After she left her father and kept her son, President Pei lost control and knelt down.
Chapter 84: I've Got Your Fury
The strong airflow almost made Qiao Wan lose her footing, but Pei Hansheng leaped onto the deck and caught her steadily in his arms.
Without a word, he cupped her face and kissed her, his sucking so forceful it felt like he could swallow Qiao Wan whole, filling the huge void in his heart.
Exhausted and seasick, Qiao Wan leaned weakly against him. A faint smell of blood filled the air, making her feel nauseous. She pushed him away in resistance.
"Xiao Bao and Shen Yingtang are still downstairs."
Pei Hansheng stared at her pale and cold face. She must be terrified. He picked her up and carried her horizontally.
Many people boarded the ships surrounding the vessel and took control of the illegal vessel.
"Mr. Pei, what are you going to do with them?"
Pei Hansheng surveyed the crowd with disdain, his eyes gleaming with murderous intent.
"Throw it in to feed the fish, and make sure it's clean."
He glanced down at Qiao Wan, his heart pounding with the joy of having her back, and continued in a hoarse voice:
"There's a woman and a child down there. Bring them out and take them back to Beijing together."
After giving his instructions, he carried Qiao Wan off the ship. The car for the return trip was already parked at the port, and he got in directly.
Qiao Wan was not in much spirits. He held her on his lap and she watched through the car window as his men carried Xiao Bao off the boat, with Shen Yingtang following behind, and they all went to the car behind.
Pei Hansheng wrapped her in his woolen coat, took her cold hand, and held it tightly in his palm.
Qiao Wan lowered her eyes, her gaze drifting away as she looked at him: "Do you know who kidnapped us?"
Pei Hansheng pressed her against his chest and said, "Get some sleep. I'll give you an explanation when we get back to the capital."
Qiao Wan closed her eyes, utterly exhausted, with no expectations in her heart.
The so-called confession is nothing more than arresting a few unrelated people to make a show of it; it never hits the nail on the head.
After the kidnapping, she felt uneasy and dared not stay by his side any longer; she couldn't afford to gamble.
He said in a low voice, "The best explanation you can give me is a divorce."
A dark emotion churned in Pei Hansheng's dark eyes, and he coldly curled his lips: "Don't even think about it."
Qiao Wan didn't speak. Pei Hansheng's embrace was warm, and she could lean on it for a while.
Pei Hansheng lowered his eyes, staring at the woman in his arms. A tearing pain shot through him near his heart. He tightened his grip, holding her even closer, as if trying to press her into his very bones.
The car drove on the highway all day and finally arrived in Beijing in the evening.
The car drove into the villa, and Pei Hansheng carried Qiao Wan into the living room. Behind them, Xiao Bao refused to come in at the door and suddenly burst into tears.
"I'm scared, I don't want to go in, there are bad people."
Qiao Wan suddenly woke up, got off Pei Hansheng, rushed to Xiao Bao, knelt down and hugged the child in her arms.
Tears welled up in her eyes, filled with remorse: "Baby, don't be afraid, Mommy's here, Mommy will protect you."
Xiao Bao curled up in Qiao Wan's arms, tears welling in his eyes, staring in terror at Pei Hansheng standing there.
"I'm scared of Uncle Pei, Mommy, let's go, Xiaobao wants to go home."
A look of disbelief flashed in Pei Hansheng's eyes as he reached out to Xiaobao: "Uncle bought you lots of toys. Let's go to the heated pool to learn to swim. Uncle will teach you."
Xiao Bao shook his head violently and cried loudly, "Mommy, I don't want him, I don't want him here, waaaaah!"
Shen Yingtang picked up Xiaobao and looked at Pei Hansheng with dissatisfaction: "You have no idea how scary it was. More than a dozen men rushed into the house, put us in bags, and took us to the car. Even adults are traumatized, let alone children. If Mr. Pei really cares about the mother and child, then let them go."
Qiao Wan stood up and tugged at Shen Yingtang's sleeve: "Let's go."
Goldman Sachs glanced at Pei Hansheng and followed behind Qiao Wan, saying, "Madam, let the driver take you back to Jinxiu Garden."
Pei Hansheng stood there, his arms hanging limply at his sides. Qiao Wan got into the car and left. A metallic taste filled his mouth, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.
He slumped onto the sofa, overwhelmed with pain.
When Goldman Sachs came in, he saw his vulnerable and fragile side.
"Mr. Pei, your wife has been found. You should go back to the hospital to recover."
Pei Hansheng's eyes flashed with a cold light: "Goldman Sachs, go and bring Zhao Youran here."
The man wiped the blood from the corner of his lips with his fingertip, his anger simmering, and began to settle scores later.
Not long after, Goldman Sachs brought Zhao Youran and Zhao Qi to Tanshu.
Pei Hansheng sat on the sofa with his legs apart, looking down at the man and woman with an unfathomable expression.
Zhao Qi asked tremblingly, "Young Master Pei, what brings you here?"
Pei Hansheng rubbed his forehead, his face deathly pale, radiating an inhuman chill: "You've touched my woman a second time. How am I supposed to deal with you?"
Zhao Qi was stunned for a moment, then slapped Zhao Youran hard across the face, sending her flying and slamming her face onto the table.
"You filthy bitch, what have you been up to behind my back again! Mr. Pei, it's all because of my cousin's misdeeds. I know nothing about it. I'm handing her over to you now. You can do whatever you want with her, whether you want to skin her alive or roast her in oil."
Zhao Youran covered her face, turned around and glared at Zhao Qi: "You bastard, if you hadn't given me the pass, would that ship have been able to leave the capital?"
"If I had known you had kidnapped Mrs. Pei, I would never have allowed it!"
Zhao Youran slumped to the ground, looking at Pei Hansheng: "Hansheng, are you really going to make things so difficult for me, considering our years of friendship?"
Pei Hansheng's expression was cold and emotionless, a half-smile playing on his lips: "When you and my mother plotted to kidnap Qiao Wan, did you ever consider any feelings between us?"
Zhao Youran sensed danger emanating from the man.
The ruthlessness in his eyes was like that of a ferocious beast whose territory had been invaded, and he wanted to kill the intruder.
Pei Hansheng ordered his men, "Bring me the whip."
Zhao Youran trembled with fear: "It was Jiang Chunzhi's idea! She asked me to do all of this. She's jealous of Qiao Wan. If Qiao Wan dies, she can take your place and marry you."
Pei Hansheng's face suddenly darkened.
"This has nothing to do with Chunzhi," he said casually, turning his gaze to his subordinate beside him. "What are you all standing there for?"
The two henchmen, each wielding a long whip, understood and lashed out at Zhao Youran and Zhao Qi, beating them until they howled in pain and lay on the ground, barely alive. The living room carpet was stained with blood.
Pei Hansheng remained calm, took out his phone, casually snapped a photo of his pointed leather shoes, and sent it to Qiao Wan.
[I've gotten revenge for you.]
Qiao Wan clicked on the photo and zoomed in. The background showed Zhao Youran kneeling on the ground, covered in blood, having been beaten badly.
She sneered.
No matter how you look at it, this kidnapping couldn't have been done by Zhao Youran alone; she didn't have that kind of ability.
She didn't get a reply to her message, so she contacted Yi Yanzhi.
"Mr. Yi, are you still in the capital?"
Yi Yan had a fight with Pei Hansheng last time and broke two ribs. He is still recuperating in a hotel bed.
"Is there something you need?"
"I'm leaving the capital."
Yi Yanzhi sat up straight: "Have you thought it through? Come back to Hong Kong with me?"
"You're overthinking it." Qiao Wan looked at Xiao Bao, who was sleeping on the bed with a furrowed brow and fear still on his face, and felt a pang of pain in her heart. "I plan to go to the South China Sea. Before I leave, I need you to do something for me: help me get a divorce smoothly."
Yi Yanzhi narrowed his long, devilish eyes: "Tell me more."
