Lin Zhao was still in shock and didn't understand Shang Yu's implied meaning. She just nodded blankly.

Seeing his dazed expression, Shang Yu couldn't help but laugh out loud. Realizing his lapse in composure, he clenched his fist to his lips and coughed lightly.

"Dean Chen, I've come here to discuss some things with you. Let Xiao Zhao play with the children first."

Lin Zhao also wanted to go with them, but the children kept pestering him, and he wanted to stay with them too.

As soon as Shang Yu entered the room, he took out the documents in his hand and handed them to Dean Chen.

The moment Dean Chen saw the cover, he froze, looking up at him in disbelief.

"Mr. Shang, what do you mean by this?"

Shang Yu helped Dean Chen sit down before speaking.

"Please take a look at the contents first. This suburban project has always been handled by the Shang family. I was just unaware that there was an orphanage here before, so I'm sorry."

Dean Chen finally understood why Lin Zhao had become so agitated after seeing Shang Yu that day; it turned out that he was the one who wanted to demolish the orphanage.

Her hands trembled as she flipped through the documents in her hands. By the time she got to the end, the resentment in her eyes had turned into confusion and doubt.

"Mr. Shang, what is this?"

"As I said before, I didn't know about this before, but now that I do, I will definitely stop it from happening. However, I'm not entirely sure, so I didn't dare tell you directly. Now everything has been settled, and the orphanage won't be demolished."

Shang Yu spoke clearly, word by word, but the more Dean Chen listened, the colder he felt. He was a businessman, and a businessman would never do business without making a profit.

Sure enough, Dean Chen saw the funding documents at the back, placed them on the table, and slowly began to speak.

"Mr. Shang, I appreciate your kindness, but if you are choosing not to demolish the orphanage for the sake of funding, then I would rather you demolish the orphanage and I can take the children to another place, but I will never accept any so-called funding."

Shang Yu had anticipated this scene, and he wasn't annoyed. He simply turned to the last page of the document.

"Dean Chen, I understand your concerns, but I can assure you that all the funding will not be disclosed to the media, and what you are worried about will absolutely not happen."

Dean Chen looked at the last page, where it was clearly written.

All of the Shang family's funding projects for the suburban orphanage are privately funded and not open to the media or the public. The orphanage can stop the project at any time if anything makes them uncomfortable.

Dean Chen looked at it several times, and it took him a long time to look up.

"Mr. Shang, what would you like?"

Shang Yu smiled and looked at Lin Zhao, who was playing with the children in the yard.

The boy's lips and eyes were beaming with a bright smile, and sweat beaded on his forehead, yet he was laughing with extraordinary joy.

I want to see him smile.

When Shang Yu was leaving Dean Chen's dormitory, Dean Chen called him back and said something profound.

"Although Xiao Zhao is an orphan, he is not without a home. This will always be his home, and we will always be his family. I hope he will always be smiling when he comes back."

Shang Yu walked out and stood at the dormitory entrance. He could see the main entrance at a glance, but it was a blind spot, so no one could see him from there.

He smiled slightly, thinking that perhaps he was the old-fashioned one. How could someone who truly loves you not accept your love?

Shang Yu and Lin Zhao had dinner with the children before leaving. Before leaving, Lin Zhao said goodbye to Dean Chen with reluctance.

I felt a little disappointed when I got on the bus.

Shang Yu put his arm around his waist, letting him lean on his shoulder, and gently comforted him.

"If you want to come back in the future, I'll come back with you anytime. Don't be sad."

Lin Zhao shook his head; he wasn't sad.

"I have a feeling that the headmistress seems to have figured something out."

"Um?"

Shang Yu raised an eyebrow.

Why do you think that way?

Lin Zhao tugged at her fingers, recalling the contrast between her mother, the dean.

"When I was cooking today, the headmistress suddenly asked me if I had someone I liked."

Shang Yu pulled his hand and placed it in his own.

"So what did you say?"

Lin Zhao sat up.

"I was terrified. I was afraid she would find out and scold me, so I didn't say anything."

"Why don't you just say you don't have it? Wouldn't that be better?"

"But I don't want to lie..."

₍ᐢ๑ ̯๑ᐢ₎

Shang Yu raised his hand and pinched his cheek.

"So well-behaved?"

Lin Zhao still looked worried, so Shang Yu pulled him into his arms and kissed him on the head.

"Don't worry, Dean Chen won't scold you. She's much smarter than you."

Lin Zhao didn't understand, and Shang Yu didn't explain either. He wanted Lin Zhao to make the decision herself regarding making this public.

Lin Zhao was held in someone's arms, his head being stroked gently, and he quickly drifted off to sleep.

The car slowly drove to the villa. Shang Yu looked down and saw that the person was fast asleep. He then carried the person out of the car.

Uncle Li ran over from afar to greet him.

"gentlemen……"

Shang Yu shook his head, signaling him to be quiet.

They carried the person up to the second floor.

Sister Chen walked out of the restaurant and touched his shoulder.

"Old Li, what's the situation between Mr. [Name] and Mr. Lin?"

Uncle Li immediately looked around alertly.

"Shh, do you not want your retirement pension? I already said no discussion, just pretend you didn't see this. What's so interesting about young people dating?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he realized he had let something slip and wished he could slap his own mouth shut.

Sister Chen looked at him with amusement.

"I think your retirement pension is in a bit of a precarious situation."

After saying that, he turned and left, and Uncle Li stamped his foot and followed him.

Lin Zhao was awakened by a sticky feeling. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw his husband lying on his neck, pecking and kissing him repeatedly.

A barrage of kisses landed on Lin Zhao's neck, collarbone, and belly. Lin Zhao's breathing quickened, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on the tip of her nose.

The kiss continued downwards when Lin Zhao suddenly opened her eyes and grabbed the man's shoulder.

"don't want……"

Shang Yu licked his dry lips, the lust in his eyes still lingering. He placed his hands on either side of Lin Zhao, his voice hoarse.

"What's wrong?"

Lin Zhao stammered, feeling that something terrible would happen if things continued like this, but he didn't know what it was, so he could only make up an excuse to refuse.

"I played all day today and sweated a lot. It's so dirty."

Shang Yu's fingertips slipped under the hem of his clothes and touched a thin layer of sweat.

"Yeah, it is a bit dirty."

After saying that, Lin Zhao rolled off the bed and breathed a sigh of relief when she was picked up and held like a child.

He was practically hanging on Shang Yu, and instinctively wrapped his legs around Shang Yu's waist.

Shang Yu gently supported his soft little bottom with his hand and strode towards the bathroom.

"Then wash it clean before eating."
