Douluo V: Daily Intelligence - I Want All of Tang San's Opportunities

Chapter 64 Don't worry, there's plenty tonight.

Less than two minutes later, a middle-aged man wearing a dark gray robe came out.

The man looked to be in his early forties, with a very straight back and a calm smile on his face, as he walked to the counter and nodded to them.

"I am the tournament director of the Soto City Grand Arena, my surname is Han. Both of you had a fantastic performance today."

Supervisor Han's gaze lingered on Su Yuntao for a moment, his tone polite yet direct:

"Lone Wolf, on behalf of the Great Soul Arena, I formally invite you to participate in the level 40 Soul Master solo competition. Your performance in the doubles competition today has proven that you are fully capable of this."

Before Su Yuntao could speak, Qin Ming stepped forward and blocked his way, saying, "I'm not going."

Manager Han's smile froze slightly.

Qin Ming leaned closer to the counter and said confidently:

"He's only level 32 now. He could easily win at the Soul Master level, so why does he insist on going to the Soul Sect level and making things difficult for himself?"

Supervisor Han paused for a moment, his voice still polite but a bit more serious than before:

"I understand your concerns, but Fire Wolf, as you saw, Lone Wolf's performance in today's doubles match has far exceeded the level expected of a Soul Master. If he continues to compete in singles matches at the Soul Master level, it is indeed unfair to the other participants. The Great Soul Arena has a responsibility to maintain the balance of matches at all levels."

"Unfair?"

Qin Ming raised an eyebrow, his tone showing no sign of backing down:

"So, Manager Han, you mean that to ensure fairness for everyone else, we have to sacrifice fairness for the lone wolf? If we don't accept your invitation today, are you also not planning to give us the money for the match we just played?"

Manager Han's expression straightened slightly, and he immediately waved his hand:

"Absolutely not."

He turned and waved to the staff member next to him:

"Bring us your prize money and bonuses."

The person behind him quickly left and soon returned carrying a heavy wooden tray with a neat stack of gold soul coins on it.

Supervisor Han took the wooden tray, placed it on the counter himself, and pushed it in front of the two men.

"This is the prize money and betting winnings that the two deserve today, every penny."

Qin Ming glanced down at the stack of gold soul coins, then looked up at Manager Han. He didn't rush to take them, but simply grunted in response, still showing no intention of moving aside.

Manager Han looked at Su Yuntao, his tone becoming even more sincere:

"Lone Wolf, I'm sincerely inviting you, not threatening you with prize money. It's true that there are no appearance fees at the Soul Master level, but it's different at the Soul Grandmaster level. For every match, win or lose, the Grand Soul Arena will provide a fixed appearance fee. And if you agree, I can make an exception and adjust your appearance fee to twice that of an ordinary Soul Grandmaster. In addition, the Grand Soul Arena can arrange a dedicated training ground for you, as well as post-match recovery medicine. All of this can be written into the agreement, in black and white, and there will be no going back on it."

After he finished speaking, he quietly looked at Su Yuntao.

Qin Ming didn't say anything more, and turned to look at Su Yuntao, waiting for him to make his own decision.

Su Yuntao stood in front of the counter, looking down at the stack of gold soul coins on the table, and mentally weighed the pros and cons.

The level 30 Soul Master competition was no longer a challenge for him. Continuing to fight would only be repeating the same actions, and would not help improve his actual combat ability.

In Soul Master level matches, the opponents are stronger and the pressure is greater, which is a good opportunity to hone the weaknesses of his current fighting style.

Not to mention that Manager Han offered double the appearance fee, a dedicated training ground, and recovery potions, all of which would indeed be very helpful for his future cultivation.

Su Yuntao looked up at Qin Ming, who stood beside him and gave him an approving look.

Su Yuntao withdrew his gaze, looked at Supervisor Han, and nodded: "Okay, I agree."

Manager Han's smile finally eased a bit, and he immediately pulled out an agreement from under the counter, unfolding it onto the table:

"Alright, welcome Lone Wolf to the Soul Master level competition. Let's sign the agreement now. There's a singles match available tomorrow night at 8 PM. If the time is okay, I'll schedule you in."

Su Yuntao took the pen and glanced at the terms of the agreement.

The agreement was indeed as he said: the appearance fee was twice that of an ordinary Soul Master, and it included the right to use a dedicated training ground and a quota of post-match recovery potions. The agreement was also quite flexible in its term and could be terminated at any time.

After confirming that there were no problems, Su Yuntao signed his name at the end of the document.

Manager Han carefully put away the agreement and extended his hand:

"It's a pleasure to cooperate. Tomorrow night at 8 PM, in the second arena, it will be a one-on-one battle against a level 41 Battle Soul Master with the Martial Soul Earth-Splitting Bear. Please be prepared in advance."

Su Yuntao shook hands with him: "Okay, I'll definitely be there on time tomorrow night."

Manager Han exchanged a few more polite words and personally escorted the two out of the Great Soul Arena.

The night breeze swept over us, gradually dispelling the tension on the stage.

Qin Ming stopped at the gate, watching Su Yuntao stuff the heavy money bag into his storage soul tool, his eyes filled with undisguised envy:

"Put 35,000 gold soul coins in there, and your storage soul tool is your capital. As a dignified Soul Master, I don't even have a fraction of your gold soul coins in the end."

Su Yuntao patted the iron ring on his middle finger and laughed, "Are you blaming me? Who told you to bet 100 back then? If you had bet 1000 like me, wouldn't you have 35,000 now?"

Qin Ming sighed:

"Unfortunately, this kind of opportunity only comes once. Now that the Great Soul Arena knows your strength, they definitely won't give you such high odds again. If you had another chance, you could have bought a Soul Bone."

Su Yuntao smiled but didn't reply.

He was accumulating gold soul coins, and wasn't he thinking the same thing?

However, he also knew that Qin Ming was telling the truth. Such luck was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and even if he participated in the competition again, he would never have such an achievement.

However, getting 35,000 is already pretty good. He reached out and patted Qin Ming on the shoulder:

"Alright, stop lamenting. Let's go. I'll give you a chance to rip off a big spender. Let's go eat barbecue. Order whatever you want."

Qin Ming's eyes lit up, and he said without any hesitation, "You said it yourself! I know a stall at the alley entrance that has amazing roasted lamb chops, but I usually can't bear to order too many."

"Don't worry, there'll be plenty tonight."
