A sophomore in college starts by getting a marriage certificate with a female CEO.

evening.

Lu Yang returned home.

As soon as he inserted the key into the lock and pushed open the door, he smelled a strange odor.

There was also a faint smell of burning mixed in...

What the hell?

Lu Yang wrinkled his nose, and then he saw a thick plume of smoke coming from the kitchen.

Who's conducting biochemical experiments in the kitchen?

Lu Yang quickened his pace and entered the kitchen.

really.

Li Xixue stood in front of the stove, with her back to him.

She was wearing a lace slip dress that reached mid-thigh, with two thin straps hanging loosely on her shoulders. The right strap had slipped down a bit, revealing a smooth shoulder and back.

Her long hair was casually draped over her shoulders, swaying slightly as she stirred the food in the wok.

Li Xixue stirred the pot haphazardly with a spatula while tilting her head to avoid the oil splatters.

"What are you doing now?"

Lu Yang couldn't help but speak up.

Also, is it appropriate to stand in the fumes and cook while wearing such clothes?

Li Xixue's back visibly tensed up.

She glanced back.

The stray hairs on her forehead were damp with sweat and clung to her fair skin, her cheeks flushed with a thin layer of pink.

"Cook."

Lu Yang's gaze fell on the stove.

In the pot on the left, there was something black in color, emitting thick smoke.

In the pot on the right, it looks like... scrambled eggs with tomatoes?

The presentation has improved considerably compared to last time.

At least you can tell what it is.

"Oh, if you hadn't told me, I would have thought the house was on fire," Lu Yang said.

Li Xixue ignored him and focused on struggling with the stove.

But the lace nightgown was too short; when she reached out, the hem rode up.

Then they quickly pulled him up.

"Dressed like that while cooking? Aren't you afraid of getting splattered with oil?"

"What's it to you?"

Li Xixue didn't turn her head.

Okay, what does that have to do with me?

Lu Yang walked over and stood next to her.

Upon closer inspection, the neckline of the black lace dress was very low, there was a small drop of oil on her collarbone, and there were several small red spots on her arm where oil had splattered, indicating that she had just been burned.

"Who exactly are you arguing with?"

Lu Yang felt somewhat helpless.

Li Xixue paused for a moment, her hand gripping the spatula.

She didn't answer, but her expression said it all.

How can a woman who manages billions of dollars in assets not even be able to cook a single dish properly?

Isn't it embarrassing to tell people?

Li Xixue changed the subject: "I originally wanted to give you a surprise."

"There was no surprise, but a bit of a shock."

Li Xixue glared at him.

"Don't stand here in the way, go outside and wait."

Lu Yang crossed his arms, showing no intention of leaving.

"I'm leaving, I'm afraid you'll blow up the kitchen."

Li Xixue was too lazy to argue with him.

At least, she has made progress.

"What is this?"

Lu Yang pointed to the pot on the left, which contained a dark, murky mass.

Li Xixue remained silent for two seconds.

Braised pork belly.

Lu Yang looked down at the black object, then looked up at Li Xixue.

"Are you sure this isn't a lump of coal?"

"Shut up."

Li Xixue scooped the lump out and put it on a plate.

It's called braised pork, and it is indeed red in color, but most of it has turned charcoal black.

To be honest, her knife skills have improved; it's clear she's put in a lot of effort.

There was also a piece of paper next to it, with notes written on it in Li Xixue's handwriting.

"Half a spoonful of salt"

"One spoonful of sugar"

Two tablespoons of soy sauce

"Don't leave while the sauce is reducing."

The last line had three exclamation marks added.

She really put her heart into it.

It still burned.

Lu Yang didn't say anything.

However, it's understandable; it would be a miracle if this pampered young lady, who never lifts a finger in her daily life, succeeded.

Li Xixue rested her chin on her hand and stared at the plate of dark, braised pork for a long time.

She was genuinely confused.

She has the final say on the allocation of assets worth billions, and tens of thousands of people in the company listen to her.

How come you stumbled when you got to a pot?

"How about you start with fried eggs next time?" Lu Yang suggested.

"I don't need you to teach me."

Li Xixue's competitive spirit flared up again.

"I'll definitely do better next time."

Lu Yang looked at her defiant expression.

This woman, a cold and aloof female CEO at work, comes home wearing a lace nightgown and wrestles with a pot of braised pork.

The contrast is a bit too great.

"Why did you suddenly cook again today?" Lu Yang asked.

Li Xixue's gaze drifted elsewhere.

"The food in the refrigerator is about to expire."

"Oh, so it has nothing to do with what happened last time?"

"It's okay."

Lu Yang frowned, feeling that she was acting strangely today.

Then, he suddenly noticed a book in the corner.

It reads: A wife's duties.

When Li Xixue saw Lu Yang's gaze, the tips of her ears turned a little red, and she hurriedly put the book into the cabinet.

Lu Yang smiled.

This woman says one thing, but thinks another.

Li Xixue brushed her slightly messy hair from her forehead, leaned back in her chair wearing a lace nightgown, her long hair cascading over her shoulders, the light making her skin appear very white.

She wasn't wearing makeup, and her bare face gave her a softer look compared to when she was wearing makeup.

Lu Yang couldn't help but say, "When did my CEO become so virtuous?"

Li Xixue's expression cracked for a moment, and she prepared to slap this shameless guy.

But Lu Yang grabbed her hand and then moved around to her back.

Li Xixue froze.

Lu Yang's palm was longer than hers, gently enveloping the back of her hand.

The two people were standing very close.

She was so close that she could feel the warmth from his chest, so close that she could touch his chin with a slight tilt of her head.

"you……"

"Don't move."

Lu Yang's voice was right next to her ear, his breath brushing against her earlobe.

Li Xixue's ears turned visibly red.

She tried to break free, but Lu Yang held her hand firmly.

"You want to learn, right? I'll teach you once today."

Lu Yang pressed himself against her from behind and readjusted his position.

Li Xixue lowered her head, her gaze falling on the two people's overlapping hands.

What kind of situation hasn't she seen?

But never before had a man taught her how to cook a dish in this way... step by step.

Lu Yang placed his hand on the back of her hand, and with his other hand he held her wrist, adjusting the angle at which she held the spatula.

Li Xixue was as tense as a string.

"Relax your wrist, don't grip so tightly. You're cooking, not chopping someone up."

Li Xixue remained silent.

Her attention wasn't on the pot at all.

Lu Yang's body temperature wafted through the thin fabric of her clothes; she could feel the warmth of his breath.

"Watch the pot."

Li Xixue bit her lip. She wanted to resist, but for some reason her body wouldn't obey her commands.

As Lu Yang spoke, he guided her hand and flipped it over a couple of times.

The egg mixture slowly solidified in the pot, looking much more normal than the black lump from last time.

"and then?"

Li Xixue spoke.

The sound was much softer than usual.

"Then pour in the tomatoes."

Li Xixue reached out to grab the sliced tomatoes next to her, leaning forward slightly.

With this movement, their backs pressed even tighter together.
