Police Chief's Anti-Organized Crime Storm

The subordinate was startled and looked at Wang Dalong with a shocked expression: "Brother Long, what about Li Jianmin? He..." Li Jianmin was Director Liu's man and was always known as the number two person in the county bureau. Was he going to be abandoned?

"Never mind all that, tell Ah Hu that no matter what, you have to shut Li Jianmin up completely." Wang Dalong's words startled the man, who quickly went out to make a phone call.

The black SUV stopped at a fork in the road. Fatty Xu and Duan Fei jumped out of the car and looked at Lin Ying: "Boss, what do we do?"

"We'll split up. You guys stay in one car with me, Yuan Xiong and Zhi Jun, the rest of you in another car. Get Li Jianguo in our car, quick!"

The group quickly did as instructed. Yuan Xiong was puzzled. Could it be that the mastermind behind the scenes would really dare to openly kidnap people?

Just as Yuan Xiong was still hesitating, suddenly, several white vans sped towards them from not far away.

"Quick, let's go!" Lin Ying shouted. She knew that the other party would definitely try their best to kill them. From the moment she learned that Gao Lan had been assaulted when she died, she knew that the criminal gangs in Gaoshan County were too arrogant, and the degree of collusion between officials and bandits was chilling.

Upon seeing this, Yuan Xiong and his companions were stunned. They quickly got into their cars, which sped away like arrows, with more than a dozen vans soon giving chase.

Inside the car, everyone looked grim. These guys were incredibly arrogant and lawless. Not only did they openly kidnap people, but they also dared to send so many people!

"Immediately notify Lei Shuming to dispatch the armed police to meet us on Shihe Street."

"Should we give Wu Yuzhu a call?" Fatty Xu suggested, after all, Wu Yuzhu was the captain of the armed police squadron.

"No, call Lei Shuming." Lin Ying believed that Lei Shuming could distinguish between the important and the urgent matters. Back then, Ji Xiaoqing had asked the Armed Police Squadron for help, but Wu Yuzhu did not appear. Therefore, she suspected that Wu Yuzhu might be protecting those people from back then.

The fat man quickly picked up the phone and dialed the number for the Armed Police squadron. Upon hearing this, Lei Shuming's head instantly throbbed. Lin Ying immediately added, "Captain Lei, if there's anything, you can consult the provincial headquarters and speak directly to Chief Qin."

Lei Shuming was startled and quickly replied, "Yes." He hesitated for a moment before dialing the provincial governor's number. When he heard Qin Haoran's voice, his expression changed slightly.

"Comrade Lei Shuming, I am now formally ordering you that upon receiving a distress signal or order from Comrade Lin Ying, you must serve unconditionally. Do you understand?" Qin Haoran was too lazy to explain.

"Yes, sir." The reorganization of the Armed Police is about to begin, and from now on, this Chief of Staff will be the Commander-in-Chief of the Provincial Armed Police Corps. Qin Haoran has been in his position in the Provincial Corps for so many years that almost no one can shake his position.

After hanging up the phone, Lei Shuming immediately ordered the troops to assemble. Not far away, a middle-aged man of medium build, wearing the uniform of an armed police platoon leader, walked over with some displeasure: "Shuming, what are you doing? Is there a mission?"

"Reporting to Captain Wu, we received orders from above to go on a mission." Lei Shuming dared not hide anything.

"Oh, higher up? Which higher up?" Wu Yuzhu was slightly displeased. After all, he was the head of the Gaoshan County Armed Police Squadron. The order hadn't reached him, but had gone to Lei Shuming? Higher up? Which higher up?

"This is Chief Qin's order. If you have any questions, you can ask him directly." Lei Shuming was too lazy to explain. If something happened to Lin Ying, he would be in deep trouble.

Wu Yuzhu's expression changed. Watching Lei Shuming lead his men into the car and drive off, he couldn't utter a word. His face was a mixture of anger and uncertainty. Chief Qin, Qin Haoran? The head of the provincial corps? How could this be? They were under the city's jurisdiction, so how could the province interfere? But Qin Haoran was the commander of the Dongjiang Provincial Armed Police Corps. Who would dare disobey his orders?

Is Lei Shuming lying to me?

Thinking of this, he immediately returned to his office, picked up the phone, and dialed: "Hello, this is Wu Yuzhu from the Armed Police Detachment of Gaoshan County. I'm looking for General Manager Qin."

"Wait a moment." The call was answered shortly after.

"Hello, is this Chief Qin? This is Wu Yuzhu from Gaoshan County."

"What is it? Speak!" The voice on the other end of the phone was deep and resonant.

Wu Yuzhu instinctively straightened up and quickly greeted him respectfully, "Greetings, old commander. Lei Shuming has led a team on a mission, saying it was an order from you. This order didn't go through me, so I'm checking with you." The Armed Police are a combat force, and everything must be done according to procedure. This is the rule of the organization and the military, and it's also necessary to maintain the normal operation of the force. Orders must be passed down through the ranks. If the higher-ups bypassed him, it was clearly disrespectful to him, the company commander.

"What, do I need your approval to give my orders?" Qin Haoran's voice was icy. Wu Yuzhu was startled and quickly denied it, "Old Chief, that's not what I meant, I just..."

"Alright, I don't care what you mean. Being able to do good things for the people makes you a good official and a good soldier. What is the purpose of our army? To cooperate with local authorities to maintain social stability and development, and to severely crack down on local criminal forces. When the lives and property of the country and the people are threatened, we should step forward instead of pretending not to know." After saying that, the phone slammed down.

Wu Yuzhu's expression changed drastically. He stared at the phone in his hand, unable to come to his senses for a long time. What did Chief Qin mean?

Wu Yuzhu is, after all, the captain of a county-level armed police squadron. When has he ever failed to prioritize the interests of the Party and the people? When has he ever…

Suddenly, he remembered something—the incident from a year ago. Could it be that the higher-ups had found out?

That's impossible. He didn't do anything wrong; he just missed his shift. Besides, given the conditions at the time, with the torrential rain, there was no way he could go out in time. So, when Ji Xiaoqing, the county magistrate of Gaoshan County, got into trouble, it wasn't his fault. He didn't do it on purpose.

But, was it really not intentional?

Wu Yuzhu glanced guiltily out the window. Back then, Ji Xiaoqing had personally called for help, and he had postponed the mission under the pretext of heavy rain, which ultimately led to Ji Xiaoqing's accident. Could it be that the higher-ups had discovered something fishy about that matter?

Wu Yuzhu's heart suddenly pounded wildly, and he felt a sense of unease.

Just then, his phone rang urgently. He picked it up, glanced at it, and frowned: "Feed."

"Hey, Captain Wu, this is Wang Dalong. I need to ask you something."

"explain."

"I heard you've got a few people in your party?" Wang Dalong rarely dealt with Wu Yuzhu; after all, soldiers and bandits were like oil and water.

"What do you mean?" Wu Yulou asked, puzzled.

"The female forensic doctor in charge of Gao Lan's case is named Lu Xiujuan. I heard she's with you?" Wang Dalong's words made Wu Yuzhu's expression slightly startled. "Who told you that?"
