From then on, the battle began in earnest.

The entire pirate crew was alarmed, and shouts of intrusion rang out everywhere, as pirates began to pour into the scene of the incident.

But their arrival had no effect whatsoever; they were completely pushed back by the guards of the inner palace, who hacked and crushed them all the way!

The screams never stopped inside the cave.

Inside the pitch-black cave, a samurai's katana was broken in two by Li Yuanchang's single strike, and he was then captured alive.

"Ask him where the Great Chief is?"

The sailors who were with the group immediately began translating.

The samurai cursed loudly and fought back fiercely.

puff! !

Li Yuanchang is ruthless and doesn't talk much; he simply chops off hands.

"Ah!" The samurai let out a bloodcurdling scream, his face contorted in agony, and he rolled on the ground in agony.

Li Yuanchang glanced at the chaotic scene of fierce fighting ahead, then stepped on the warrior's head and raised his sword with both hands.

"You have one last chance!"

"I'll take you there! I'll take you there!" The samurai was sweating profusely and in excruciating pain, shouting frantically to save his life.

Li Yuanchang grabbed the man and rushed forward, ignoring the profuse bleeding.

Based on the time frame, with that amount of bleeding, without treatment, he would die within the time it takes for an incense stick to burn.

"..."

"Report!!"

"Chief, Chief, it's terrible! The Tang army has broken in!" A pirate rushed into a rather spacious stone chamber, which was filled with various cloisonné and jade artifacts, panting heavily and looking very nervous.

Accompanying him was a dense, echoing chorus of killing shouts.

"I've heard it." The chieftain's face was grim, with a hint of unease.

"Second brother!"

Tall and robust, Yoshida, with his Japanese-style bun hairstyle, suddenly stood up.

"Big brother, I'm going to kill these arrogant bastards!"

"Be careful, this person is no ordinary individual!"

"Brother, it's not me either!"

Yoshida, extremely confident, roared, "Come with me!"

"yes!"

A large group of warriors, wearing wooden clogs, quickly followed, each with fierce eyes and shouting from time to time, exuding an imposing aura.

As expected, the two sides collided soon after.

A very long cave passage was filled with screams as large numbers of pirates were routed and slaughtered.

puff! !

Li Yuanchang drew his long sword, and blood splattered on his face.

Boom!

The last pirate blocking their way also collapsed with a thud.

Everyone was panting heavily, staring intently ahead.

Suddenly, a group of pirates wielding samurai swords appeared in the dimly lit cave. Unlike the other pirates who were dressed in rags, they seemed to have their own school of thought and were much taller.

The atmosphere seemed to freeze instantly, and the entire passageway fell into a sudden silence.

Li Yuanchang's eyes locked onto the burly man standing at the front: "Are you Jingjiro, or Yoshida?"

The burly man's gaze locked onto them, like a venomous snake in the darkness: "The dead don't need to remember my name!"

Upon hearing the translation, Li Yuanchang's lips curled into a smile, and his gaze became disdainful.

"You are not even worthy to be my opponent!"

The translator translated it word for word.

The burly man's face immediately contorted into a ferocious expression, followed by a wildly exaggerated shout—undoubtedly a Japanese pirate: "Ah!!"

Whoohoo! !

Behind him, more than fifty pirate samurai raised their katana, gripped them vertically with both hands, and then charged forward as a whole, each shouting something that was impossible to understand.

"Kill them!" Li Yuanchang roared.

"yes!!"

Huang Tu led the charge, taking the lead and rushing forward like a tiger descending a mountain.

The two sides clashed, shouts of battle rising from all sides.

boom! !

In the narrow passage, Huang Tu and his group directly rammed into their opponent, sending him flying.

"what!"

The roars of the pirate samurai rose up, their swords slashing wildly, sparks flying from the stone walls.

The scene was chaotic, filled with the sounds of bones shattering and swords piercing flesh.

These people were indeed stronger than any pirates we had ever encountered. They were clearly trained and practiced some of the rituals and customs native to Japan.

But to the inner court of the Han King, they were still just slightly larger grasshoppers.

boom!

puff!

"ah!!"

An arm flew up and was trampled to death by the samurai who was caught in the crowd.

Huang Tu and his gang were incredibly violent. Lacking in swordsmanship, they made up for it with brute force, cleaving people and weapons in two with a single strike.

One punch and his jaw was shattered.

In just a few breaths, dozens of pirate warriors began to be overwhelmed and retreated continuously.

No matter how they shouted or cursed, they couldn't turn the tide of the battle.

The tent staff, consisting of only thirty people, managed to destroy the entire pirate group's stronghold.

By the time they realized they were outmatched and tried to suppress the enemy with their bows and arrows, it was too late. The guards rushed over and started hacking wildly at the archers.

Like a wolf among sheep, it is utterly devastating.

"ah!!"

The agonizing screams continued, and more and more corpses fell. Not only were dozens of pirate warriors killed or wounded, but even the warriors who came to reinforce them were trapped in the swamp and eventually devoured!

Within the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, the two sides clashed in close combat in a narrow space, and in the end, all those standing were from the inner palace.

Huang Tu and the others were panting heavily, their bodies covered in blood.

Apart from a few people who were cut by samurai swords, no one died in battle, and the injuries were only minor, because they all had armor under their clothes to protect their vital organs.

A blood-soaked corpse lay on the ground, its body still writhing, trying to struggle to get up.

A foot stepped on his arm.

"Ah!" Yoshida screamed in agony.

"The dead certainly don't need to know my name," Li Yuanchang said condescendingly, his tone dismissive of mockery.

"Baka yarou!!" Yoshida roared.

"What awful Japanese language!" Li Yuanchang muttered to himself, then raised his knife and slashed.

puff!

The sound abruptly stopped as the head flew out.

Immediately afterwards, he carried the severed head and led the team to continue striding inside.

Passing through the passage, the cave suddenly opens up, revealing a place resembling a council hall, with a gargoyle warrior enshrined at the top, exuding a sense of everyday life.

As soon as they entered, more than a dozen pirates rushed out to try to stop them, but they were all instantly suppressed.

Li Yuanchang specifically ordered that someone be spared.

"Where is your leader, Ijiro?"

The four survivors continued to curse and shout.

Li Yuanchang executed them on the spot, beheading them one after another.

After killing three men, when only the last one remained, the pirate was kneeling on the ground, and a foul-smelling liquid was leaking from under his pants.

"The Great Chief broke through, but was driven back."

He was afraid of death.

Li Yuanchang squinted. The breakout attempt had been repelled; it must be that Guo Chao's group had blocked another exit.

Where did he retreat to?

The samurai trembled, blood still seeping from his nose, his shaky finger pointing towards a passage.

"Right, right behind that stone door."

Everyone's eyes turned to the darkness. Huang Tu found a torch, and Li Yuanchang then saw that behind the enshrined warrior statue, there was a hidden stone door.

He slowly led his men closer and pushed them hard, but they didn't budge.
