Liu Daba's finger was on the trigger, but for some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to pull it.

The young Taoist's eyes were terrifying; they made him tremble with fear!

"Heh, you're the first person to call me a demonic cultivator!"

"You dare call me a heretical Taoist priest from the esteemed Maoshan sect!"

Lin Bei was furious; the term "demon" was a disgrace to him!

Just then, the door to the next room opened.

Madana came out, still wearing a black Taoist robe and with her hair in a ponytail.

She glanced at the horrific scene in the corridor, then at Liu Daba La.

"Who are you?"

Liu Daba swallowed hard. "The...the security team..."

"Security team? Arresting people without any basis in fact? And even threatening to fire shots?"

Madana snorted coldly and unleashed a burst of spiritual energy, striking Liu Daba La's body.

Liu Daba was sent flying, crashing into the lobby and losing consciousness.

Madana clapped her hands and looked at Lin Bei.

"What happened?"

Lin Bei shrugged. "I don't know. These soldiers suddenly rushed in to arrest me, saying I'm suspected of murder."

"But I guess it's someone from the Ye family!"

"Let's ask the boss, he should know!" Madana frowned, turned and went downstairs, Lin Bei followed behind, and the two walked to the lobby.

The innkeeper was hiding behind the counter, trembling all over. He was terrified when he saw the two people come down!

Madonna walked to the counter. "Who sent them?"

The shopkeeper's lips trembled as he pointed outside. "The Ye...the Ye family...Old Master Ye..."

Lin Bei's eyes turned cold: "Are you sure it's the Ye family?"

"It was...it was Old Master Ye who sent Captain Liu...saying that you killed his two sons..."

Lin Bei sneered: "Two sons? Those two good-for-nothings who were possessed by the Hui family last night?"

"They asked for it themselves, what does it have to do with me?"

Madana turned and walked out. "Let's go to the Ye family. This matter can't be left like this!"

The two left the inn and strode towards the Ye family's ancestral home.

The courtyard was quiet, and no one responded.

Lin Bei's face darkened, and he shouted again, "Old Master Ye! You sent men to arrest Daoist Master, while you hide inside like a coward? Have the guts to come out!"

Several servants ran out of the side room, carrying wooden sticks and kitchen knives, and surrounded Lin Bei.

"Who...who are you? How dare you cause trouble at the Ye family's residence?"

Lin Bei glanced at them. "Daoist Lin Bei, I have business with your master, get out of the way!"

The servants looked at each other, none of them making way.

One of the leaders mustered his courage and said, "Our master isn't someone you can just see whenever you want..."

Lin Bei, too lazy to waste words, rushed directly into the servants' group chat.

Once the Tai Chi was unleashed, one punch after another, and in just a few punches and kicks, all the servants were knocked to the ground.

The servants lay on the ground groaning, their wooden sticks and kitchen knives scattered all over the floor.

"A bunch of lackeys, spouting nonsense just to get attention!"

Lin Bei clapped his hands and continued walking towards the backyard.

Madana followed behind, observing Lin Bei's behavior, and felt that something was off about the whole situation.

The Taoist priests on Maoshan Mountain are all upright and polite to everyone. Why do they keep calling Lin Bei "Master Taoist"?

The two went straight to the backyard, where Old Master Ye was standing in front of the offering table, holding three incense sticks in his hand, his face ashen.

"Bullshit!" Old Master Ye slammed his hand on the offering table. "You're the one who injured my son, you're the one who killed him!"

Old Master Ye's expression changed, but he quickly regained his fierce look.

"Enough with the nonsense! You killed my son, you must pay with your life!"

Old Master Ye pointed at Lin Bei's nose, his finger trembling.

Lin Bei laughed loudly: "The Gray Family Immortal? With those gray rats?"
