steps back when the snake opened its eyes.

Its two eyes were as big as washbasins, with vertical, blood-red pupils and a thin black slit in the middle. It stared at Shen Yifei, its vertical pupils shrinking to slits.

"Little thing." The snake's mouth didn't open, but its voice rang directly in Shen Yifei's mind, "You are a living person."

Shen Yifei felt a tingling sensation in his back, as if a cold snake was crawling up his tailbone.

"A living person dares to enter the Blood Soul Cave and even make it this far. It seems you are not simple either." The snake's voice echoed in his mind, unhurried and calm.

Shen Yifei gripped the Myriad Things Cauldron tightly, leaning to the side as if ready to run away at any moment.

"Senior, I was just passing by and won't disturb your rest." Shen Yifei cupped his hands in greeting, a smile plastered on his face. "Please continue sleeping, I'll be leaving now."

"Leave?" the snake sneered. "You think you can just come and go as you please in my cave?"

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a muffled thud came from the direction of the cave entrance.
