Chapter 128 (Re-upload) (Part 1)
The South Koreans were stunned. The embers of the extinguished fire were still rising from the barbecue grill, and the charred kidneys were soaking in spoiled cola, emitting a strange smell that was both sweet and fishy.
Then they exploded, a series of angry roars erupting from their mouths: "You son of a bitch!" "Dentist bastard!" one curse after another spewed from their greasy mouths.
The guy with the afro who was squatting in front of the trash can cutting out organs was the first to jump up, still holding the dagger covered in bits of flesh in his hand, spewing out a string of incoherent swear words.
The burly man in jeans wiped the stinky Coke liquid still dripping down his face, his thick lips trembling with anger.
The man covered in tattoos reacted the most violently. He grabbed a meat skewer from the ground, gripped it in his hand, and roared, "Damn it, old man!" before charging aggressively towards Li An.
The tattooed man raised the iron skewer in his right hand and stabbed it fiercely into Ang Lee's eye.
Li An did not retreat. He watched as the bundle of iron skewers hurtled through the air, gleaming coldly in the dim alleyway light, their tips getting closer and closer to his face.
Then he gently turned his head, dodging the iron skewer, the tip of which grazed past Li An's head and missed.
At the same time, Ang Lee raised his left hand, his five fingers gripping the wrist of the tattooed man holding the sign, while his right hand struck out at the same moment, slapping the tattooed man's elbow joint.
A crisp cracking sound echoed through the alley; the tattooed man's elbow joint snapped instantly, his entire arm breaking in two.
I lost my strength.
"Ugh—" The tattooed man's scream echoed through the alley. Li An, not one to let it go, grabbed the man's wrist with his left hand and pulled him forward.
The tattooed man cried out in pain, but Ang Lee paid no heed. He took the iron skewer the tattooed man had loosened with his right hand and stabbed it forward.
The iron skewer pierced the tattooed man's neck, pushing it straight in and exiting from the back of his neck.
The tattooed man's screams stopped abruptly. His mouth was open, and only a few weak hoarse sounds came out of his throat.
His eyes widened in disbelief as he looked down at the iron skewer that had appeared on his neck.
The metal skewer dangled precariously from the tattooed man's neck. Li An stared at him expressionlessly, then pinched the end of the skewer with his right hand and pulled it out.
The iron skewer pulled from the neck made a slight scraping sound, and a large amount of blood gushed out of the wound instantly.
The tattooed man covered the wound on his neck with his intact right hand, pressing his palm firmly against it, but blood still kept oozing out from between his fingers and flowing down his wrist.
He coughed, spitting out a mouthful of black blood. His body swayed due to massive blood loss, and his knees buckled, causing him to collapse.
The light in the tattooed man's eyes dimmed little by little until he finally breathed his last.
The remaining two Koreans watched as the tattooed man collapsed in the dark green sewage, his body convulsing and spraying blood everywhere.
The man with the afro's first reaction was to throw the dagger in his hand on the ground and turn to run.
The burly man in jeans reacted differently. He glanced at his fallen companion on the ground, then at Ang Lee, his face filled with grief and rage.
He opened his mouth wide and roared, bent down and picked up an iron hammer from the ground, then took two big strides and charged towards Li An.
Then he strode forward with his two thick legs, splashing water and trash everywhere, charging towards Ang Lee like an enraged bull.
The man with the afro had already run far away and was desperately fleeing into the depths of the alley. At the end of that alley was a rusty iron gate; if he could climb over it, he could slip into the abandoned parking lot behind it.
Ang Lee didn't chase after him. He just glanced down at the ground, hooked a piece of broken brick with his right foot, flipped it over in the air, and casually caught it with his right hand.
He calmly weighed the brick in his hand, then twisted his hips and swung his arm. With a flick of his wrist, the broken brick flew out of his hand, disappearing in the blink of an eye. A muffled thud was heard, and a dark red flower bloomed on the back of his afro-haired head.
The man with the afro suddenly slammed his head down, his body lurching forward two steps due to inertia, before collapsing straight into a pile of black garbage bags as if his bones had been removed.
At the same time, the burly man was already close. He swung the hammer high with both arms, putting all his strength into it, and a heavy hammer blow came down from above, aiming straight for Li An's face.
The hammerhead whistled as it tore through the air. The flesh on his face bulged from the force of the blow, his left eye, swollen from being hit by a Coke bottle, narrowed to a slit, while his right eye glared wide, bloodshot and filled with murderous intent.
"Watch out!" Boone, the veteran watching from behind, was shocked and quickly issued a warning, while taking a step forward to rush forward.
But Ang Lee simply dodged to the side, the hammer grazing past him less than a fist's distance before slamming heavily to the ground.
The hammer slammed into the ground, its head shattering the already uneven cement surface. Sewage and gravel flew in all directions, splashing up a large spray of black water, which also splattered all over the burly man's face.
Because of the excessive force, the burly man completely lost his balance. His entire upper body lurched forward due to inertia, and his feet slipped in the water. He staggered several steps before barely managing to regain his footing.
However, his forward leaning had completely exposed his weakness to Ang Lee.
After calmly dodging the hammer, Ang Lee reached out with his left hand and swiftly poked the burly man's lowered face.
"Ouch!" the burly man howled in pain. He covered his left eye with one hand, and the hammer slipped from his other hand, falling to the ground with a clatter.
He was bent over, covering his eyes, and jumped up and down several times in pain, blood streaming from between his fingers.
