Divine fortune teller and traditional Chinese medicine doctor

Li Mu turned his head and saw that Lu Ming was walking over.

"Hmph, what? My husband is the hotel general manager. Does he expect his father-in-law to pay for his meal? He's obviously unsophisticated and makes a fuss over nothing!"

Old Sun's daughter glanced at Lu Ming and retorted coldly.

She didn't know Lu Ming and thought the girl was just meddling.

"If your husband is paying for his father-in-law's dinner out of his own pocket, then there's no problem. But if the hotel pays the bill, then that's against the rules."

Lu Ming crossed her arms and looked at Old Sun and his daughter.

"Who do you think you are! You're really meddling! My husband is the general manager here, he's the one who sets the rules! Whether they're broken or not is none of your business! Even if our whole family moved here, let alone free meals, nobody would dare utter a sound!"

Old Sun's daughter found Lu Ming's words unpleasant to hear and rolled her eyes in response.

Standing to the side, Li Mu shook his head helplessly, thinking to himself, "Like father, like daughter!"

The father was arrogant and haughty, and the daughter was even more domineering and rude.

"Miss, do you know Li Mu?"

Old Sun also looked at Lu Ming with a displeased expression and asked.

"Of course I know him, Mr. Li is my friend."

As Lu Ming spoke, she turned to Old Sun's daughter and asked, "You said your husband is the general manager here? What's his name?"

Clearly, what the woman said earlier had angered Lu Ming.

If the hotel's general manager is so unruly, he must be fired immediately.

Lu Ming is known for her iron-fisted approach to managing the family business; otherwise, how could a young woman like her manage such a large corporation?

"What? You don't believe me? You think I'm bragging? Fine, I'll call my husband right now and have him come over!"

Old Sun's daughter felt very uncomfortable being questioned, so she took out her phone and made a call.

Old Sun didn't stop his daughter from doing this, because he just wanted to show off in front of Li Mu and regain the face he lost in the park last time.

Moreover, this guy was somewhat resentful when he learned that a beautiful woman like Lu Ming was actually Li Mu's friend.

It's quite necessary to have his impressive son-in-law come over to support him.

He wanted to show Li Mu just how awesome he, Old Sun, was.

Sure enough, a short while later, a man wearing a suit and glasses walked over.

This middle-aged man, around forty years old, is Lao Sun's son-in-law and also the general manager of this hotel, Liao Haitao.

"Dad, Xiaoyun, what's wrong?"

Liao Haitao looked at Lao Sun and his wife and asked.

He hadn't yet seen Lu Ming standing next to Li Mu.

Actually, not many of the employees at this hotel know the CEO, Lu Ming. Only a few senior management leaders have met CEO Lu in person.

After all, this five-star hotel is not the main core business of the Lu family group.

"Haitao, this is Lao Li, whom I met in the park. Xiaoyun just said you are the general manager here, but they didn't believe it, so they called you over to verify."

Old Sun pointed at Li Mu and said to his son-in-law.

Liao Haitao glanced at Li Mu briefly and saw that he looked rustic and poor, and his eyes couldn't hide his disdain.

"That's right, I am the general manager of this hotel, and he is my father-in-law. Mr. Li, do you have any questions?"

Liao Haitao looked at Li Mu with an arrogant attitude and asked.

At this moment, he still didn't see Lu Ming standing to the side.

"And her! She just said it was against the rules for Dad to eat here for free! Pshaw, who does she think she is! Mind her own business!"

At this moment, Old Sun's daughter pointed at Lu Ming and said to her husband.

At this moment, Liao Haitao finally shifted his gaze from Li Mu's face to Lu Ming's face.

When he saw Lu Ming, his pupils contracted sharply, and then his expression changed instantly.

"...Mr. Lu?! You, you...what are you doing here?!"

Liao Haitao quickly stepped forward and stammered, "..."

"President Lu? Haitao, who...who is she?"

Old Sun's daughter was also so surprised that she blinked and quickly looked at Liao Haitao to ask.

"She's President Lu, the CEO of the Lu Group!"

Liao Haitao glared at his wife and said in a deep voice.

"..."

Old Sun's daughter was so frightened that her eyes widened. She exchanged a glance with her father, unsure of what to do.

Old Sun's face was both embarrassed and ugly. He never expected that his friend, Old Li, was actually the CEO of the Lu Group!

He's his son-in-law's boss!

A slight smile appeared on Li Mu's lips. In his eyes, the father and daughter had become nothing more than clowns.

"Manager Liao, your wife says you set these hotel rules?"

Lu Ming asked Liao Haitao with a stern face.

"No, no! Mr. Lu, my wife was just talking nonsense, please don't take it seriously!"

Liao Haitao waved his hands repeatedly, sweat already beading on his forehead, inwardly cursing his outspoken and foolish wife a hundred times over.

"Does your family eat here for free?" Lu Ming asked again.

"No, no! Mr. Lu, that's absolutely not true!"

"No? Your wife and father-in-law just said that themselves."

"He, they're all talking nonsense. You don't know, my father-in-law and wife just love to brag and show off in front of others."

Liao Haitao waved his hands repeatedly to explain.

"Whether this is true or not, we'll have the finance and catering departments check it out later. Manager Liao, if it's found to be true, you don't need to come to work tomorrow."

Lu Ming said solemnly.

"...I...I...Mr. Lu, please forgive me this time, considering how hard I've worked for the hotel for so many years! I promise I'll never do it again!"

Liao Haitao knew he couldn't hide the truth any longer, so he completely chickened out and directly apologized to Lu Ming, begging for forgiveness.

"Hmph! Haitao, don't fawn over her. So what if she's the CEO of a group? What's so great about her! My son, Sun Jiancheng, is the director of the Qianlong City Market Supervision Bureau! If she dares to fire you, I'll make sure this hotel goes out of business!"

Seeing his son-in-law begging Lu Ming so humbly, Old Sun, who was very concerned about his image, couldn't stand it and lost his temper.

If Lu Ming and Li Mu had no relationship, he might not have lost his temper.

The key point is that Lu Ming is treating his son-in-law like this now. In Lao Sun's opinion, isn't this just making Lao Li look bad?

How could he possibly swallow this insult?

In fact, the director of the Market Supervision Bureau is someone that businesses dare not offend.

These departments that primarily regulate the market have a hundred ways to make a company wish it were dead if they wanted to take it down.

This is also the source of Lao Sun's confidence to stand up to Lu Ming head-on.

Hearing what Lao Sun said, Lu Ming frowned.

She never expected that Liao Haitao's brother-in-law was actually the director of the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau.

She did know Sun Jiancheng, the director of the Market Supervision Bureau. She never expected that the arrogant old man in front of her was actually Director Sun's father!

To be honest, this caught Lu Ming off guard.

Director Sun, you really can't afford to offend the Lu Group so easily!
