Double-Cut During the War of Resistance: My Wife Came from 1937

Deputy Division Commander Xu said, "Xia, you have to teach us how to use those night vision goggles again. It would be a waste if we didn't know how after you left!"

"Later things are simplified as much as possible, making them absolutely simple and clear to use."

Xia Weiwei replied, "I guarantee you'll be able to learn it in less than a day."

"Then let's go study now!"

Commander Liu waved to Zhang Xixuan, who was not far away, and said, "Little Zhang, you come with us too!"

Zhang Xixuan had followed him since the Long March and was one of the people he trusted most.

Commander Liu naturally wouldn't forget to teach them how to use night vision devices.

Zhang Xixuan asked, "Commander, what brings you here?"

"I'll let you learn a good lesson later!"

Deputy Division Commander Xu said with a smile, "If you learn quickly, I'll return the 2 yuan allowance we made yesterday. If you learn slowly, I'll deduct another month's allowance from your allowance."

"Sir, that's too ruthless!"

Zhang Xixuan was immediately dumbfounded and said, "That allowance is my money for getting married. If I give it all to you, I'll be single for the rest of my life."

"You're still so young, and you're already thinking about your wife all the time!"

Division Commander Liu glared at his bodyguard and said, "Our division's political commissar and Deputy Division Commander Xu are both single, and there are even more unmarried officers."

Deputy Division Commander Xu also said, "Not only are you young, but you're not even a regimental commander yet, so don't even think about it."

"knew!"

Zhang Xixuan sighed.

Their 129th Division is a frontline combat unit, strictly adhering to the standards of the "285th Regiment".

The so-called "258th Regiment" standard means that the candidate must be at least 28 years old, have more than five years of revolutionary military service, and be a cadre at the regimental level or above.

These three conditions must all be met; none of them can be missing.

For example, there was a regimental-level cadre who had met the required years of service in the revolutionary army, but was only 27 years old.

Therefore, Commander Liu directly rejected the other party's marriage application and asked them to apply again next year.

But aren't all rules this rigid?

If it is a veteran of the Red Army with special merits, then the requirements can be relaxed a little.

There's no other way; this is a critical juncture for the survival of the nation, and we can't just think about ourselves.

If the game weren't so deadlocked, then all the married soldiers would be thinking about going home to find their wives every day.

In addition to Zhang Xixuan, Division Commander Liu and Deputy Division Commander Xu also brought in several other Eighth Route Army soldiers.

These night vision devices will need to be taught to a large number of Eighth Route Army soldiers.

Xia Weiwei also needs to transport supplies to the future world, so she can't stay in this world forever. Naturally, she can't keep teaching others, so she needs to teach a group of people first.

As high-ranking officers in the Eighth Route Army, they were responsible for formulating combat missions, so they naturally needed to know how to use these tools.

They plan to experiment further and see how effective these thermal imaging night vision devices and infrared digital night vision devices are in actual combat.

This will allow for better tactical planning.

And so, the group of more than a dozen people arrived at a place where supplies were stored.

Upon arriving, Xia Weiwei did not immediately teach everyone how to use night vision goggles. Instead, she took out two bulletproof plates and a tactical vest.

Xia Weiwei said to Division Commander Liu and Deputy Division Commander Xu, "Sir, please look, these bulletproof plates are all in pairs, front and back, either one can be placed in front or back."

As she spoke, she opened the bottom of her tactical vest, put in two bulletproof inserts, and then fastened it back on.

"The two inserts are placed in a tactical vest. When using them, simply wear them over the vest and fasten them securely."

She even demonstrated it herself and put it on Commander Liu.

"One person uses two boards?"

Seeing this, Deputy Division Commander Xu couldn't help but mutter, "What a waste!"

In his view, if only the front is protected, 20000 boards are enough for 20000 people.

"Sir, this is how it was designed."

Xia Weiwei said, "Because after we charge into the enemy's position, the enemy may not only come from the front, but also from other places to snipe."

"Moreover, if each person has two bulletproof plates, even if one is damaged, they can quickly replace it, allowing them to launch a second attack."

"That's true!"

Deputy Division Commander Xu nodded.

This bulletproof plate isn't meant to last forever; it will break if it gets hit by gunfire repeatedly.

"Now that we've talked about the bulletproof plate, let's move on to night vision goggles!"

Xia Weiwei slowly said, "These night vision goggles can be worn directly on the head, or they can be combined with a bulletproof helmet."

"Of the 10000 helmets produced this time, only 2000 can stop pistol and submachine gun bullets. The other 8000 are about as effective as the Japanese helmets. The night vision goggles are mounted on the helmets like this..."

……

Inside the adobe house.

Division Commander Liu, Deputy Division Commander Xu, Chief of Staff Ni, and Xia Weiwei were talking around a stove.

"Xia, we don't know if the Japanese army will be mobilized in the next few days."

Commander Liu, holding a cup of hot water, said as he drank, "But we've already arranged for people to go to the cities where the Japanese are stationed to keep an eye on them."

"As soon as the Japanese army makes a move, we will act immediately, and then Lao Xu and I will leave the division headquarters."

"If it happens to be during a war, I'm afraid only Lao Ni will be left to guard the division headquarters. You can just give the things to Lao Ni then."

Deputy Division Commander Xu said, "We hope the Japanese army will move out later, after we have transported all these supplies over."

"Why!"

Chief of Staff Ni sighed, "It all depends on whether fate will grant our wishes!"

"Yes, sir!"

Xia Weiwei nodded.

After a few more moments of casual conversation, the countdown to time travel finally ended.

Xia Weiwei began applying to Ma Hongwei.

The application was approved almost immediately after it was submitted.

"Buzz!"

Immediately, ripples in spacetime began to appear.

Xia Weiwei stood up and said to the assembled leaders, "Leaders, I'm going back now. Goodbye!"

After saying that, she waved to the group of leaders and then disappeared into thin air.

……

Another time and space.

Inside the living room.

Xia Weiwei appeared instantly, holding a piece of paper in her hand.

Ma Hongwei stepped forward and said, "Darling, welcome back!"

"whee!"

Xia Weiwei smiled and handed the paper to Ma Hongwei, saying, "Hongwei, I brought you a wonderful treasure this time. Take a look!"

"What treasure?"

Ma Hongwei took the paper.

When his gaze fell upon it, his eyes widened instantly.
