After he left, the atmosphere in the mortuary remained somber for several days.

Qiu Sheng sighed all day long and couldn't even muster the energy to work.

Shi Shaojian, however, took it in stride: "Wencai has some issues on his mind. It's good to let him go out for a while. Maybe he'll come back once he's figured things out."

Qiu Sheng nodded and said nothing more.

Three days later, Uncle Nine's injuries had almost healed, and his complexion had largely returned to normal.

Qiu Sheng was also laughing along, while only Fatty Huang was huffing and puffing behind them.

"Let's go in and take a look!" Lin Bei lifted his foot and walked towards the entrance of the brothel.

Shi Shaojian was stunned for a moment, then quickly caught up: "Junior brother, what's this? Going to a brothel on company money?"

"Get lost!"

Just as the group reached the door, the carved wooden door was suddenly pushed open from the inside.

A girl in a pink dress tumbled out and fell on the steps by the door.

There was a purplish-black bite mark on her neck, and the skin around the wound was beginning to turn blue.

Several girls huddled behind the counter, trembling. In the center of the lobby, two figures in pink dresses lay on the floor.

The two figures were slowly writhing, their skin turning bluish-white at a visible speed.

Its nails grew long and black, and two sharp fangs grew out of its mouth.

"White zombie!"

Lin Bei made his judgment after just one glance, "They must be these two, since they just formed not long ago."

Shi Shaojian had already drawn his Demon-Slaying Sword: "I'll do it!"

As soon as he finished speaking, one of the female corpses suddenly sprang up, opened her mouth, and lunged at Shi Shaojian, who was closest to her.

Shi Shaojian finished off the first white zombie with a final strike: "Done!"

Lin Bei walked over and activated the corpse-suppressing talisman on the forehead of the second white zombie. The talisman's light exploded, killing it as well.

The commotion in the lobby alerted the guests in the backyard, and several guests wrapped in sheets came out curiously.

Upon seeing the two zombie corpses, he was terrified and collapsed on the spot!

The madam collapsed to the ground, her legs too weak to stand: "Two Taoist priests, what... what happened?!"
