He didn't say anything more, but simply raised his right hand, clenched it into a fist, and punched Lu Jingxiu hard in the abdomen.

"Well--!"

Lu Jingxiu's body arched suddenly as the punch struck his stomach squarely, causing his entire abdominal cavity to spasm.

He gritted his teeth, letting out a suppressed groan.

He looked up, his eyes bloodshot with pain, staring intently at Trish.

Damn it, you little brat, you just wait.

If you get arrested by the police later, I'll have plenty of ways to deal with you.

Just then—

The piercing sound of sirens grew louder as they approached, and beams of red and blue police lights pierced through the glass walls of the café, swirling and flashing inside, casting flickering light on everyone's faces.

Police cars and armored vehicles were parked on the side of the road, right behind the black Mercedes-Benzes.

Teams of uniformed police officers rushed in, followed by riot police with riot shields, and special police and special agents with guns.

"Everyone stay still! Police!"

"Squat down! Put your hands behind your head!"

"Release the hostages! Now!"

Stern shouts echoed through the café, and the dark muzzles of guns were pointed from all directions, aimed at every bodyguard in the café.

The bodyguards naturally noticed the commotion.

Those on the periphery, without the slightest hesitation, almost reflexively squatted down and covered the back of their heads with their hands.

They are hired and paid a regular salary; there's no need for them to risk their lives for a job.

But there were five more inside, including the exceptionally burly bodyguard captain.

They were members of the Trish family, and were Trish's trusted confidants who had been by his side for many years.

They were still standing, their hands having loosened their grip on Lu Jingxiu and Lin Yutang, but their knees were still bent.

"Final warning!" The officer leading the charge stormed in, raising a megaphone, his voice echoing like thunder throughout the café. "Hands behind your head! Crouch down! Release the hostage immediately!"

The five bodyguards exchanged glances, then looked at Trish, who was surrounded by them and had a gloomy expression.

A few seconds later, they reluctantly squatted down and raised their hands above their heads.

Forget it, there are so many guns.

"Take them all away!" The officer in charge waved his hand.

Police officers and special agents rushed over immediately, working in pairs to quickly handcuff the bodyguards who were squatting on the ground, one by one.

Including Trish.

"I have diplomatic immunity! You can't touch me!" Trissie struggled, his handsome face filled with rage.

Even with two tall, burly special agents holding his arms and pressing down on his shoulders, he was still twisting his body forcefully, and the collar of his suit was pulled crooked.

This is the second time he has been handcuffed in Xia Kingdom.

Moreover, both times it was because the same person called the police.

The officer in charge walked up to him, his expression serious: "Whether you enjoy diplomatic immunity needs to be confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and your country's embassy or consulate."

"You are now suspected of provoking trouble, illegally restricting the personal freedom of others, and violently assaulting others. You must cooperate with our investigation. If you have any questions, you can contact the consulate."

He made a gesture, and two Secret Service agents escorted Trish out.

"I want to contact the German ambassador! This is illegal detention! I want all the German media to know about this!" Trissi shouted, his voice distorted with anger.

However, no one on the field paid any attention to him.

The officers were busy with their own tasks: some were counting the number of suspects, some were collecting evidence at the scene, and some were dispersing the onlookers.

His voice was thus drowned out by the orderly law enforcement scene.

The two plainclothes police officers who had been there at the beginning also got into a police car. They decided that when they got to the station later, they would give the bodyguards a proper welcome.

Lu Jingxiu rubbed his shoulder, which was sore from being twisted, and then touched his stomach, which was still aching slightly.

He turned around and looked at Lin Yutang beside him.

She was still standing there, her face still wet with tears, but her eyes had changed from despair to a dazed look.

They probably hadn't fully realized how the situation had changed so drastically in just a few minutes.

"Let's go," Lu Jingxiu nodded to her calmly, "to the police station to give a statement."

After he finished speaking, he followed a police officer who came to guide them towards the police car parked outside.

As you walk through the glass door, the night breeze hits you in the face.

The red and blue lights were still flashing on his face, but his expression slowly turned cold in the flickering light and shadow.

Trish.

Now it's my turn.

Cheng'an Road Police Station, interrogation room.

Trish sat on the iron chair, his hands cuffed to the chair, wearing only a wrinkled shirt and a tie askew.

But his chin was still slightly tilted back, and his gray-blue eyes held a domineering arrogance.

"I want to see my lawyer," he said coldly. "I will not answer any questions until my lawyer arrives."

Two veteran police officers sat opposite me; one was flipping through documents, and the other was drinking tea from a thermos.

Neither of them looked up at him.

"Contact the German Embassy. I am a German citizen, and you have no right to treat me like this," Trissi continued. "I have diplomatic immunity, and your actions are illegal."

Last time at the police station, he got out quickly thanks to these few words and pressure from his family.

He believes this time will be the same.

The old police officer holding the thermos blew on the tea leaves floating on the surface of the water, took a sip, and still didn't say anything.

At that moment, the door to the interrogation room was pushed open.

A young police officer strode in, holding a printed document. He walked over to the older officer who was flipping through the document, bent down and whispered a few words in his ear, then handed the document to him.

The veteran officer took the materials and began to read them.

His gaze swept quickly across the paper, his brows furrowing slightly before relaxing, a playful smile spreading across his face.

"Mr. Trish," the veteran officer said calmly, placing the documents on the table, "we've checked. You applied for a regular business visa when you entered the country. You don't have diplomatic status, nor do you enjoy any form of diplomatic or consular immunity."

Trish's expression froze.

An expression of disbelief appeared on his handsome face.

"Impossible," he blurted out almost instinctively.

How is that possible? If he really doesn't have diplomatic immunity, then why was he released so quickly from the police station last time?

The two officers were clearly ready to report it when the door opened and someone came in, saying, "It's a misunderstanding, release them."

It took less than twenty minutes in total.

"That's impossible," Trish repeated, speaking in a commanding tone. "Go and verify it immediately; you must have made a mistake."

The old police officer picked up his thermos and took another sip of tea, without responding to his words.

He gathered the materials and exchanged a glance with his colleague next to him.

Neither of them wanted to waste any more words with this foreign rich kid.

Because of Trish's foreign nationality, the case needed to be transferred to the precinct for trial according to procedure, so they didn't bother to ask any more questions.

The two officers stood up, took the documents, and walked out of the interrogation room. The door closed behind them, and the lock clicked back into place.

Only Trish remained in the interrogation room.
