This is the true immortal of the Taoist sect.

Chapter 37 The most carefree time of youth, let no frost freeze its chill into the dwelling.

The thirteenth day of the twelfth lunar month is the Great Cold.

As Qingfeng stepped out of the room, he subconsciously tightened his collar.

Even with his current physique and cultivation level, he could still feel a slight chill.

Looking up at the gloomy sky, a hint of sadness flashed in Qingfeng's eyes.

His parents passed away one after the other last winter.

Because the family was poor, Qingfeng wore the only clothes they could keep warm. They had no money to buy charcoal and firewood, and they both caught colds and died.

For wealthy families, winter may hold a unique charm.

But for poor families, every winter is undoubtedly a calamity, a calamity that can destroy their homes and lives.

Just as I was feeling sentimental, I suddenly felt something falling from the sky.

A gentle breeze reached out to catch a snowflake, which landed on the warm palm and quickly melted into a puddle.

Qingfeng's eyes grew increasingly sorrowful. He sighed softly, gazing at the increasingly dense snowfall, and murmured:

"A timely snow promises a good harvest, but how many families will actually live to see one after this snowfall?"

The door opened, and Qingfeng turned to look; it was Mingyue leaving the house.

Good morning, senior brother.

Mingyue greeted him softly.

Qingfeng nodded without saying a word.

Mingyue noticed Qingfeng's emotions and heard what Qingfeng had just said. She lowered her head, thought for a moment, and said:

"Senior brother, let's take a walk around the city together after the snow stops."

Qingfeng looked up in confusion, a hint of bewilderment in his eyes.

Mingyue didn't speak, but just smiled and took out a talisman from her sleeve.

Qingfeng recognized it as a talisman for warding off evil spirits and ensuring peace in the home.

Qingfeng immediately understood Mingyue's thoughts, a hint of joy flashing in his eyes, and nodded:

"good..."

Mingyue tilted her head and smiled:

"Should I go and draw some more amulets?"

Qingfeng quickly followed and said:

"Let's do it together."

Mingyue's cultivation has reached a considerable level. Although she still cannot see, at least she no longer sees only emptiness as she did in the past.

You can see some general outlines.

Her eyesight wasn't congenitally impaired; it's said that she caught a cold and had a high fever a couple of years ago, which damaged them.

Later, Li Daoxuan used a healing talisman to treat Mingyue, and the effect was remarkable.

With the improvement of Mingyue's own cultivation, the grayish-white color in her pupils faded significantly, gradually revealing their original depth.

The most important thing in drawing talismans is to have a firm understanding of the principles of talismans.

Although the bright moon cannot be seen, one's cultivation is sufficient and one's mind is steadfast.

Therefore, she can draw some simple talismans.

Inside the room, the two disciples were intently drawing talismans, while outside the window, heavy snow was falling.

A peaceful and tranquil atmosphere permeated the courtyard, filling the entire space with a serene and warm feeling.

However, this peace was soon shattered.

"Senior Brother, Second Senior Sister, it's snowing! Let's play in the snow..."

Just by listening to her voice, you could tell that Wang Jingshu had arrived.

Just as Qingfeng finished drawing a peace talisman, his magical power flowed, and he pressed his own seal—Taiyi Xuanmiao Qingfeng Daojun.

Looking up, one could see a lively girl, wearing a bright red cloak, a snow-white fox fur around her neck, and holding a long sword, skipping and hopping into the courtyard from the entrance amidst the swirling snow.

Wang Yangming followed behind her, a hint of joy on his face.

Seeing the two arrive, Qingfeng turned to Mingyue and whispered:

"Perfect timing, let's take a break."

Mingyue nodded, put down her brush, twisted her wrist, and smiled:

"I want to play in the snow too."

A gentle breeze and a warm smile.

"it is good."

The joy of childhood is simple: a snowfall and a few friends are enough to make one happy all day.

Four young boys and girls filled the not-so-spacious courtyard with laughter and joy.

In no time, four snowmen were piled up in the middle of the yard.

Wang Jingshu pointed to the largest snowman in the middle and said:

"This is our eldest brother, the most majestic and powerful, who can protect us forever."

Then, pointing to the slightly shorter snowman beside him, he laughed:

"This is..."

Wang Jingshu deliberately drew out her words, and Wang Yangming unconsciously puffed out his chest, thinking that his sister would say that it was him.

But Wang Jingshu changed the subject and chuckled:

"This is Senior Sister Mingyue, she's the most beautiful."

Mingyue smiled, while Wang Yangming awkwardly twitched the corner of his mouth.

Wang Jingshu then pointed to the next snowman and said:

"This is me, look how handsome I am! From now on, I'll be the most powerful swordsman in the world, helping those in need with my sword, hahahahaha..."

Wang Jingshu put her hands on her hips and laughed loudly.

The gentle breeze and the bright moon were also infected by the laughter and started laughing too.

Wang Yangming's gaze fell on the last and smallest snowman, and a bitter smile tugged at the corner of his mouth:

"Little sister, please don't tell anyone this is me..."

Wang Jingshu said with an air of matter-of-fact:

"Who else is there besides you? All you do is study all day. You probably can't even beat me now. You're the weakest of the four of us."

Wang Yangming rolled his eyes and said irritably:

"How dare you speak to your elder brother like that? You have no manners whatsoever."

Wang Jingshu didn't take it seriously, stepped forward and hugged Wang Yangming's neck, grinning mischievously:

"Hehe, big brother, don't worry. It doesn't matter how good you are, as long as I'm good."

"From now on, with your senior brother, second senior sister, and me, the number one swordsman in the world, protecting you, you can just focus on your studies, strive for high office, and become the most powerful scholar in the world."

Wang Jingshu's words were devoid of any embellishment or sentimentality.

But it is precisely because of this that the girl's pure and sincere heart is best revealed.

Wang Yangming felt a warmth in his heart, as if a warm fire was burning in his chest, making his nose feel slightly sore.

But the boy's thin skin still made him feign disdain and say:

"Tch, who needs your protection, little brat..."

After saying that, they started laughing and joking around again.

After playing and getting tired, the four of them sat side by side under the eaves, holding ginger tea that Qingfeng had personally brewed. The warmth made them feel relaxed and carefree.

When the snow stopped and the sky gradually darkened, Qingfeng stood up and said:

"Alright, you should go back now."

Wang Jingshu glanced at the sky and sighed.

"How time flies!"

Hearing the regret in her voice, Qingfeng smiled and said:

"Don't worry, the sun sets and rises again, there's always tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, every single day..."

Upon hearing this, Wang Jingshu smiled, her lips curving into a smile, seemingly filled with boundless joy.

However, Wang Yangming was more perceptive. He noticed that Mingyue had a small cloth bag that she had never seen before at her waist, and the bamboo cane that she only took out when going out was now being tightly clutched in her hand.

So, out of curiosity, I asked:

"Senior brothers, are you going out?"

Qingfeng nodded.

"Um, something came up."

Wang Jingshu immediately became interested and asked:

"What are you going to do? Is it fun?"

Qingfeng didn't want to tell them, but then he thought that the Wang siblings were also his master's disciples, and it would be good if they were willing to participate in this kind of merit-accumulating activity.

So he said softly:

"It snowed heavily today, and my junior sister and I were worried that the poor people in the city would have a hard time getting through the night, so we decided to go from street to street and deliver amulets to them, so that we could at least help them get through this cold winter."
