Zombie World: Starting as an apprentice of the Thunder King

Chapter 93: Just escaped from the bear's hand and entered the dragon's mouth again

Lin Bei dodged quickly, the demonic energy grazing his shoulder before slamming into the ground behind him, creating a crater over ten feet deep and sending dirt flying.

"A demon beast with four hundred years of cultivation is indeed quite capable!" Lin Bei steadied himself, and the thunderous power within his body began to surge.

Against such tough and thick-skinned monsters, the Demon-Slaying Sword and talismans have limited effects; the Lightning Thunder Fist is still the most effective.

The leopard demon pounced again, its sharp claws slashing and leaving a trail of afterimages.

Lin Bei dodged left and right, swinging his Demon-Slaying Sword repeatedly while constantly pulling out talismans from his bundle and throwing them out. He managed to withstand this fierce attack.

"Thunderbolt!"

Suddenly, lightning flashed between Lin Bei's fists, and the lightning struck the leopard demon's chest, instantly turning it pitch black.

Roar!

The leopard demon let out a miserable cry, took a few steps back, and smelled a burning odor emanating from its chest. Its eyes gleamed even more fiercely.

"You actually know lightning magic!" The leopard demon was shocked and furious. Lightning power has a natural restraining effect on demonic beasts. This punch made its blood surge, and its injuries were much more serious than they appeared.

"What, scared?" Lin Bei strode forward, lightning gathering in his palm once more. "I haven't had enough fun yet."

"Second move, lightning strikes in all directions!"

The lightning exploded in front of the leopard demon, turning into more than a dozen tiny bolts of lightning that scattered and surged in all directions, covering its entire front.

The leopard demon had nowhere to dodge and was struck by three or four bolts of lightning at the same time, leaving several more charred wounds on its body.

The leopard demon was completely enraged. It roared to the sky, and its demonic energy surged wildly, condensing into a thick black shield on its body.

It moved even faster than before, lunging at Lin Bei like a black lightning bolt, its sharp claws lashing out at his throat with a fierce gust of wind.

Lin Bei raised his sword to block, and with a loud clang, he was thrown back several steps by the force.

The leopard demon's attacks were relentless, claw after claw, at an astonishing speed. Lin Bei was forced to defend passively, and the cracks on his Golden Light Mantra multiplied.

"Trying to outdo me in ruthlessness, huh?" A fierce glint flashed in Lin Bei's eyes as he pulled out more than twenty talismans from his bundle and threw them all out at once.

"Imperial Edict!"

More than twenty exorcising talismans exploded simultaneously in front of the leopard demon, causing it to scream in agony. Its black shield was shattered, and traces of blood finally appeared on its body.

"Ha, you finally broke down! I thought you were made of iron!"

Taking advantage of its disoriented state after the explosion, Lin Bei rushed forward and thrust the Evil-Slaying Sword straight into its waist and abdomen.

"Piercing through the heart!"

This sword strike concentrated all his magical power, the blade gleaming with a dazzling golden light. With a soft thud, it pierced the leopard demon's waist and emerged from the other side.

The leopard demon let out a shrill scream, its body convulsing violently, and blood gushing out of its wounds.

"Die!" Lin Bei slapped another demon-suppressing talisman on the black leopard's forehead with his left hand. The talisman exploded, and golden light enveloped its entire head, completely dissipating the demonic energy.

The leopard demon's body crashed to the ground, twitched a few times, and then fell silent.

Lin Bei drew the Demon-Slaying Sword and plopped down on the ground.

A demon beast with four hundred years of cultivation is much more difficult to deal with than a giant python with three hundred years of cultivation. If we hadn't brought enough talismans, this battle would have been really tough.

He crouched down to deal with the leopard demon's corpse, skinning it and taking out its flesh, pulling out a demon core the size of a fist.

The demon core was jet black, emitting a faint glow. It felt warm and heavy to the touch. This demon core, with its four hundred years of cultivation, was a size larger than the giant python's demon core and contained more energy.

"Good stuff. Once we're out of the secret realm, I'll ask my master what to do with the demon core!" Lin Bei carefully put away the demon core and cut off a few pieces of good meat to take with him.

In the days that followed, Lin Bei ventured into the secret realm.

He encountered several demonic beasts, including a pack of gray wolves with a hundred years of cultivation, a poisonous toad, and a thousand-year-old vine that had become a spirit.

The rattan was harder than iron chains, binding half of his body. It took a lot of effort for him to break free with his Lightning Thunder Fist and escape.

Lin Bei's cultivation level steadily increased during the battles, and his combat experience also accumulated rapidly.

He went from being utterly helpless when facing a four-hundred-year-old demon beast at the beginning to being able to handle demon beasts with hundreds of years of cultivation with ease. He used the Ghost-Slaying Sword Technique and the Thunder Sword Technique alternately, and various talismans were readily available to him. He became more and more adept at fighting.

That evening, Lin Bei discovered a 300-year-old Zhu Fruit at the foot of a mountain.

The Vermilion Fruit was entirely blood-red, about the size of a fist, and emitted a rich aura of spiritual energy. Just smelling it made one's internal magical power more active.

Just as he was about to go and pick it, a deep roar suddenly came from the side.

A giant bear covered in crimson mane emerged from behind the rocks. It was over two zhang tall, with blood-red eyes staring intently at him. Saliva dripped from its mouth, and its demonic aura surged. Its terrifying presence forced Lin Bei to retreat repeatedly.

"Another one trying to eat me!" Looking at the giant bear, Lin Bei felt a little uneasy. This beast's cultivation was too strong, much stronger than any of the beasts he had encountered before.

The giant bear roared and slammed down with its paw, the wind from the blow whistling through the air.

"Humans, die!"

boom!

Lin Bei dodged to the side, and with a loud bang, a large crater was created where he had just been standing, and the ground was smashed with flying debris.

"Hiss! I can't beat it, run!" Lin Bei turned and ran without saying a word. This monster had at least five hundred years of cultivation, and he couldn't fight it head-on right now.

The giant bear was in hot pursuit, its massive body thumping the ground as it ran, yet it was anything but slow.

Lin Bei pushed the Yu Step to its limit, leaping and darting through the forest, using the trees and rocks as cover to evade the giant bear's pursuit. Although the giant bear was very large, it often smashed any trees or rocks that blocked its path with a single slap, making Lin Bei's pursuit extremely difficult.

After running for about half an hour, a huge lake appeared ahead, its water as clear as a mirror.

Without thinking twice, Lin Bei accelerated and leaped into the lake, desperately swimming towards the depths of the lake.

The giant bear chased the bear to the lakeside and stopped, roaring angrily a few times. Its huge paws slammed onto the lake surface, sending up splashes several meters high.

Its scarlet eyes stared into the depths of the lake, a hint of fear flashing in them. It paced anxiously around the lake a few times, then finally let out a low growl and turned to leave.

Lin Bei floated on the water, watching the giant bear's departing figure, and breathed a sigh of relief.

But before he could even feel relieved, he suddenly felt the lake water beneath his feet surge, as if some enormous creature had risen from the depths of the lake.

He looked down and the hairs on his body stood on end.

The shadow beneath the lake was widening, and a massive, breathtaking silhouette slowly rose from the depths.

boom!

A huge column of water shot into the sky from the lake, lifting Lin Bei into the air before slamming him heavily onto a rock protruding from the water.

Ignoring the dazed feeling from the fall, he looked up and was completely dumbfounded.

In the center of the lake, a huge python head slowly rose from the water. It was as big as a water vat, covered with bluish-black scales, and had two bulges on its head, like horns about to burst out of its shell.

The python's head slowly rose, revealing its thick body below. It circled once on the water's surface, its vertical pupils looking down at Lin Bei.

"Jiao..." Lin Bei's voice trembled.
