Tehran Grocery Store: My Intelligence is Priced Clearly

Chapter 56 Salihi's Call [Bonus Chapter 1, 3 chapters still owed]

"Holy City Journey..."

Zhang Jian silently recited a sentence in his mind.

This guy is a tough one.

As the most powerful overseas special forces unit in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the Quds Force is almost entirely uninvolved in homeland defense, focusing instead on overseas operations, intelligence gathering, and proxy wars.

"General, which side are you referring to?"

Zhang Jian spoke into the phone.

"Is it Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthi rebels in Yemen, or Shiite militias in Iraq?"

On the other end of the phone, Ahrid was clearly stunned.

Several seconds passed before he finally spoke, somewhat incredulously.

"You even have intelligence on these overseas armed groups?"

Zhang Jian chuckled softly.

"General, although my general store is small, I have a wide range of supply channels."

"Yes, there definitely is, but it's the same old story."

"It depends on the source."

Akhalid grunted on the phone.

"You don't need to worry about the money."

"Salish's people mainly operate overseas, and they have much more funds at their disposal than our General Staff."

"He can definitely afford to pay a price if your information is valuable."

Zhang Jian nodded.

"In that case, you can have him contact me directly via an encrypted line."

After hanging up the phone, Zhang Jian tossed it aside and stretched lazily against the headboard.

Isn't this the way?

Whether it's Hezbollah in Lebanon or the Houthi rebels in Yemen, they are both core allies that the Quds Force has nurtured with money and equipment.

To put it bluntly, they are the subordinate legions of the Holy City Brigade.

With this connection, getting revenge for Amir in the future will be a piece of cake.

More importantly, it provides another way to make money.

Delicious.

Two o'clock in the afternoon.

The sun in Tehran is scorching.

Zhang Jian lay on the rocking chair, sipping iced black tea and swaying leisurely.

A muffled engine roar suddenly came from around the street corner.

Two military trucks painted in desert camouflage drove up one after the other and came to a steady stop in front of the grocery store.

The car door opened, and several soldiers in training uniforms jumped off the vehicle, deftly pulling open the canvas cover of the rear compartment.

The officer in charge walked up to Zhang Jian, snapped to attention, saluted, and handed him a list.

"Mr. Zhang, General Al-Khalid has instructed us to send you some equipment. Here is the list; please check it."

Zhang Jian took the list, glanced at it, and without even moving, shouted towards the second floor.

"Amir!"

"Let's come down and check the equipment you requested!"

Soon, a series of hurried footsteps came from upstairs.

Amir, with his hair all messy, came running down the street.

"Where?"

Zhang Jian pointed to the truck outside the door.

Before he could even speak, several soldiers carrying the delivery truck had already brought in a black metal box.

Amir quickly stepped forward.

Skillfully, he unlocked the box and opened the lid.

Inside, there lay a high-frequency signal transmitter with a flashing blue indicator light.

His eyes lit up, and he immediately turned to stare intently at the soldiers who were carrying boxes down.

More and more boxes were on the ground.

Amir opened another one, which was a complete set of unopened micro-array servers.

His hands were trembling slightly.

He was so excited, his face was flushed, as if he had been injected with chicken blood.

He kept touching this and tapping that, muttering to himself.

"This is a military-grade guidance device..."

"My God, they even have a motherboard with underlying physical defenses!"

Only after checking the last box did Amir straighten up and turn to look at Zhang Jian.

His voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement.

"Boss, the equipment is fine!"

"Not only did we not miss anything, but they're even significantly more advanced than the models on my list!"

Zhang Jian nodded.

"That's enough."

He took the pen, signed his name on the receipt in a flamboyant manner, and handed it to the officer in charge.

"Please thank General Al-Khalid for me."

The officer saluted again and waved.

"Fall back!"

Several soldiers quickly got into the truck, which turned around and soon disappeared at the end of the street.

The whole process was swift and efficient, without a single wasted word.

Amir stood there, watching the military vehicle drive away, then looked at Zhang Jian lying in the rocking chair.

He knew all too well what these devices meant; they weren't things that money could simply buy.

This is equipment controlled by the Iranian military!

How could this seemingly carefree grocery store owner get Revolutionary Guard military vehicles to deliver these sensitive devices directly to his doorstep?

And the other party's attitude was so respectful!

How much energy would it take to accomplish this?

"What are you spacing out for?"

Zhang Jian helped Shahra slowly stand up from the recliner and clapped his hands.

"Farhad!"

Farhad came out of the house.

"Boss."

"Take a few brothers and move these things to the second floor. Follow Amir's instructions; put them wherever he tells you to."

Zhang Jian turned to look at Amir.

"I've got everything for you. Now it's up to you to do the rest."

"How long will it take to set up the jammers and signal network?"

Amir took a deep breath and patted his chest to assure him.

"Don't worry, boss!"

"With this top-of-the-line equipment, I can connect all the devices in four hours at most!"

"Even if a reconnaissance satellite scans the area from the sky, all it will see is a blank space!"

"Okay, get to work."

Zhang Jian waved his hand.

With Amir's defense system, his general store finally had some defensive measures.

Time passed by, second by second.

From the second floor, the sounds of Farhad directing the moving could be heard intermittently, along with the crisp sound of Amir typing on a keyboard.

Two hours later, Zhang Jian strolled upstairs.

The once empty room is now filled with all sorts of complicated wiring and flickering computer cases.

Amir sat in front of three monitors, his fingers flying across the keyboard.

The code on the screen cascaded down like a waterfall.

"How's the progress?"

Zhang Jian pulled up a chair and sat down.

Amir didn't even turn his head.

"The underlying logic has been rewritten."

"Connecting to the high-frequency signal transmitter."

"Furthermore, I have already set the frequency band of the guidance device to dynamic camouflage."

"As soon as someone tries to track our network nodes, the system will automatically generate hundreds of fake coordinates, thus completely hiding us."

"Snapped!"

Amir slammed the Enter key down.

The server next to it emitted a low hum.

"alright."

Zhang Jian took out his ordinary mobile phone and glanced at it.

The signal, which was originally full, suddenly turned into no service.

"The signal shielding has been activated."

Amir turned his chair around, picked up the water glass next to him, and took a big gulp.

"Now, apart from the whitelisted devices we set up ourselves, no electronic signals can be transmitted within a radius of 500 meters."

"Anyone who thinks they can spy on us with listening devices or miniature drones outside is dreaming."

Zhang Jian gave a thumbs up.

"Well done."

"Next, we need to completely perfect that anti-tracking system."

Amir rubbed his hands together, ready to go all out again.

Just then.

Zhang Jian's encrypted phone suddenly vibrated.

He took his phone out of his pocket and glanced at the string of gibberish flashing on the screen.

He then waved his hand, signaling Amir to continue, before turning and leaving the room, closing the door behind him.

Walking to the window at the end of the corridor, Zhang Jian pressed the answer button.

A man's voice came through the phone very quickly.

He spoke with a heavy Arabic accent and exuded an air of authority befitting someone who had long held a high position.

"Mr. Zhang, I am Salish."
