Zombie World: Starting as an apprentice of the Thunder King

Chapter 30 Master, you've become Thor!

Shi Jian stood at the mountain gate, gazing at the distant mountains and forests, lost in thought.

He turned around only after the two of them had finished tidying up.

"Go wash up and go to bed early, you have things to do tomorrow."

"What is it, Master?" Lin Bei asked blankly.

Shi Jian did not answer, and walked into the main hall with his hands behind his back.

Lin Bei and Shi Shaojian exchanged a glance, shrugged, and went back to their rooms to take a shower.

Meanwhile, Grandpa Hu returned to the back of Qingqiu Mountain with Huang San Niang and Hui Jiu Ye.

When the white light dissipated, the two demons fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

Grandpa Hu sat at the head of the table, looking at the two good-for-nothings with a rather unpleasant expression.

Huang San Niang struggled to get up, her eyes filled with resentment and malice.

"Grandpa Hu, why didn't you make a move just now? Shi Jian was right in front of you. With your thousand years of cultivation, killing him would have been a piece of cake!"

A cold glint flashed in Hu San Taiye's eyes, and his demonic power surged.

An immense pressure surged from its body, pressing down on Huang San Niang like a mountain.

Huang Sanniang was pressed to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood, her expression terrified.

"You...you..."

"What do you mean, 'what are you talking about'?" Old Master Hu looked at it coldly. "Are you trying to teach me how to do things?"

Huang San Niang then realized that the person in front of her was a thousand-year-old demon and the head of the five great immortal families.

It immediately lowered its head obediently, no longer daring to be presumptuous!

Master Hui lay on the ground, his eyes darting around, not daring to utter a sound, who knows what wicked idea he was plotting!

Grandpa Hu withdrew his imposing aura and sighed.

"Do you think I don't want to kill Shi Jian?" Old Master Hu shook his head. "It's just that I can't."

Huang San Niang raised her head, her eyes filled with disbelief.

"Can't kill him? With your thousand years of cultivation, how could you possibly not kill a mere peak Earth Master?"

Grandpa Hu glanced at it: "Peak of the Earth Master? You underestimate Shi Jian."

"I sensed a threatening aura emanating from him; it was faint, but it was definitely there."

"There aren't many things in the entire cultivation world that can make me feel threatened, but each one is extremely powerful."

Huang San Niang and Hui Jiu Ye exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with horror.

"What could it be?" Gray Ninth Master couldn't help but ask.

Grandpa Hu shook his head: "I don't know, but I'm sure Shi Jian has a trump card, a trump card that can threaten me."

"If I were to take action, even if I could kill him, I would be in serious trouble. It's not worth it for the two of you."

They were only now beginning to feel fear. Even the Third Master Hu, who had cultivated for a thousand years, was wary of Shi Jian. What were these two compared to him?

Grey Ninth Master was filled with regret. If he had known Shi Jian was so fierce, he would never have gotten involved in this mess.

Three hundred years of cultivation were wiped out, and a piece of his tail was even broken off. What a huge loss.

Huang San Niang felt regret, but more than that, she felt resentful that she could not avenge her great-grandson.

Grandpa Hu looked at the two demons and shook his head.

"Go back and recover from your injuries. Don't cause any more trouble. I've already taken care of things with Shi Jian. From now on, you and Qingzhu Mountain will keep to your own business."

"If you cause any more trouble, even I can't save you."

"Also, you must each return one of the two spiritual herbs I gave you!"

Huang San Niang paused, then said somewhat awkwardly, "Grandpa Hu, it's not that I really don't have any five-hundred-year-old spiritual herbs left. I used the last one to heal my injuries, but I still have a few three-hundred-year-old ones!"

Grandpa Hu nodded slowly, "Alright, what about you?" Grandpa Hu looked at Master Hui!

Gray Ninth Master's face turned green. Damn it, I was at most an accomplice, and I didn't get any benefits, but I still have to suffer huge losses?

It wanted to argue a bit more, but seeing Old Master Hu's cold gaze, it immediately stopped talking.

"Alright, of the Five Hundred Maidens's medicinal herbs, I have one that survived!"

Grandpa Hu finally smiled. "Alright, I'll remember what you said!"

"Get out!"

Huang San Niang and Hui Jiu Ye nodded repeatedly and slunk away.

Grandpa Hu sat at the head of the table, gazing in the direction of Green Bamboo Mountain, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

"Shi Jian, Shi Jian, what exactly is your trump card?"

The battle at Qingzhu Mountain caused a huge stir.

In the town dozens of miles away, the people heard the loud noise coming from the mountain, especially the flashes of lightning.

A few brave souls ran out of town in the middle of the night and climbed down to the foot of the mountain to take a look.

From afar, they saw a figure atop Mount Qingzhu, its body wreathed in lightning, holding a massive pillar of lightning in its hands, like the legendary Thunder God.

The news spread like wildfire throughout the town early the next morning.

"Did you know? Master Shi of Qingzhu Mountain is a thunder god descended from heaven!"

"Really?"

"It's true! I saw it with my own eyes! Last night, there was lightning flashing on the top of Qingzhu Mountain, and Master Shi was standing right in the middle of the lightning, looking exactly like the Thunder God depicted in the temple!"

"I saw it too! That bolt of lightning was as thick as a water vat, shooting straight up into the clouds and tearing a huge gash in them!"

"Master Shi has been slaying demons and monsters. There must have been some monster causing trouble at Green Bamboo Mountain and was struck down by Master Shi's heavenly lightning."

"I told you long ago that Master Shi is no ordinary person, but you didn't believe me. Now do you believe me?"

The news spread wider and wider, becoming increasingly exaggerated.

Some say that Shi Jian was a thunder god descended from heaven to earth, specifically to slay demons and monsters.

Some say that Shi Jian cultivated for five hundred years and has become an immortal.

Some people even said they saw Shi Jian ride on thunderclouds and fly into the sky.

Within a few days, the whole county knew that there was a Taoist priest named Lei Shen on Qingzhu Mountain.

So much so that when Lin Bei went down the mountain to buy vegetables, he was surrounded by a group of people.

"Master Lin, is your master really the Thunder God reincarnated?"

"Master Lin, could your master teach us a few self-defense techniques?"

"Master Lin, could you please ask your master when he will have time to visit our village? Things have been a bit unsettled in our village lately."

Lin Bei was overwhelmed by the questions. After finally managing to squeeze out of the crowd, he ran to Jufulou to buy some vegetables and then hurried back.

Back on the mountain, he told Shi Jian about these things!

"Master, you're a celebrity now! The people in town all say you're the Thunder God reincarnated."

Shi Jian remained expressionless: "A bunch of fools, let them say whatever they want."

"Master, you're not angry?"

"Why are you angry?" Shi Jian glanced at him. "It's their business what they want to say. I'm cultivating my own path, what does it have to do with them?"

Lin Bei gave a thumbs up: "Master, your attitude is amazing."

Shi Jian ignored him and turned to enter the main hall.

Lin Bei looked at Shi Jian's back and felt utterly impressed.

That's the demeanor of a true master.

Shi Jian walked into the main hall and took out the two jade boxes from his sleeve.

The first one contained the 500-year-old purple lingzhi mushroom, and the other one contained the 300-year-old ginseng.

Shi Jian looked at the two spiritual herbs, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes.

"Good stuff." He muttered to himself, "The purple lingzhi can be used to refine pills, and the old ginseng can be taken directly, which can greatly increase one's cultivation level."

He carefully put the jade box away and took out the purple talisman from his sleeve.

The purple talisman was covered with intricate runes, each stroke emitting a faint glow.

"A thousand-year-old demon beast, it makes excellent material for crafting silver talismans!"

He put away the purple talisman, closed his eyes, and continued meditating.

The magical power in his dantian circulated slowly. He didn't plan to use the three-hundred-year-old ginseng for the time being. It would be more effective to use it on Lin Bei and Shi Shaojian when their cultivation levels were higher.

Those two boys are Shi Jian's disciples, and they will inherit his mantle in the future.
