A giant blue python, several meters long, was coiled next to the Polygonum multiflorum plant, its scales gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

The giant python raised its head high, its vertical pupils fixed on Lin Bei, its scarlet forked tongue flicking in and out, hissing.

The demonic aura emanating from him was astonishingly strong, indicating at least three hundred years of cultivation.

"I didn't expect another disciple of the Maoshan Sect to come in!" The giant blue python opened its mouth and spoke in human language: "I have guarded this He Shou Wu (Polygonum multiflorum) for over a hundred years, and it's finally almost ripe. You, a little Taoist, think you can just come and take what's already there? No way!"

Lin Bei sneered, pointing his sword at the giant python: "You snake have been monopolizing the spiritual herbs planted by our ancestor for over a hundred years, and you still have the nerve to talk to me about whether it's a legitimate or not?"

"Every blade of grass and every tree in this secret realm belongs to Maoshan. How dare you, an outsider, occupy this territory and act so arrogantly?"

"Outsiders?"

The giant blue python let out a sharp laugh, its body slowly slithering and leaving a deep mark on the ground. "I have been in this secret realm for nearly three hundred years, which is higher than the seniority of most of the elders of Maoshan."

"You little Taoist priest, do you dare to talk to me about seniority? If you know what's good for you, get lost right now, or I'll show you what it means to be disemboweled."

"Open my belly? I'll see if you'll open my belly or I'll stew you into snake soup today!" Lin Bei stepped on the Yu Step and rushed forward, his body blurring as he thrust the Evil-Slaying Sword straight at the giant python's seven-inch mark.

"The first move of the Maoshan Demon-Slaying Sword Technique: Breaking Evil!"

The sword tip, carrying a sharp aura, precisely pierced the scales on the giant python's seventh inch.

clang!

With a crisp sound, most of the sword energy was deflected by the scales, leaving only a shallow white mark on it, without even breaking the scales.

Lin Bei was shocked. Even with such hard scales, the giant python's defenses couldn't be broken!

The giant python sneered and swept its tail across the ground with astonishing speed.

Lin Bei sheathed his sword to parry, and with a loud clang, a tremendous force came from the sword, making his hands go numb and sending him flying five or six meters away!

"Is that all the strength you have? Not even enough to tickle me." The giant python sneered, its massive body suddenly leaping forward, opening its blood-red maw to bite down on Lin Bei's head. Its two rows of sharp teeth gleamed coldly, and a foul stench assaulted his senses.

Lin Bei dodged to the left, and the Demon-Slaying Sword slashed horizontally.

"Second move, bone break!"

The sword struck the giant python's waist and abdomen, the sword energy exploding on the scales, leaving a half-inch deep wound from which a few drops of dark red blood seeped out.

The giant python hissed in pain, its eyes flashing with ferocity, and its tail swept across again, creating a whooshing sound as it cut through the air.

Lin Bei had no time to dodge and had no choice but to use the Golden Light Mantra to withstand the attack.

"Golden light appeared swiftly, enveloping my body!"

A golden light enveloped him, but when the snake's tail struck the golden light, it shattered instantly. Lin Bei was sent flying again, crashing into a large tree, a dull pain shooting through his back.

"Little Taoist, you're done for, aren't you?" The giant python swam over triumphantly, its vertical pupils full of mockery. "I saw that you were young and your cultivation was not high. If you had just obediently left, I could have spared your life. But you insisted on making trouble for me."

Lin Bei got up from the ground, dusted himself off, and suddenly smiled at the giant python: "A snake demon with three hundred years of cultivation is indeed quite capable, but I'm in a good mood today, so I won't bother with you. I'm leaving now, see you another day!"

After he finished speaking, he turned and ran, using the Yu Step technique to weave through the forest at a speed as fast as the wind.

The giant python paused for a moment, then reacted, roaring as it gave chase: "You little brat, how dare you play tricks on me!"

A man and a snake engaged in a chase through the dense forest.

Lin Bei pushed the Yu Step to its limit, his body darting left and right, using the trees and rocks as cover to evade the giant python's pursuit.

Although the python was enormous, it moved extremely fast, smashing through countless trees as thick as bowls along the way and causing chaos in Linbei.

"Little Taoist! You can't escape!" The giant python roared from behind, its tail sweeping across and snapping a huge tree, as thick as a person's embrace, in half. The tree crashed to the ground, almost hitting Lin Bei.

Lin Bei shouted without turning his head, "Whether you can escape or not isn't up to you. If you're so capable, catch up with me!"

The giant python went berserk with rage and increased its speed even further.

Lin Bei felt the foul wind behind him getting closer and closer. When he turned around, he saw that the giant python's mouth was almost touching his heels. He quickly sped forward.

As they ran, the spiritual energy ahead suddenly became violent, with faint blue and white lightning flashing in the distance, and the air filled with the unique aura of thunder.

Lin Bei looked up and saw a low valley in front of him. Lightning flashed in the valley, and several bolts of lightning struck down from the clouds, making a deafening roar.

"Holy crap, where is this place? There's even lightning in this secret realm?" Lin Bei was shocked and glanced back at the giant python that was relentlessly pursuing him.

"Never mind, when a man dies, his eggs fly to the sky; if he doesn't die, he'll live for ten thousand years. At worst, in eighteen years, I'll be a hero again!"

"May the Ancestral Master protect me!" he shouted before rushing into Thunder Valley.

The giant python chased the snake to the valley entrance, then suddenly stopped, its vertical pupils filled with terror.

It perched on the edge of the valley entrance, roaring angrily at Lin Bei's retreating figure: "You little brat, are you crazy! That's Thunder Valley! Once you go in, you won't come out!"

Lin Bei didn't even turn his head, shouting as he ran, "Whether I can get out or not is my business, what's it to you? Come in if you dare!"

The giant python angrily circled the valley entrance several times. The lightning that struck down from time to time in the valley prevented it from stepping into Thunder Valley. It could only roar angrily outside the valley and snap several large trees with its tail to vent its anger.

Before Lin Bei could even catch his breath after rushing into Thunder Valley, a bolt of lightning struck him precisely half a foot from his shoulder, creating a large crater in the ground and sending debris flying.

Immediately following was a second bolt of lightning, which struck straight down on his head.

Lin Bei was terrified and quickly dodged. The lightning grazed his side and struck the ground, making his ears ring.

Lei Gu seemed to be enraged by his intrusion. The lightning in the clouds surged wildly, and bolts of lightning struck down one after another, all aimed at Lin Bei.

He dodged left and right, his steps were incredibly fast, and his figure weaved and leaped through the lightning.

The lightning in Thunder Valley was too dense. He dodged the first five bolts, but was struck in the left shoulder by the sixth.

Suddenly, a surge of violent lightning power rushed into his body, running wildly along his meridians, numbing half of his body.

Lin Bei groaned, knelt on one knee, and spat out a mouthful of blood. A large hole was ripped through his Taoist robe on his shoulder, and his copper-skinned body was charred black.

"Ouch...that fucking hurts!" Lin Bei cursed, wincing in pain. Before he could even stand up, two more bolts of lightning struck down simultaneously, one from the left and one from the right, blocking all his escape routes.

Lightning exploded on his body, and Lin Bei screamed as he was struck and fell to the ground, black smoke billowing from his body.

Lei Gu seemed to sense that he was not dead, and the lightning in the clouds became even more violent, with several bolts of lightning poised to strike and kill him completely.
