My Dongguan Love Story

Chapter 53 Sister Zhao's Enthusiasm

Early in the morning, I had barely fallen asleep when the phone rang. I squinted and picked up the phone to see that it was Sister Zhao calling. A question arose in my mind: what could be wrong with Sister Zhao calling me so early in the morning?

I glanced nervously at Tang Yan, who was fast asleep beside me. I picked up my phone, quietly got up, and went to the balcony to answer the call.

"Sister Zhao."

"Dazhuang, are you up?"

"I just woke up, Sister Zhao. I'll be at the company in a bit." I wondered if Sister Zhao was looking for me because I hadn't gone to work yesterday. Sure enough, when Sister Zhao heard that I would be at the company soon, she smiled and said:

"Okay, I need to talk to you about something. Come to my office when you get to the company."

"it is good."

After hanging up the phone, I prepared to wash up. I had just finished brushing my teeth and was about to wake Tang Yan when I turned around and saw my cousin-in-law walking out of the house with dark circles under her eyes. Those two jet-black circles startled me.

"Sister-in-law, what were you doing last night? Your dark circles are so deep."

When my sister-in-law heard what I said, she gave me a helpless look and cursed inwardly, "It's all because of you."

Li Qing looked at Da Zhuang, speechless, rolled her eyes, and said, "Why? You still have the nerve to ask?"

Hearing my cousin's wife's words, I smiled sheepishly and said, "I'll be quieter next time."

Upon hearing my words, my cousin-in-law blushed slightly, and said in a soft, slightly hoarse voice, "You want to die? You want a next time?!"

I noticed a faint blush creeping up my cousin's face and wondered if she had heard me say there would be a next time she got angry!

My cousin's wife noticed me staring at her in a daze and, wanting to bring me back to reality, told me:

"Dazhuang, Lin Huimin told me last night that she likes you and wants to ask you out to dinner. Why don't you meet her and make things clear?"

Just as I was about to say "okay," I saw Tang Yan rubbing her eyes as she walked towards me. Reaching my side, she weakly leaned against me and asked, "Who likes whom?"

Seeing that Tang Yan hadn't heard her clearly, Li Qing didn't want her to overthink it, so she deliberately teased her, saying, "What are you thinking about all day? It's all about love and romance. Read less novels."

When Tang Yan heard Li Qing teasing her again, she chuckled, cupped my face in her hands, kissed me tenderly, and said, "You're all I can think about!"

Li Qing couldn't bear to watch any longer: "Tsk tsk, I can't stand you two anymore, I'm going to move to the company dormitory."

"Huh? Why are you living in the company dormitory instead of with us?"

Tang Yan asked, puzzled.

"Live with you guys?" Tang Yan's cousin-in-law gave her a speechless look. "With you guys making so much noise at night, how can I sleep well?"

When Tang Yan heard her cousin-in-law complaining, she chuckled and went over to take her hand.

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder yesterday, so I'll definitely keep it down tonight."

"Go away, go away." Her cousin-in-law glanced away from Tang Yan's pleading hand, speechless. She packed her things and went to work.

After having breakfast downstairs, Li Qing took a taxi to work, while I rode my motorcycle with Tang Yan to Dingsheng.

As soon as I arrived at Dingsheng, I remembered that Sister Zhao had called me specifically today, so I went straight to Sister Zhao's office.

I knocked on the door, and a new secretary opened it. She was wearing gold-rimmed glasses and looked quite young, like she had just graduated.

She opened the door, saw me, and gave me a sweet smile, saying in a clear and pleasant voice, "Manager Chen, please come in."

"Mm." I nodded, and couldn't help but glance at her a few more times.

She has two small dimples on her face when she smiles, which makes her look quite pretty.

Upon entering the office, I saw Sister Zhao slightly bent over, her elbows resting on the edge of the desk, her fingers occasionally idly tracing the surface of the paper.

Her silk blouse was unbuttoned at the collar, and her profile appeared both cold and sharp in the light and shadow. Even though she was simply focused on her work, she exuded a powerful yet alluring aura.

She seemed to sense my intense gaze and suddenly looked up. Seeing it was indeed me, her previously cool expression softened instantly, her eyes burning with tenderness. I clearly saw a surge of longing welling up in her eyes:

"Dazhuang, you're here!"

Sister Zhao looked at me with sparkling eyes. After not seeing me for so long, the longing that had been building up in her heart suddenly surged up. Her gaze was almost glued to me, and she couldn't look away.

Even after not seeing her for several days, she still possessed a captivating charm. She wore a form-fitting green cheongsam, its exquisite waist-cinching cut perfectly outlining her slender waist and voluptuous figure. As she walked, her movements were graceful, the hem of the cheongsam swaying gently, exuding a mature charm that was both gentle and alluring.

She slowly walked up to me, not in a hurry to speak, but simply tilted her head slightly, looking at me quietly, her eyes sparkling.

They were very close, her breath was soft and shallow, and her gaze lingered slowly between her eyebrows and eyes, from her forehead to her eyelashes and then to her lips. Her eyes were tender and straightforward, carrying an undisguised longing and a touch of shy heat, as if she wanted to fill the emptiness of these days with her gaze.

I watched her slowly walk towards me, my heart pounding strongly in my chest. For a moment, I forgot about the new secretary standing in the office and couldn't help but reach out and pull her into my arms. A soft, warm sensation washed over me.

I lowered my head, ready to kiss her thin red lips, but Sister Zhao blocked me with her index finger.

A wicked smile appeared on her alluring face, and she whispered in my ear, "Wait, don't be so hasty, there are still people around."

After saying that, she turned to her new secretary sitting by the door and said, "Xiao Su, you can go out now."

"Ah? Okay." Xiao Su's eyes were filled with excitement when she saw me hugging Sister Zhao. She was about to read on when Sister Zhao called her out. She closed the office door with a hint of regret.

Out of curiosity, he didn't go far, but pressed his ear against the door, wanting to hear what happened next inside:

"Dazhuang, I miss you so much after not seeing you for a day."

Sister Zhao, I miss you too.
