Under the cover of night, three black SUVs silently glided into the back alley of Ruihe Private Hospital in the southern district of the provincial capital.

The engine was turned off, and Lin Fei pushed open the car door, his leather shoes stepping onto the asphalt road where water had accumulated.

Ten elite soldiers from Zhongtang, dressed in black suits, got out of the car and slammed the doors shut behind them.

"Grandpa has ordered that the person must be alive, and the box must be taken back," Lin Fei said in a low voice.

The ten men nodded in unison, pulled out steel batons from the trunk, and tucked them inside their suits.

Lin Fei looked up at the third floor of the hospital. Several windows were lit with a stark white light. That was the hemodialysis center.

Five or six unlicensed vans were parked at the hospital's main entrance, and a dozen plainclothes men loitered around the flowerbeds and steps, cigarettes between their fingers, their eyes fixed on the entrance. The Zhao family had blocked the way in front of them.

Lin Fei made a gesture and led his men toward the freight elevator at the back entrance of the hospital, which was used to transport medical waste.

Third floor, corridor of the hemodialysis center.

Leng Qiu sat on a plastic bench outside the ward, clutching a silver combination lock box tightly with both hands.

Her face was deathly pale, her hair was disheveled, and her nails dug deeply into her palms.

In the ward, her mother was lying in bed receiving dialysis, the machine emitting a monotonous ticking sound.

At the end of the corridor, two men in sanitation worker uniforms were slowly pushing a garbage cart closer.

Their eyes were fixed on the briefcase in Leng Qiu's hand, completely ignoring the stains on the ground.

At the nurses' station on the right, a doctor wearing a white coat and a mask was flipping through patient records, walking slowly toward Leng Qiu.

Leng Qiu hugged the briefcase even tighter, stood up, and retreated to the door of the ward.

"Li Ping's family, it's time to sign." The doctor in the white coat stopped three steps away from Leng Qiu and handed her a folder with a pen attached.

Leng Qiu didn't take it. Her gaze went past the folder and landed on the doctor's gloved right hand.

The way that hand held the pen was wrong; the index finger was slightly bent, a muscle memory that was always ready to pull the trigger.

"I already signed it." Leng Qiu's voice trembled as her back pressed against the cold door panel.

The doctor didn't reply, but instead reached his right hand directly into the large pocket of his white coat.

The iron gate to the emergency exit at the end of the corridor was kicked open.

The sound of the impact echoed in the corridor as Lin Fei led ten elite members of the Loyal Hall out.

The two men in sanitation worker uniforms reacted quickly, pulling out machetes from under the garbage truck and rushing towards Lin Fei.

Lin Fei didn't even stop walking. The steel baton slid out of his sleeve and swung it around, hitting the side of the cleaner's knee on the left.

The cracking sound of bones breaking was accompanied by a scream, and the man immediately collapsed to his knees.

The sanitation worker on the right swung his machete at Lin Fei's shoulder, but Lin Fei neither dodged nor avoided it, taking the blow head-on.

The blade struck the bulletproof bio-fiber vest, but didn't completely cut through the outer suit jacket, only producing a muffled thud.

The cleaner was stunned. Lin Fei then swung a stick at his chin, knocking him unconscious on the spot.

Seeing this, the doctor in the white coat took out a black pistol with a silencer from his pocket and pointed the muzzle directly at Leng Qiu's head.

"Give me the box," the doctor said, his accent thick with regional regional accent.

Leng Qiu was so frightened that her legs went weak, and she slid down the door panel to sit on the ground, pressing the combination lock box tightly against her chest.

Lin Fei was five steps away from the doctor when he grabbed a stainless steel swivel chair from the nurses' station next to him and slammed it down on the doctor.

The swivel chair hit the doctor's arm, the pistol went off accidentally, and the bullet shattered the glass window next to it.

The doctor threw aside the swivel chair, turned the gun towards Lin Fei, and pulled the trigger repeatedly.

Two muffled thuds sounded. The bullets struck Lin Fei in the chest.

Lin Fei was knocked back half a step by the impact, but his bulletproof vest protected him from fatal injuries.

He steadied himself, used his legs to propel himself forward, and grabbed the doctor's wrist holding the gun tightly with his left hand, forcefully bending it downwards.

The pistol fell to the ground.

The doctor made a fist with his left hand and struck Lin Fei's throat.

Lin Fei dodged to the side, then precisely gripped the doctor's neck with his right hand, tightening his grip with his fingers and twisting his waist sharply.

The neck bone snapped with a crack.

The doctor rolled his eyes and collapsed to the ground. Lin Fei let go and casually ripped open the collar of the doctor's white coat.

Below her collarbone was a blood-red double cherry blossom tattoo.

Lin Fei stared at the tattoo, frowning.

These aren't thugs from the Zhao family's underground bank; they're professional assassins hired by the Mitsui Group.

To silence witnesses, the chaebol even mobilized foreign agents.

At the other end of the corridor, the elevator doors opened one after another.

More than twenty Zhao family thugs, wielding machetes and steel pipes, surged out. The man leading them, with a face full of scars, pointed at Lin Fei and roared, "Kill them! Take the boxes!"

Lin Fei turned around and pulled Leng Qiu up from the ground.

"It's the Lin family's business," Lin Fei said, only uttering four words.

Upon hearing the words "Lin family," Leng Qiu's fear subsided slightly, and she struggled to regain her balance.

"My mom is still in there on dialysis!" Leng Qiu pointed to the ward door.

"Da Biao has already gone to pick her up. Come with me." Lin Fei pushed open the door to the ward and shoved Leng Qiu inside.

Ten elite members of the Loyal Hall lined up in formation in the corridor, their steel batons meeting the Zhao family thugs who charged at them.

The bulletproof vests gave them an absolute defensive advantage, and the sounds of bones breaking and screams filled the corridor.

Lin Fei locked the door from the inside. He ran to the window, opened it, and looked down.

Two black SUVs were already parked on the lawn downstairs, their doors open.

Lin Fei untied the climbing rope from his tactical belt, tied one end to the sturdy iron frame of the hospital bed, and the other end to Leng Qiu's waist.

"Give me the box." Lin Fei held out his hand.

Leng Qiu hesitated for a second before handing the briefcase to Lin Fei.

Lin Fei hung the box around his neck, grabbed Leng Qiu's waist with one hand, and flipped himself over the windowsill.

The wind whistled past their ears. The two of them quickly descended along the wall and landed steadily on the lawn.

The driver immediately opened the car door and shoved Leng Qiu into the back seat. Lin Fei followed and climbed in.

Upstairs, ten elite soldiers from the Loyal Hall completed their cover and slid down the ropes one by one.

"Drive," Lin Fei ordered into the walkie-talkie.

Five black SUVs simultaneously turned on their headlights, their tires leaving deep mud tracks on the lawn. They crashed through the iron fence of the hospital's backyard and roared into the main road, leaving the Zhao family's thugs who had just chased them downstairs far behind.

The car reeked of blood. Leng Qiu leaned back in the leather seat, panting heavily, her hands gripping the seatbelt tightly.

Lin Fei sat in the passenger seat, took out his phone, and made a video call to Lin Ting.

The screen lit up, and Lin Ting sat in a grand chair in the Tazhai Ancestral Hall, twirling walnuts in his hands.

Lin Fei handed the phone to Leng Qiu.

Leng Qiu looked at Lin Ting on the screen and swallowed hard.

"Grandpa Lin, the keys to the money laundering network worth 3 billion are all in the box."

Leng Qiu's voice was hoarse, "I'm entrusting it to you. You have to save my whole family's lives."

Lin Ting picked up his teacup and blew on the tea foam.

"Since the Lin family has accepted the gifts, they will naturally protect you," Lin Ting said.
