Zombie World: Starting as an apprentice of the Thunder King

Chapter 59 The Nine-Word Mantra: Slaying Master Gray 9

"Come on, who's afraid of who!" Lin Bei thought fiercely, his inner thunder power surging wildly, the Lightning Thunder Fist was his backup plan!

Suddenly, three figures jumped down from the courtyard wall.

Three people, dressed in blue Taoist robes, with their hair tied in buns and peach wood swords hanging at their waists.

The leader was a young man in his twenties with a square face, thick eyebrows, and big eyes; he looked quite upright.

After landing, he glanced around the courtyard and his gaze fell on Lin Bei.

"Fellow Daoist, don't panic, disciples of the Quanzhen Sect are here!"

Lin Bei's eyes lit up. Quanzhen Sect? That's a famous sect in the North. Although it's not as powerful as Maoshan, it's still a top-tier sect in the world.

"You audacious fiend, how dare you harm people here! Die!"

The young man in the lead shouted angrily and charged into the battle, fighting with the gray immortals.

The leader was the most powerful, a late-stage Daoist. With a single thrust of his sword, sword energy surged forth, forcing a two-hundred-year-old rat back several steps.

The other two were a mid-stage Taoist master and an early-stage Taoist master. Although their cultivation levels were not high, the three of them cooperated well and managed to block seven or eight large rats in a short time.

Lin Bei felt much less stressed and took the opportunity to catch his breath.

"Thank you, fellow Daoists!"

The leader forced back a large rat with a single sword strike, then turned and smiled at Lin Bei.

"You're too kind. Slaying demons and monsters is our duty!"

Before he could finish speaking, Rat Mountain pounced from the side and slapped him on the back with a claw.

Bang!

Pfft!!!

The leader was sent flying several meters, spitting out mouthfuls of blood.

"Senior brother!" the other two Quanzhen disciples shouted.

They wanted to rush over to help, but they were entangled by the gray spirits in front of them and couldn't break free.

"You? You think you can slay demons and monsters?"

Rat Mountain roared and swiped at the neck of the leader.

Lin Bei gritted his teeth and rushed forward, blocking the attack with his sword.

"clang!"

The Demon-Slaying Sword collided with the claw, instantly cracking Lin Bei's tiger's mouth and nearly causing the Demon-Slaying Sword to slip from his grasp.

Rat Mountain swung its claws back and grabbed Lin Bei's shoulder, leaving three deep wounds that exposed bone.

"Go to hell!" Lin Bei took the opportunity to punch it in the face.

"Elbow strike!"

Shushan's head tilted to the side after being hit, and he took two steps back!

The other two Quanzhen disciples couldn't hold on any longer either. One was surrounded by three gray immortals and had several wounds on his body. The other was in even worse shape. He was knocked to the ground by a four-hundred-year-old gray immortal with a single claw, his Taoist robe was torn to shreds, and blood was flowing freely.

"Fellow Daoist, hold on!" Lin Bei shouted.

The three Quanzhen Sect disciples were all seriously injured and lay on the ground, unable to get up.

"Are you three here to get yourselves killed? Why are you shouting so loudly!"

"Damn it, I'll fight you to the death!"

"Heaven and earth are boundless, the universe borrows its power, thunder and lightning abound, heed my command!"

"Lightning Thunder Fist!"

Two faint bolts of lightning shot out from his palms and struck the two gray immortals at the forefront.

Bang!Bang!

The two gray fairy spirits were struck by lightning, screamed, and flew away, with two bowl-sized holes blasted into their chests!

After lying on the ground and wailing for a while, it gradually lost its breath!

After Lin Bei finished fighting, he collapsed to the ground, his magic power completely exhausted, not a single drop left.

"Little Taoist priest, you're out of magic, aren't you?" Rat Mountain grinned as he walked over. "My turn!"

"Die!"

It clawed at Lin Bei's neck.

Just then, a golden light shot from afar and struck it.

what! ! !

Shushan screamed as golden light pierced through his body, leaving a fist-sized hole in his chest from which blood gushed out like a fountain.

It looked down at the hole in its chest, its eyes filled with terror and resentment, "Ancestor... Ancestor..."

Finally, he breathed his last and died!

"Waiter..." Seeing his most beloved son and grandson killed, Master Gray was filled with grief and indignation, and hatred had clouded his mind.

"Madanna, I..." Before Master Hui could finish speaking, Madanna began to emit a strange aura.

Madana formed hand seals, and the Nine Syllable Mantra flowed around her.

"Lin, Bing, Dou, Zhe, Jie, Zhen, Lie, Qian, Xing!"

"Slay the evil!"

The nine-syllable mantra transformed into nine golden rays, which coalesced into a golden dragon in front of her.

hold head high!!!

The dragon roared to the sky and pounced on Gray Ninth Master.

"Damn it, it's the Nine Syllable Mantra!"

Master Hui's expression changed drastically. He exerted all his strength to condense a huge ball of gray demonic energy and blasted it towards the divine dragon.

To its shock, the gray demonic energy was swallowed whole by the dragon, and it watched helplessly as the dragon crashed into it.

boom!!!

The dragon had pierced through Grey Ninth Master's body, leaving a hole the size of a water vat in his chest. He looked down at his chest, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"No...impossible...I have eight hundred years of cultivation...how could this be..."

Gray Ninth Master's body crashed to the ground, twitched a few times, and then fell completely silent.

"Ancestor... Ancestor is dead!"

"Run!"

When the gray spirits saw that their ancestor was dead, they were so frightened that their souls left their bodies and they turned and ran away.

In the blink of an eye, they were all gone, not a single one left.

Madana withdrew the Nine Syllable Mantra, her face pale and her forehead covered in cold sweat.

This move consumed most of her magical power.

She walked to the body of Master Hui Jiu, glanced at it, and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that it was completely dead.

Lin Bei slumped to the ground, covered in blood, and grinned as he looked at Gray Ninth Master's corpse.

"Dead...dead?"

"Hehe, I survived again!"

Madonna walked over, giving him a disapproving glare. "Can you even walk?"

Lin Bei tried to stand up, but his severe injuries left him with no strength.

"It seems...not quite right."

The three Quanzhen Sect disciples also struggled to their feet and helped each other to Lin Bei's side.

The leader clasped his hands in greeting to Lin Bei, "Li Zhichang of the Quanzhen Sect, and these two are my junior brothers Wang Zhiyuan and Zhang Zhihe. Greetings, fellow Daoist."

Lin Bei clasped his hands in return, saying, "Lin Bei from Maoshan thanks you three fellow Daoists for saving my life."

Li Zhichang waved his hand, "Fellow Daoist, you're too kind. We weren't much of a help, and we almost got ourselves killed."

He looked at Lin Bei's injuries and frowned: "Fellow Daoist, you are seriously injured. My fellow disciples and I are also injured. We need to find a place to recuperate."

Madana walked straight up to Old Master Ye and looked at him coldly.

Old Master Ye slumped to the ground, his face deathly pale. With the death of Hui Jiaxian, his most powerful backer was gone.

"What...what do you want to do?"

Madana ignored him and turned to look at Ye Liangchen.

"Prepare a few rooms; we need to recuperate."

Ye Liangchen nodded repeatedly, got up, and ran.

"Thank goodness, I didn't kneel too early; I knelt at just the right time!"

Grandpa Ye opened his mouth as if to say something, but then swallowed it back.

He glanced at Gray Ninth Master's corpse, his eyes filled with fear and despair.

Madana grabbed Lin Bei by the back of the collar and lifted him off the ground.

"Change positions! Sister Na, change positions!" Lin Bei struggled. "So many people are watching! If word gets out, how am I supposed to face the world?"

Madana ignored him, picked him up and walked towards the backyard, with three Quanzhen Sect disciples supporting each other as they followed behind.

Ye Liangchen had prepared several clean rooms, and had hot water boiled, along with clean clothes and medicinal herbs.

Madanna threw Lin Bei onto the bed, took out wound medicine and healing pills from her bundle, and tossed them to him.

"Take care of it yourself." Then he turned around to treat the wounds of the three Quanzhen Sect disciples.

Lin Bei lay on the bed, grimacing as he applied the medicine to himself.

He had at least a dozen wounds on his body, the deepest one being on his chest that almost broke the bone.

"Damn it, Master Hui deserved to die."

Lin Bei cursed as he applied the medicine, wincing in pain.

But I was still quite happy. With Master Hui dead, one less major threat was eliminated.

Although the Hui family has other Hui family immortals, without Master Hui Jiu, they are just a disorganized mess.

After applying the medicine, Lin Bei sat cross-legged and began meditating to heal his injuries.

There's no magic power left in my dantian; I need to recover it quickly.

As the Taishang Ganying Pian (太上感感篇) circulates, external spiritual energy slowly flows into the body, passing through the meridians and into the dantian (丹田).

Slightly, the magical power began to re-condense, slowly but surely, it was recovering.

In the next room, after treating the wounds of three Quanzhen Sect disciples, Madana returned to her own room and began to meditate.

Ye Liangchen stood in the corridor, bustling about, a smile on his face, his heart overflowing with joy.

With Hui Jiaxian dead and Old Master Ye crippled, the Ye family will now belong to him.

He glanced at Lin Bei and Madanna's room, a hint of awe flashing in his eyes.

These Taoist priests are not to be trifled with; they can conjure lightning with their bare hands or summon divine dragons—they're terrifying!
