Tehran Grocery Store: My Intelligence is Priced Clearly
Chapter 541 Even Americans Have a Tough Sense
Zhang Jian stepped forward and reached out to support Haiying's arm.
"We're all compatriots, let's not get into these formalities. Being able to come back alive is more important than anything else."
Haiying lowered his hand with the force applied, his chapped lips moved slightly, and his voice was hoarse.
"Mr. Zhang, we owe you a lot this time."
Zhao Pingan put his arm around Haiying's shoulder.
"Let's stop talking now, is the infirmary ready?"
Li Gang made a hand gesture to the side.
Two medics immediately ran over with a stretcher and carefully placed Haiying on it.
Watching the stretcher being carried into the room next door, Zhao Ping'an breathed a sigh of relief, his tense nerves finally relaxing.
Zhang Jian took out a cigarette case, pulled one out, and handed it to Zhao Ping'an.
"The person has been rescued, what's the next step?"
"Should we interrogate that guy?"
Zhao Ping'an took the cigarette, but didn't light it, just held it between his fingers.
"That CIA agent who survived?"
Zhang Jian lit a cigarette, took a puff, and the bluish-white smoke quickly dispersed in the night breeze.
"Yes, we need to know how the Sea Eagles were exposed."
"If this matter can't be investigated, it will be troublesome not only for you, but also for me."
Zhao Pingan put the cigarette in his mouth and took out a lighter to light it.
"Alright, then let's go and investigate."
"The mission Haiying is of a high level this time, and the route was personally approved by Director Chen, so there should be no way something went wrong."
"The fact that the CIA can accurately set up ambushes along the border is definitely suspicious."
The two walked side by side toward the factory's basement.
Li Gang followed behind with two special forces members.
The iron door to the basement was pushed open.
A faint smell of blood wafted over.
The dim incandescent light swayed overhead.
A white man was already tied up in the chair in the very center.
The wound on my leg had been treated simply and was bandaged in several layers; it had stopped bleeding.
Du Jian sat to one side, with Hassan and Yassin standing behind him.
Hearing the door open, Du Jian stood up.
"Zhang Jian, you're safe."
Zhang Jian pulled up a chair and sat down, pointing to the white man opposite him.
"How's it going? Did they confess?"
Du Jian turned his head and glanced at the guy, saying in an annoyed tone.
"no."
"This bastard has received professional training in resisting torture."
"Just like a rock in a latrine, smelly and hard."
"If you don't come, I won't dare to use torture on him."
"Since it was frozen in place, I whipped it a few times with a belt."
"Aside from screams, not a single useful word came out."
Zhang Jian leaned back in his chair and looked up at the guy opposite him.
His blond hair was stuck to his forehead with sweat, his breathing was heavy, and his chest heaved violently.
Seeing Zhang Jian and the others enter, he struggled to lift his head, his gaze piercing through the dim light to fall on Zhang Jian and the others.
He then grinned, revealing teeth stained with blood.
"You bunch of yellow-skinned monkeys."
"If you have the guts, kill me!"
"The CIA won't let you get away with this; you're all going to die..."
Zhao Pingan ignored his chatter and turned to face Du Jian.
"Have you found out their identity information?"
Du Jian nodded.
He reached into his pocket, pulled out his identification card, and handed it over.
"We found out. This guy was really arrogant in Türkiye; he kept his ID card on him."
Zhao Pingan took it and glanced at it.
"Jack Miller, Senior Field Agent, CIA Middle East Division, eight years of service."
"Um."
Du Jian nodded.
"I had someone check his information. This guy has participated in many covert operations in Syria and Iraq, so he's quite experienced."
Zhao Pingan pulled over another chair and sat down next to Zhang Jian.
Zhang Jian shrugged.
"It doesn't matter, as long as there's a result."
"Since he wants to arrest one of your people, then you can do it."
Zhao Ping'an nodded and dragged a chair to sit down at the table directly in front of him.
Lean forward and rest your elbows on the table.
"Jack Miller? I'm not going to waste my breath on you."
"I'm asking you, only a very small number of people within our ranks know the Sea Eagles' retreat route."
"How did you manage to set up an ambush on the Turkish border in advance?"
Jack took a couple of deep breaths and then suddenly laughed.
"Want to know?"
"Go ask Satan in hell!"
Zhao Ping'an frowned slightly as he looked at Jack's face, which was covered in grime yet exuded arrogance.
"Jack, you'd better get your facts straight."
"This is not Türkiye, nor is it a safe house for your CIA."
"The news of your disappearance won't get out anytime soon."
"I have plenty of time to play with you at your own pace."
Jack turned his head away and spat a mouthful of bloody saliva onto the ground with disdain.
"Play?"
Jack grinned, his laughter bordering on maniacal.
"You guys only ever use the same few interrogation techniques over and over again."
"Waterboarding? Electrocution? Or nail removal?"
He shook his shoulders, which were strapped to the chair.
"Come on, let me see what new tricks you guys can come up with."
"When I was training at Langley headquarters, the instructors used far more methods than you can imagine."
"You'd better kill me now!"
"If I don't send a security code to headquarters for more than 24 hours, the CIA's rapid response team will be able to locate the area where I'm out of contact."
"Even if you hide, you'll all be dug up one by one and killed. Not a single one will survive!"
Zhao Ping'an's face darkened.
He turned to look at Du Jian beside him.
Without saying a word, Du Jian pulled out a tactical dagger from his outside thigh and strode up to Jack.
The knife tip was pressed directly against the wound on Jack's thigh.
Thrust downwards with force.
"what!"
Jack tilted his head back and let out a bloodcurdling scream.
The veins on his forehead bulged, and beads of sweat instantly streamed down his face.
Du Jian pulled out the dagger expressionlessly, drawing a string of blood beads.
"Will you tell or not?"
Jack was panting heavily, trembling all over from the pain, but he still gritted his teeth.
"Fuck... Yu..."
