After seven years of being out of the spotlight, millions of fans are waiting for my return!

On the other side, in a certain residential area.

Director Zhang is reading the script.

These days he is preparing to shoot a period drama, but so far he still hasn't found a suitable actor for a supporting role.

With filming about to begin, many actors came to audition, including many talented ones, but they still couldn't find a suitable actor.

Looking at the character of the hegemon who once unified six kingdoms in the script, Director Zhang sighed softly.

There is currently a lack of promising young actors in the film and television industry in Daxia.

Among today's actors, the acting skills of the new generation are too immature. Most of them are filming idol dramas, and their acting is formulaic, almost all following the same template.

While the middle-aged generation possesses acting skills, many have opted for variety shows that offer faster fame, leaving them with no time to calmly hone their craft and refine their roles.

In the end, only the older generation was left struggling to keep going.

However, some of these older generation members have gradually retired from the film and television industry, while others are too old to take on roles anymore.

Even renowned directors like him are finding it difficult to find suitable actors these days, let alone other directors.

Looking at the script in his hand, Director Zhang sighed again.

Filming is scheduled to begin the day after tomorrow, but they're still missing one supporting actor.

With that in mind, he put down the script and picked up the personal profiles of the auditioning actors on the table.

Even if he only has a supporting role, it's not a role that some actors can just play whenever they want.

Many actors even fought tooth and nail for this role.

However, as he looked at the personal information in his hand, his brows furrowed into a knot.

These are all popular celebrities with exquisite looks and great on-screen presence.

What he needs this time is a domineering emperor, not an idol-like CEO.

These popular celebrities lack not only charisma but also acting skills.

If they were to play this role, his film would become a cautionary tale in the film industry.

Finally, Director Zhang put the documents back on the table and sighed again.

Suddenly, his phone screen lit up.

Director Zhang glanced at it but didn't pick it up to read immediately.

He's not in the mood for anything right now; all he can think about is the supporting actor.

He sighed again after the phone screen went dark and picked up his phone.

Although he hasn't found a suitable actor, many friends in the industry frequently recommend actors to him.

However, he has looked at quite a few actors during this period, but still hasn't found a suitable one.

Looking at his phone, he sighed heavily again.

Filming is scheduled to begin the day after tomorrow. If we really can't find suitable actors, we'll have to work with those veteran actors.

When he opened his phone and saw the message from an artist named Lin Mo, he was clearly stunned for a moment.

A few days ago, someone did recommend the other person to him, and he agreed to give the other person an audition opportunity.

Although he is a famous director, he sometimes needs some traffic.

This artist named Lin Mo has a huge following right now, and what surprised him most was that she never engages in hype or self-promotion.

Even in the fickle entertainment industry, he still managed to calm down and hone his work.

This is why he was willing to give the other party an audition opportunity.

"Lin Mo".

After reading the message sent by the other party, Director Zhang clicked on an audition video that the other party had sent.

After clicking on the video, a handsome young man appeared.

Upon seeing the other person, Director Zhang gently shook his head.

His appearance is completely unsuitable for the role he was given.

Soon the video started playing, in which a young man named Lin Mo was introducing himself.

"Director Zhang, hello! My name is Lin Mo..."

Upon hearing this, Director Zhang's brows relaxed slightly, and a hint of appreciation appeared in his eyes.

He didn't expect the other person to be so poised and confident during their first audition, showing no signs of nervousness or unease.

"Clear articulation, great camera presence, very good!"

After introducing themselves, the other person began to perform a short, unscripted act on camera.

Upon seeing this, Director Zhang subconsciously sat up straight.

This was the first time he had ever seen someone perform an audition without props.

A good actor can perform a scene well even without any equipment.

In the eyes of these excellent actors, any prop they have can be used to add scenes.

The ability to perform without props is precisely an essential skill for an excellent actor.

It also puts the actors' skills to a very high level.

Now, this newcomer named Lin Mo actually chose to perform without props in his first audition. Director Zhang didn't know whether to praise him for being bold or for being too confident.

A complete novice with no acting experience dared to choose to perform a piece without props.

Upon seeing this, Director Zhang shook his head.

Nowadays, apart from veteran actors, very few young actors can perform a scene well without props.

Not to mention those popular celebrities.

This young man named Lin Mo has never been involved in acting before, so it's impossible for him to do it.

When Director Zhang looked at the video again, he saw the other person pretending to be holding a bowl of noodles, with chopsticks in their right hand, and eating noodles right in front of the camera.

He first pretended to pick up a piece of noodles with his chopsticks, blew on it, and then put it in his mouth, eating it in big bites. While eating, his hands didn't stop moving, and there was even a hint of emotion in his eyes.

Midway through, he held the chopsticks with his left hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his right.

The entire process of eating noodles felt very realistic and smooth, just like a customer sitting at a table eating noodles on a hot day.

Especially the other person's eyes; even though there was nothing in their mouth, there was a sense of satisfaction in their eyes.

Even when eating noodles, the facial expressions are portrayed very realistically.

Director Zhang seemed to see a starving customer devouring noodles.

In just a few minutes, he perfectly portrayed a customer eating noodles.

Upon seeing this, Director Zhang suddenly stood up, his eyes filled with amazement.

He never expected that a newcomer with no acting experience could play such a role so well.

Besides the other party's exceptional observation skills, it was also their outstanding acting talent.

He even dared to say with his hand on his chest that this newcomer named Lin Mo was born to be an actor.

As long as he continues down the path of acting, he will eventually become a movie star.

"Great! Great! This performance was fantastic!"

"I need to send it to other people so they can see it too."

Just as he was about to send it out, Director Zhang suddenly changed his mind.

Given the actor's acting skills, other directors would probably be eager to work with him after seeing him.

They might even give the other person a leading role.

The lead actors for his new movie have already been cast, and now only the role of the emperor remains. Given the actor's acting skills, that's not a problem at all.

"Xiao Lin, I'm sorry, you'll have to play a small role this time. I promise I'll give you a leading role next time."

After saying that, Director Zhang indeed picked up his phone and sent a message to Lin Mo.

Director Zhang: Xiao Lin, when can you join the crew for filming?
