Huayu 2007: Starting with fleecing the "Fairy Sisters"

Liu Shishi is the right age; she just turned 20 this year, so she has no problem playing a high school student.

His acting skills are also up to par; he has filmed several movies and TV series in recent years and has accumulated a lot of experience.

Although he is not a naturally gifted actor, he is down-to-earth and serious, and is willing to put in the effort to understand his roles.

And she's pretty enough too.

Her appearance is different from Liu Yifei's.

Liu Yifei is the kind of stunning beauty that catches your eye at first glance. Her features are so exquisite they look like a painting, and she becomes the center of attention wherever she stands.

Liu Shishi, on the other hand, is a typical beauty who appears only at first glance, with delicate and gentle features and no aggressiveness.

At first glance, you might not find her particularly stunning, but after looking at her a few more times, you'll find her more and more pleasing and beautiful.

This innate quality perfectly matches the female lead Xiaoshui's beautiful features.

What was Xiaoshui like in the early stages?

An ordinary, unremarkable girl who would be easily lost in a crowd.

With her unremarkable appearance, Liu Shishi could easily be mistaken for an ordinary, unremarkable girl in the class if she simply tanned her skin, got a dowdy hairstyle and outfit, and wore glasses.

Viewers will genuinely feel: "Hmm, she's just an ordinary girl."

Later, as she gradually removed the unflattering makeup, her beauty was slowly revealed. Finally, she was given a beautiful makeover, which highlighted her delicate features and elegant temperament. She was definitely a charming school beauty after her comeback!

Moreover, that natural sense of transformation is incredibly smooth and convincing.

Viewers will follow the plot, going from "she seems to have become a little prettier" to "she is actually so beautiful", the whole process is natural and seamless.

As for Liu Yifei, her looks and temperament are too outstanding. Coupled with her early fame, everyone's impression of her as a "celestial beauty" is deeply rooted.

No matter how well she does her makeup or how naturally she tries to look ugly, it's hard for the audience to really believe that she's an ordinary, or even somewhat ugly, girl.

Although in terms of "ugly duckling turning into a swan," her appearance better showcases the impact and amazement of the transformation.

However, in terms of overall suitability for the role, Liu Shishi is actually more suitable than her.

……

"She should be with Sugar Media now, but I don't know if she's filming or if she's available."

Thinking of this, Wu Wei immediately turned on his computer and went online to search for information.

It was discovered that she was filming "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" in Hengdian, playing the role of Mu Nianci.

Hugo was injured in a car accident, which caused the project to be suspended for a long time until it fully resumed on August 31 this year.

That was shortly after he left Hengdian.

Wu Wei roughly calculated the time.

Although filming for "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" will probably continue for a while, it should wrap up around the end of the year, giving her the time to act in his drama.

Wu Wei immediately called Zhang Xuwei: "Brother Zhang, can you help me contact Tangren Media and find an actress named Liu Shishi to play the female lead, Xiao Shui?"

……

Zhang Xuwei acted very quickly.

The next afternoon, he replied to Wu Wei: "Tangren is interested in taking over this project. President Cai said he will find time to come to the company to discuss it in detail."

Wu Wei's anxiety finally eased a little.

On Saturday, the four people Wu Wei found from the Beijing Film Academy came to Anle Company for auditions.

The four people were led into a small conference room in turn.

The first one is Zhang Ruoyun.

He was a completely different person today. He had cut his hair into a neat short style, and he was no longer wearing earrings or a lip ring.

Although the hole around his mouth is still a bit noticeable, it looks much better than before.

"Zhang Ruoyun, 19 years old, from the Performance Department of Beijing Film Academy, height 181 cm, weight..." He briefly reported his information.

Wu Wei looked at him and said, "Try the scene where A-Tuo and the female lead first meet."

Zhang Ruoyun was visibly nervous, but overall she did a pretty good job, and Wu Wei was quite satisfied.

Next, Tan Songyun, Kan Qingzi, and Chai Biyun all performed well.

Although his acting skills are still a bit immature, with proper guidance, there shouldn't be any major problems.

These four are all people who made it big later in life. Even though they are still developing, they have some skills.

Wu Weiquan passed all the tests.

That afternoon, Zhang Ruoyun, Kan Qingzi, and Chai Biyun signed contracts with Anle, while Tan Songyun, being under eighteen, still had to go through the formalities with her parents.

After the four left, Zhang Xuwei walked over to Wu Wei and said, "We just received news from Tangren that President Cai will personally bring Liu Shishi to the company tomorrow to discuss cooperation in detail."

Wu Wei nodded, feeling much more at ease.

……

The next day, Wu Wei arrived at the company early.

Several people were already seated in the conference room, including senior executives of Anle and some core members of the initially formed production team.

While discussing the preliminary preparations, everyone waited for the people from Tangren to arrive.

At 10:00 a.m., the meeting room door was pushed open.

Three figures entered, led by staff from Anle.

Leading the way was a woman in her thirties, dressed in a sharp dark suit, exuding a strong aura—it was Cai Yulong, the owner of Tangren Media.

A woman carrying a briefcase was following beside him; she was probably the company's legal counsel or assistant.

Wu Wei's gaze bypassed the two men and landed on the figure behind them.

Liu Shishi was wearing a simple pair of jeans and a white top, her hair was casually tied in a ponytail, and she still had a bit of baby fat on her face.

She wasn't wearing makeup; she was completely bare-faced.

His skin looked very soft and supple, but his complexion wasn't as fair as he had imagined; he must have gotten a bit tanned from filming in Hengdian recently.

Individually, none of her features are particularly outstanding, but when put together, they create an indescribable sense of comfort and pleasing appearance.

She exudes a unique aura.

……

After Liu Shishi walked in, she timidly nodded and greeted everyone.

When she walked up to Wu Wei, she paused slightly and looked at him curiously.

"Director Wu, hello."

Her voice wasn't loud, and she smiled at him somewhat shyly: "I'm Liu Shishi."

Wu Wei observed her closely and was very satisfied with his first impression of her as the female lead.

In particular, he noticed that Liu Shishi was actually quite lively at this time. When she smiled, she had a kind of girlish charm and shyness, and she also had two cute little dimples.

She is completely different from the "blind sister" and "concubine Duan" who were criticized by many people in later generations.

Wu Wei thought about it and realized that it made sense. How could a 20-year-old girl not be lively and energetic in life?

"Hello, you can just call me Wu Wei."

Wu Wei smiled at her and said, "I've seen you play Xin Shisi Niang; you acted very well."

"Thanks."

Upon hearing Wu Wei's praise, a hint of embarrassment flashed in Liu Shishi's eyes, and the tips of her ears turned slightly red.

Wu Wei was slightly puzzled by her reaction.

Is she that easily embarrassed?

And at that very moment—

"Ding!"

The system, which had been silent for more than two months, suddenly emitted a long-lost notification sound in his mind.

[A new object matching the binding criteria has been detected: Liu Shishi]

[Binding in progress...]

[Binding successful!]

[Currently bound to: Liu Yifei, Liu Shishi]

[The host will receive a system reward for pursuing any of the female celebrities bound to them!]

Wu Wei's heart skipped a beat, and he almost couldn't help but exclaim "Holy crap!"

New binding object?

This system... can actually bind to two at the same time?
