Double-Cut During the War of Resistance: My Wife Came from 1937

"It's a pleasure working with you!"

"It's a pleasure working with you!"

After the transaction was completed, the two shook hands.

Mr. Guan chuckled and said, "Mr. Ma, if you ever have any of these again, you absolutely must sell them to me!"

"Definitely! Definitely!"

Ma Hongwei nodded.

The price offered by the other party is reasonable, so we can trade several times.

Next, Boss Guan found a large truck online and started loading it onto the truck.

After a busy period of time, all the goods were finally transported away.

Ma Hongwei did not go home, but continued to wait in the small house in the courtyard.

He had already received a call informing him that the rice, canned goods, salt, and other supplies were almost ready to arrive.

Ma Hongwei, with the air conditioning on, contacted a forklift operator.

He plans to go back after all the goods are unloaded.

……

Another time and space.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!"

A rapid sound of horses' hooves echoed through the mountains.

A cavalry unit dressed in Eighth Route Army uniforms galloped along and stopped near the headquarters of the 129th Division.

The road ahead was blocked by barricades, and Eighth Route Army soldiers were patrolling.

Upon seeing the newcomers, a soldier immediately stepped forward and asked, "Which unit are you from?"

The middle-aged man at the head of the group, speaking with a Sichuan accent, retorted, "You're from the 129th Division, right? I'm your new political commissar!"

"A new political commissar?"

The soldier was taken aback, then ran to the nearby sentry post and picked up the phone.

The reason for equipping this place with landline telephones instead of walkie-talkies is mainly because there are concerns that these walkie-talkies might fall into the hands of the Japanese or the Democratic Party.

At this stage, only the cadres of the Eighth Route Army had walkie-talkies.

"Feed?"

After the call connected, the soldier immediately said, "Please tell Commander Liu right away that our new political commissar has arrived!"

This place is not far from the headquarters of the 129th Division.

Not long after, they saw Commander Liu, Deputy Commander Xu, Chief of Staff Ni, and Director Song of the Political Department riding over.

From afar, Commander Liu spotted the figure standing there, a man who wasn't very tall.

"Old D, welcome to our 129th Division as political commissar!"

Upon approaching, Commander Liu dismounted and walked forward with a smile.

Deputy Division Commander Xu was the second to extend his hand: "Welcome, welcome!"

Political Commissar D also stepped forward and shook hands with his future partners one by one.

Commander Liu said with a smile, "With you, the new political commissar, here, my burden will be much lighter!"

Political Commissar D shook his head and said, "Old Liu, you're going to be disappointed. I'm here on a very important mission!"

"In the early stages of your work in the Taihang Mountains, you only developed the anti-Japanese base area in southeastern Shanxi. However, the Taihang Mountains run through the three provinces of Shanxi, Hebei, and Henan. My next task is to establish more anti-Japanese base areas in western Hebei, southern Hebei, and the Taiyue region."

Upon hearing this, Commander Liu couldn't help but shake his head and say, "Old Lin and Old Nie just separated their operations, and now we're going to separate too?"

"It's all for the sake of the War of Resistance!"

Political Commissar D said, "At this stage, the enemy is strong and we are weak. We need to establish more anti-Japanese base areas and rely on these base areas to wage guerrilla warfare, specifically targeting the Japanese army's troop transport lines and supply routes."

"Only when our military strength and weaponry are fully developed can we confront them head-on."

He paused, then asked curiously, "By the way, are Comrade Xia and Comrade Ma here?"

He had already been to the Eighth Route Army headquarters and learned about Xia Weiwei and Ma Hongwei's situation.

Commander Liu said, "They went back yesterday and aren't here today. If nothing unexpected happens, they should be back tomorrow."

"I heard from Lao Xu that Comrade Hongwei won't be coming back for the time being, only Comrade Xia will be returning. You can come with me to see her then."

"Um!"

Political Commissar D nodded emphatically and said, "We should definitely see for ourselves!"

If it weren't for the two commanders from the Eighth Route Army headquarters demonstrating that magical device called a cell phone to him, he wouldn't have believed such a thing existed.

……

the next day.

in the afternoon.

Ma Hongwei and Xia Weiwei arrived at the warehouse.

Ma Hongwei pointed to the goods and introduced them: "This is 204 tons of rice, and over there is 37.44 tons of braised pork and canned luncheon meat."

"And over there, there are 30 tons of salt, 10 tons of medical alcohol, 10 tons of saline solution, 5 tons of compressed medical cotton cloth, 50 solar panels and batteries, as well as other drugs such as penicillin and artemisinin."

"Wow, that's a lot of goods!"

Looking at the goods piled up halfway up the warehouse, Xia Weiwei said to Ma Hongwei, "I'm afraid this warehouse won't be enough in a while!"

"If it's not enough, replace it!"

Ma Hongwei said slowly, "I'm planning to build a warehouse of over 3000 square meters myself!"

"Build it yourself?"

Xia Weiwei asked疑惑地问道, "Isn't renting a warehouse quite cheap? Why do we need to spend money to build one ourselves?"

"We have no choice but to build it!"

Ma Hongwei said, "I plan to start a pharmaceutical wholesale company, but such a company must have its own independent and self-operated warehouse. It is strictly forbidden to rely on or lease third-party warehouses, and the area must exceed 3000 square meters."

"We need to set up a wholesale company to legally purchase large quantities of medicines; the restrictions on retail pharmacies are still too great."

"My main task for the next period of time is to build a qualified warehouse and then apply to establish a pharmaceutical wholesale company."

Anyway, the drugs he wholesales won't appear on the market in this time and space, so there's no need to worry about any problems.

For example, drugs like penicillin.

Because allergic reactions can be fatal, it cannot be used casually and is therefore subject to regulation.

These drugs must be supervised and reviewed by pharmaceutical companies before they are allowed to be distributed to clinics and pharmacies.

Even after the virus enters the clinic, subsequent departments will continue to conduct random inspections.

However, if you only buy them but don't sell them on the market, the drug administration department won't care at all.

Because they only care about those drugs sold to the market, and they don't care about the drugs stored in the warehouse.

It can be said that Ma Hongwei was exploiting a loophole.

Generally speaking, the purpose of running a company is to make money, so it is necessary to sell products. No one would do a losing business that only buys goods and doesn't sell them.

But Ma Hongwei is different.

His purpose in setting up a pharmaceutical wholesale company was simply to legally obtain large quantities of medicine for the war effort.

As for where to make money, it's in other places.

Those antiques and mountain products are extremely profitable.

"oh oh!"

Xia Weiwei nodded slightly, indicating that she understood.

"receive!"

With a thought, Xia Weiwei stored all the items in the warehouse into her system space.

Then, Xia Weiwei ran to change her clothes and said to Ma Hongwei, "Hongwei, I'm leaving now. See you the day after tomorrow!"

After saying that, she stepped inside and disappeared.
