From the moment she kidnapped Erii, she became a roadblock.
Chapter 16 The Uncontrolled Hybrid
When Guan Luo stared at that spot, his eyes would automatically dart away.
He forced himself to pull his gaze back and lock onto that silhouette.
If his mental strength weren't so strong, he wouldn't have been able to sense this person's presence at all.
He slowly turned his eyes to look to his side.
Erii curled up against the wall, facing it.
The blanket only covered her shoulders, leaving the back of her neck exposed in the dim light. Her skin was a soft ivory color, and stray hairs clung to her neck.
That thing stopped at the door for a while.
Guan Luo pulled his hands out from under the covers, sat up, and stood up barefoot on the tatami mat.
He deliberately made a little more noise, walked to the half-closed paper sliding door, and pulled it open.
Guan Luo sensed it; the silhouette at the door took a step back as he approached.
He glanced back at Erii, closed the paper sliding door, leaving her in that small, quiet space, and then walked towards the living room.
The hallway light illuminated half of the living room.
The other half is in shadow; the kitchen and dining table area remains dark.
Guan Luo walked barefoot to the center of the living room and stopped.
A gaze was fixed on Guan Luo's back, like a cold, venomous snake, slithering from the back of his head down his spine.
Guan Luo reached out and touched the light switch on the wall.
A dagger was plunged into Guan Luo's back.
There was almost no sound as it cut through the air; the blade had a matte coating that didn't reflect light in the dark.
Guan Luo dodged to the side.
The opponent's physical fitness doesn't seem to be very strong.
In the Dragon Clan, it seems that most of the characters are assassin-type players with high attack but low health.
The dagger grazed Guan Luo's back, the tip tearing through his T-shirt and leaving a shallow scratch on his skin.
He turned around and saw a pair of eyes.
Standing in front of Guan Luo was a young man.
His cheekbones were high, his eyes were sunken, and his skin was ashen and pale, like a drug addict. He looked like he had been drained dry, with only his skeleton holding up his skin.
Its eyes were bright, golden pupils that looked like two will-o'-the-wisps in the dim light.
He grinned, drool dripping from the corner of his mouth, and the dagger drew a half-circle in the air before stabbing again.
The movement showed no sign of stopping; this was an out-of-control hybrid!
The instinct for bloodlust overwhelmed all judgment!
Guan Luo opened his mouth and spoke for the first time.
What welled up from deep in my throat were ancient syllables.
When that syllable entered the air, the air pressure in the entire living room seemed to freeze.
The rules have been rewritten, and the air is trembling.
The young man's knife-wielding motion froze; his body no longer obeyed his will.
It was as if a verdict had been handed down from the heavens, declaring the end of his fate.
The last syllable Guan Luo uttered was in dragon script:
"die."
The young man's hand holding the dagger fell first, the cut surface as smooth as a mirror.
Then his body was scattered on the ground like building blocks, impossible to put back together.
The young man's golden eyes were still shining, but the madness within them had been replaced by fear.
The smell of blood exploded, strong and sweet, instantly filling the entire living room.
Warm blood splattered all over his face, and there were many scarlet blood spots on his body.
Guan Luo covered his mouth, bent over, and gagged.
I didn't vomit it out.
He straightened up and looked at the pile of things on the ground.
A treasure chest appeared above the corpse, and Guan Luo was pleasantly surprised. Was he getting a treasure chest on his first kill?
Guan Luo reached out and the treasure chest appeared in his personal storage space.
The feeling of standing high above, judging others, vanished instantly, replaced by the physiological reaction of stomach acid rising to my throat.
Guan Luo was surprised that this guy was so weak. He had thought he was a master and was even prepared to risk his life.
It turned out that the young man was actually faking it, and ended up tricking himself.
If Guan Luo had known the opponent was so weak, he wouldn't have used his Word of Power.
The aching soreness seeping from his bones felt like his spine had been removed; every muscle was stinging, and the domineering dragon blood was eroding Guan Luo's body.
Guan Luo looked down at the back of his hand; the bluish veins were bulging under the skin, and something was wriggling inside.
Like a black earthworm, it slowly crawls from the wrist towards the back of the hand.
Turn your hand over; there's also one in the palm. Slowly move it along the tiger's mouth (between the thumb and index finger) towards the fingers.
Guan Luo strongly suspected that this Judgment Bloodline was definitely poisonous, the kind that would shorten one's lifespan if used.
Taking a deep breath, Guan Luo, in so much pain, wanted to lie down on the floor and never get up.
Looking up at the end of the corridor, the bedroom door was half open.
A small head peeked out from the doorway, topped with red hair and a tuft of hair sticking up.
Erii stood at the doorway, her hand resting on the edge of the paper sliding door, her gaze sweeping across the corridor and landing directly on Guan Luo.
Scattered body parts lay in the center of the living room, casting a dark red shadow.
Erii's gaze swept over those things as she ran over from the other side of the corridor.
Bare feet pattered on the wooden floor, the steps short and quick.
As I walked along the edge of the living room, my feet stepped over the bloodstains on the floor, staining my feet with dark red and leaving a trail of small red footprints on the wooden floor.
Guan Luo's body began to lean forward.
Erii rushed in front of him, reaching out with both hands to half-hug and half-embrace Guan Luo, supporting his entire upper body.
Blood was immediately smeared on her nightgown. The blood on Guan Luo's face and neck was still wet, and now it was all smeared on the white fabric on her shoulders and chest, spreading out like flower petals on snow.
He helped Guan Luo walk toward the sofa.
When they reached the sofa, Erii turned to the side and slowly lowered Guan Luo down.
When Guan Luo's back pressed against the sofa cushion, the back of his head also softly rested against the armrest.
……
The warehouse was filled with the smell of blood and gunpowder.
Genji shook off the remaining blood droplets on the spider blade and sheathed his sword.
The man kneeling at her feet slowly leaned forward, his forehead hitting the concrete floor with a dull thud.
Both hands were severed at the wrists, and blood gushed from the cuts, spreading out in a dark red fan shape on the gray ground.
This mixed-race individual's black market organ trafficking business came to an end tonight.
He turned and walked out of the warehouse, his leather shoes avoiding the expanding pool of blood as they touched the ground.
The night breeze carried away the stench of blood from my nose.
People behind me started cleaning up the scene, their footsteps orderly.
Sakura Yabuki stood to the side directing, the light from the tablet computer reflecting on her face, casting a cold white glow.
She was speaking softly into the earpiece, her speech slow and deliberate, pausing occasionally to listen to reports and issue instructions.
A dozen or so men in black suits moved around inside and outside the warehouse, bagging, numbering, and sealing boxes.
Piling should be done where necessary, and sinking should be done where necessary.
Yuan Zhisheng never needed to worry about the aftermath.
He walked to the car, just as Sakura took off her headphones.
"The source of the live organ has been located, and we've already informed the Metropolitan Police Department." Her report was concise and to the point.
Yuan Zhisheng nodded, leaned against the car door, and took out his phone from his pocket.
There are no unread messages on the screen.
He flipped through his contacts, found Crow's name, and dialed it.
After a busy day, the gang was finally taken down. Erii hadn't had a chance to ask about it yet; she should have already returned to Genji Heavy Industries by now.
