Looking at these figures, Wu Wei was very satisfied.

His gains in Hengdian these days have exceeded his expectations.

Especially acting skills, which increased by a full 11 points.

Her appearance score also broke through the 80 mark, reaching 81 points.

Even in the entertainment industry, where handsome men abound, this level of skill is already quite impressive.

Keep in mind, this is an 81 out of 100 with no makeup!

Aside from Daniel Wu and Nicholas Tse, who are both handsome men with scores of 90 or above, it can be said that his looks are almost on par with anyone else.

Needless to say, if you're wearing makeup.

Playing a campus heartthrob like Ah Liang is a piece of cake for him.

Wu Wei closed the light screen with satisfaction and turned to look at the scenery outside the window.

Next, he will focus all his efforts on his film.

……

More than three hours later, the plane landed at Gasa Airport in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province.

As Wu Wei dragged his suitcase out of the terminal, a warm, moist breeze immediately greeted him, carrying the unique scent of tropical plants—a world completely different from the damp, bone-chilling Hengdian.

He took a deep breath, feeling incredibly happy.

He chose Xishuangbanna as the setting for "A Little Thing Called First Love" after much deliberation.

First of all, it is very close to Siam, and there are many similarities in culture and customs.

Siam has a tropical climate, and Xishuangbanna is also tropical, so many plot points in the original script based on tropical environments did not need to be changed.

For example, in one scene, the female lead's best friend suggested giving the male lead chocolates, but the chocolates melted completely, and the best friend said dejectedly, "I forgot we live in the tropics."

This line wouldn't make sense in other contexts.

However, in Xishuangbanna, it can be used almost exactly as is.

In addition, in order to be released in June next year, the film must start shooting at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

It's unrealistic to capture the feeling of summer in winter in most parts of China.

Even in winter, Xishuangbanna is still sunny with temperatures in the twenties, so wearing short sleeves and skirts is perfectly fine.

Finally, the city itself possesses a unique exotic beauty, with palm trees lining the streets, brightly colored buildings, and tropical fruits readily available by the roadside...

These scenes naturally possess the feel of a youth film, requiring no deliberate arrangement.

Wu Wei hailed a taxi and arrived at the hotel where the Anle team was staying.

Not long after he put down his luggage, assistant director Zhang Xuwei knocked on his door.

"Director Wu, you've finally arrived."

Zhang Xuwei walked into the room with a stack of documents in his hand and put them on the table: "I have a few things to report to you."

"you say."

"We've shortlisted a few suitable actresses for the female lead's three best friends, as per your requirements, and we're waiting for your final decision. We've also basically finalized the casting for the other roles you had us contact earlier..."

Wu Wei nodded in satisfaction: "Your efficiency is indeed high."

In order to assemble an all-star cast, he had previously given Anle's team a list and asked them to find these actors to play the corresponding roles.

The funny English teacher, Xiao Yin, gave him the name Chen Kaishi, who is also the buck-toothed Jane in the movie "Kung Fu Hustle".

He felt that her image and comedic talent were perfect for the role.

Wu Wei specifically requested Wang Ou to play the role of the beautiful teacher Xiao Ou.

The two have the exact same name. When he was thinking about who should play Teacher Xiao Ou, she was the first person he thought of.

Moreover, Wang Ou is excellent in terms of height, appearance, and temperament. He is also a dancer, making him very suitable to play the role of a dance teacher.

Wu Wei designated Shen Teng as the handsome physical education teacher.

The handsome young man from the PLA Academy of Arts has a unique charm that makes him both handsome and a little greasy, which makes him very suitable for the role of a physical education teacher.

At this time, he was still acting in stage plays, had never been on the Spring Festival Gala, and was not yet famous. If he agreed to act, the production team would definitely make a profit...

"that is……"

Zhang Xuwei paused for a moment, then continued, "It's just that the role of Xiao Bin didn't go through."

Wu Wei frowned: "What's wrong?"

He specifically requested Yang Mi to play the role of Xiao Bin.

On the one hand, her appearance and temperament clearly indicate that she is the kind of girl who is domineering, a bit like a big sister, and very good at makeup and dressing up.

She is indeed very suitable for this role.

On the other hand, he also harbored a bit of a wicked sense of humor.

After all, between Wang Ou and her... those who know, know.

The idea of having these two appear together in the same movie is quite interesting.

He was also very curious about what would happen if the two of them filmed together.

"We contacted Yang Mi's side, and they rejected us outright."

Zhang Xuwei replied, "She's currently filming 'The Great Qin Road,' a big production costing over 30 million yuan. I guess she wouldn't even consider a small role like ours."

Wu Wei reached out and touched his chin.

The Great Qin Straight Road?

He racked his brains and realized he had absolutely no recollection of the film.

Logically speaking, a film with this level of investment should at least be able to make a splash, even if it flops.

Could it be that it was filmed but never aired?

Zhang Xuwei continued, "Director Wu, actually, for the role of Xiao Bin, we could just find any pretty student from the Beijing Film Academy or the Central Academy of Drama. They'd be cheap and easy to use. Yang Mi is already somewhat famous, so using her wouldn't be very cost-effective."

"I know, I have my own plans."

Wu Wei shook his head and said, "You don't need to worry about the role of Xiao Bin. I'll handle it myself."

To ensure both an all-star lineup and character suitability, the options for the role of Xiao Bin are actually very limited.

Yang Mi is undoubtedly the most suitable among them.

If she doesn't come and someone else is cast, it just doesn't feel right.

Therefore, we must bring Da Mimi on board!

……

After Zhang Xuwei finished his report and left, Wu Wei immediately went online to search for information about "The Great Qin Straight Road".

As a large-scale production, the production team has released quite a lot of materials to the public.

After piecing together these fragmented pieces of information, he immediately came to a conclusion—

The reason he hadn't heard of this film was most likely because it hadn't passed censorship and couldn't be broadcast.

"Yang Mi is currently a junior at the Beijing Film Academy, so she'll definitely have to go back to school for finals..."

Having thought this through, Wu Wei had already made up his mind.
