The Water Tower.

Eighty-two floors.

There is only one office here, which belongs to Stan Edgar, the current CEO of the Vought Group.

This competent capitalist is currently sitting upright in the conference room directly opposite his office.

He sat on a black Italian sofa from the Pelle Frau series, dressed in an impeccable suit, slowly reviewing the analysis report submitted by the analysis department.

To his right, Madeline sat on a light gray armchair, her head bowed.

She has been dealing with board matters lately.

That phrase, "This is the last time," made her never dare to see Homelander again.

She needs time to calm herself down.

This also meant that she had no idea why Stan had gathered the board members here today.

Madeline glanced at the documents on Stan's desk and vaguely saw a long string of analytical charts unique to the analysis department.

What exactly happened?

Several directors in charge of different projects at Waters had already entered the room, leaving only two empty seats in the not-so-large meeting room.

Stan raised his wrist, glanced at the time on his haute couture watch, and frowned slightly.

"Hey everyone, am I late?"

Just then, the conference room door was pushed open, and a sound rang out that made Madeline's heart race.

Homelander, dressed in a red and blue battle robe, strode into the conference room and took the seat to Stan's left.

"Well, you've come just in time."

Stan lowered his arm, looked at Homelander sitting next to him, and nodded expressionlessly.

"Ahem, you know I'm quite busy."

Homelander coughed lightly, attempting to explain to the board members present.

Stan ignored Homelander's explanation; he was too busy.

You mean you had Madeline cancel all her afternoon plans and then go and find out which famous restaurants in Manhattan were good?

"It looks like our doctor won't be able to come."

As it approached nine o'clock, Stan looked at the vacant fourth seat on the board and spoke calmly.

"If that's the case, then..."

With a bang, the conference room door was kicked open.

Homelander's brow furrowed slightly, his super vision activated, and he looked at the newcomer.

This is Walter, and his homelander is sitting in the conference room. Does this mean anyone can come here and cause trouble?

But the next moment, his furrowed brows relaxed.

A man wearing a fitted black suit with a white shirt underneath, a watch on his wrist made by the same company as Stan's, and gold-rimmed glasses on his nose came into view.

He stood ramrod straight, exuding the aloofness of a scholar, yet also giving off the impression of a refined scoundrel.

"Dr. Rolner, you're late."

Stan looked at Rolner as he walked in, his expression unchanged, and calmly began to speak.

"No, Mr. Edgar, my watch tells me it's only nine o'clock."

Rolner raised his wrist, and the second hand of his platinum watch had just passed midnight.

"Okay, since you're here, please sit down."

Today's matter is more important, and Stan doesn't want to have a debate with that madman Rorner at this crucial juncture.

"Thank you, Mr. Edgar."

Rorna performed a gentlemanly bow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips—whether provocation or gratitude—as he walked to the board seat he had inherited from his mentor.

The fourth seat is held by a director responsible for managing the pharmaceutical experiments at Water Corporation.

Although he holds the fourth seat, in Vought, a company that appears to be a business but whose core business is actually V compounds, his seat is the most important.

This is why Stan kept a close watch on Dr. Bob.

However, in the end, the old gentleman chose to pass the seat to his disciple.

"Alright, now that everyone's here, let's begin today's meeting."

Stan pushed up his glasses and waved.

Behind him, Xuan Se, dressed in black battle armor, emerged from the shadows.

"Distribute the documents."

Xuan Se remained silent. Following Stan's instructions, he meticulously distributed the analysis report and related documents he had already prepared to the seven directors present.

The sparse sound of pages turning echoed in the meeting room.

Madeline looked at the analysis report that had been sent to her, and her pupils suddenly contracted when she saw words such as invisible man, disappearance, and probability of death.

Her heart was beating even faster.

Madeline understood why Stan's expression had been so cold when he called her today.

There was not a trace of concern in his tone; in fact, it carried a hint of accusation.

She swallowed hard, her gaze inadvertently sweeping over the man from the other side of the country.

Homelander's expression wasn't good either; his gaze met Madeline's.

Madeline forced a smile, then lowered her head and continued looking at the heavy analysis report.

The expressions on the faces of the directors changed dramatically.

The director in charge of the film and television industry, in particular, looked as if he had eaten shit.

"Have you finished watching?"

The time on Stan's silver-gray watch was 9:15.

He coughed lightly, snapping everyone out of their reverie.

"So, let's talk about what everyone's thoughts are on this matter, and how to handle it."

"This will have a significant impact on Walter's future development."

At this point, Stan's gaze swept over Homelander and Madeline.

Neither of them looked well.

"Sir, this is absolutely terrible!"

"Someone actually dared to lay a hand on the Seven Superheroes. That's incredibly audacious."

"Is the Invisible Man really dead? If he is, what will happen to the schedules and filming series related to him, especially the currently popular 'Invisible Force' series?"

The director in charge of film and television sounded somewhat anxious. Currently, in the entire superhuman film industry, the Invisible Man's "Invisible Power" is the most popular.

After all, the ability to become invisible is quite ambiguous.

And now, the protagonist of the invisible force, the invisible man, is gone?

How the hell can this movie still be made?

"Well, we can consider special effects for the movie. We'll discuss it with the production team and sign a confidentiality agreement."

Stan took a deep breath and spoke rationally to the board member in front of him.
