This is the true immortal of the Taoist sect.

Chapter 338 Three Flowers Gather at the Top, Pure Yang Immortal

On Qingming Island in the Xuanyu Tianshui Marshland.

Mingyue opened her eyes, waking up from her meditation.

His figure flashed and appeared on the horizon. He raised his head and looked at the sky, his heart unable to calm down for a long time.

"Senior sister, what's wrong?"

Hearing the commotion, Gu Jiantang rushed over, looked up at the bright moon, and asked.

Mingyue did not speak, but her eyes had already transformed into dazzling divine eyes.

In the vast universe, that great path was exceptionally clear, but no one below the level of Earth Immortal noticed it.

Mingyue didn't know what it was, but as an Earth Immortal, as a cultivator whose primordial spirit could travel beyond the heavens, she instinctively felt that it would be an extremely rare opportunity.

"Should I... go out for a walk?"

Mingyue murmured to herself.

Just then, Qingming Island suddenly trembled.

Gu Jiantang looked around blankly, not understanding what was going on.

Mingyue immediately looked at the pavilion in the center of the island, a look of surprise appearing on her face.

"Master..."

Mingyue immediately went to wait outside the pavilion.

Gu Jiantang and Ban Yin also rushed over.

At this moment, a faint, strange phenomenon gradually began to appear in the sky above the attic.

It seems that a three-colored divine flower is quietly blooming.

"Senior sister, is Master about to emerge from seclusion?"

Gu Jiantang asked curiously.

But Mingyue's eyes were filled with disbelief.

"The Three Flowers Gather at the Crown... Master... has already entered the realm of a primordial spirit of pure Yang, a divine state..."

Gu Jiantang was shocked to hear Mingyue's words.

Taoist cultivation also has clear distinctions between different realms.

These are the five realms of immortals: Heaven, God, Earth, Human, and Ghost.

Some people, due to their eagerness for quick success and instant benefits, have gone astray in their spiritual practice, resulting in their primordial spirit being trapped and locked within their bodies, accumulating a great deal of negative energy over the years.

After the physical body decays, only the spirit remains, wandering aimlessly, yet not entering the netherworld; this is what is known as the ghost immortal.

One level above ghost immortals are human immortals, who can comprehend a particular path or technique within the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, and are generally healthy and free from illness.

Human immortals only practice techniques without comprehending the Dao, causing the five elements of Qi within their bodies to mix and merge. Although this may make their bodies healthy and their forms strong, they ultimately cannot attain the true path and cannot last long.

The Taoist practice of cultivating both mind and body refers to the cultivation of both.

However, the situation is quite different when one reaches the Earth Immortal realm. The Daoist text "Zhong Lü Chuan Dao Ji" defines Earth Immortals as those who are halfway between Heaven and Earth, possessing the talent of immortals, but who do not comprehend the Great Dao and only achieve minor success in certain methods.

This refers to the fact that although earth immortals possess the ability to live long and see for a long time, they ultimately failed to comprehend the Great Dao and transcend the cycle of reincarnation.

Living between heaven and earth, one must entrust oneself to a blessed land on earth, absorbing the spiritual energy of mountains and rivers to ensure longevity and immortality.

Above the Earth Immortals are the Gods. The Gods mentioned here are different from the gods in myths and legends who are officially employed in the Heavenly Realm. Those gods are born innately and their divine positions and powers are fixed by the Heavenly Dao.

According to the "Collection of Teachings of Zhong Lü", immortals are earth immortals who diligently cultivate, extracting lead and adding mercury, refining the golden essence at the top of their heads, and returning the jade liquid to the elixir, ultimately breaking free from the shackles of the human world and attaining true freedom and ease.

The lead and mercury mentioned here in Taoist internal alchemy practice are not metals in the ordinary sense; it is merely a metaphor.

Lead represents the true qi in the kidneys, and mercury represents the true fluid in the heart. Drawing lead and adding mercury means drawing the essence from the dantian and mixing it with the divine fluid in the heart. This process refines the essence at the top, blends water and fire, and brings together the dragon and tiger.

Finally, it is refined into Qi, reaching the state of Five Qi Converging at the Origin and Three Flowers Gathering at the Top.

Thus, yin is exhausted and yang is pure, and there is a body outside the body.

At this level, one is no longer bound by the physical body.

Even without a physical body, one can still roam freely between heaven and earth, immortal and indestructible.

Of course, this doesn't mean that we can simply give up our physical bodies.

Reaching the Celestial Immortal realm presents a completely different scene.

This point will be discussed later.

Upon hearing Senior Sister Mingyue say that Master had already attained the realm of immortals, Gu Jiantang was filled with admiration.

Reaching this level is what truly transcends the mundane.

Not only do they have almost infinite lifespans, but they also possess many innate supernatural abilities.

The eyes, ears, mouth, and nose can all generate infinite supernatural powers.

To Gu Jiantang's surprise, the world didn't react much to his master's great achievement of reaching the Three Flowers Realm.

Only a faint, three-colored divine flower appeared in the attic.

Master is the Dao Ancestor, is this all the Dao Ancestor has? Back when Senior Brother Headmaster and Senior Sister Mingyue cultivated to become Earth Immortals, the commotion was so great that it almost overturned Qingming Island.

Of course, he wouldn't dare say those things.

Little did he know that the reason he did not sense the changes in the world was simply because his cultivation level was too low.

In the eyes of those experts above the Earth Immortal realm in the Xuanhuang Great World, the entire Xuanhuang Great World seemed to have gained an indescribable and inexplicable artistic conception at this moment.

It was as if, from that moment on, a new path had been opened in the world, leading to the same summit.

Countless living beings in the world thus gained an additional opportunity to transcend.

If someone could stand outside the Xuanhuang Great World and observe this vast world, they would discover it.

In the endless chaos, a three-colored divine flower supported the entire world.

However, at this moment, all the high-level officials' attention was drawn to the Xuanhuang Ancient Path, so no one paid attention to this point.

On Qingming Island, all the strange phenomena finally subsided.

The door to the attic finally opened slowly.

With long hair and a long beard, and dressed in a blue Taoist robe, Li Daoxuan stepped out from the void.

At this moment, all the brilliance in the world paled in comparison, and all colors seemed to vanish into nothingness.

Not only Gu Jiantang and Mingyue, but even Ban Yin, this unorthodox cultivator, was irresistibly drawn to it.

"Mingyue, Yuqiong, don't you recognize your master?"

Li Daoxuan chuckled softly.

Mingyue and Gu Jiantang were taken aback upon hearing this, before they came to their senses.

Mingyue smiled gently, stepped forward, and bowed deeply, saying:

"Congratulations, Master, on achieving Pure Yang cultivation. The Great Dao is within reach..."

Gu Jiantang also quickly stepped forward and cupped his hands in greeting:

"Congratulations, Master, on your great progress in cultivation..."

Ban Yin then knelt down and kowtowed, saying:

"Welcome back, Grandmaster, upon your emergence from seclusion..."

Li Daoxuan gently raised his hand.

Get up.

After straightening up, Mingyue looked at Li Daoxuan's beard and smiled:

"Master, what you've done..."

Li Daoxuan only realized what was happening when he saw Mingyue stroking her chin.

He lifted his half-meter-long beard and his long hair that reached his calves, and chuckled to himself.

"Having cultivated pure Yang, my body is bursting with vitality, and I didn't even notice how long my beard and hair have grown."

After saying that, Li Daoxuan raised his hand and gently wiped his face, and all the beard on his face fell off.

Even the long hair at the back of her head was mostly cut off.

Holding the hairs in his hand, Li Daoxuan pondered for a moment, then turned to Gu Jiantang and asked:

"Yuqiong, you've been a disciple for so long, and I've never given you a magic weapon."

"While these hairs and beard of mine may not be considered rare treasures, they can be refined into a decent artifact. Are you willing?"

Refining treasures with beards and hair?

Gu Jiantang found it utterly unbelievable.

But he was no novice, and naturally knew that even a single hair plucked from his master's body, which had cultivated to such a level, possessed incredible power, so why would he be disgusted by it?

"Master's gift of this treasure is the greatest honor for this disciple, but it may cause Master much trouble and worry..."

Li Daoxuan waved his hand.

"It's nothing, as long as you don't mind."

Having said that, Li Daoxuan summoned the Taiyi Xuanhuang Cauldron, threw his beard and hair into it, and laughed:

"Then let's forge an Immortal-Binding Lock..."
