Fairy Eye

Chapter 13 Underground Gambling

Night falls.

Apart from the occasional chirping of insects, the Qinglong River camp was completely silent.

dong dong dong.

At the entrance of stone house number sixty-three, a man in a blue robe gently knocked on the door.

The door opened, and a young man of about twenty years old, with half of his face blackened, said to the man in front of him, "Senior Brother Wang, you've arrived."

"Well, it's about time, let's go." Wang Qingzhong nodded.

"Okay." Han Lin locked the door and followed Wang Qingzhong along the path.

A moment later, the two arrived at another stone house with a wooden plaque bearing the number eighteen.

Wang Qingzhong knocked rhythmically on the door, then waited quietly. After a few breaths, the door opened, and a thin young man, slightly surprised, said, "Senior Brother Wang?"

"Hehe, Junior Brother Liu, I've brought you a newcomer, aren't you going to thank me?"

"A newbie?" Liu Jian peeked out and saw Han Lin standing to the side. "Isn't this... Han Lin? Are you sure he can play?"

"You know, the stakes here are pretty high; a minimum of ten points per game!"

It means they are worried that Han Lin doesn't have money.

Wang Qingzhong chuckled: "Don't worry, since I brought him here, he'll definitely have fun!"

"Okay then!"

Liu Jian's eyes lit up. "Senior Brother Wang, Junior Brother Han, please come in!"

Upon hearing this, Han Lin quickly followed Wang Qingzhong inside.

When he went inside, he found that Liu Jian was the only person there.

He couldn't help but look puzzled.

Liu Jian closed the door, smiled slightly, and lifted a basket on the floor in the corner, revealing a hole through which light could be faintly seen.

Han Lin then realized that there was a hidden world inside.

Liu Jian led the two into the cave entrance, slid to the bottom, and found an underground passage.

The passageway is inlaid with moonstones, which are not very bright, but the lighting is sufficient.

"Over here."

Liu Jian called out and walked forward along the passage. When he reached the end, he gently turned an oil lamp on the wall, and a hidden door opened next to him.

A huge space came into Han Lin's view.

In the center of the space, there was a large square table, around which a large group of people were shouting.

"Big big!"

"So tiny!"

It was a smoky, chaotic place, no different from a secular gambling den.

As Han Lin and Wang Qingzhong appeared, the room fell silent, and everyone turned to look at them.

Han Lin was surprised to find that Zhao Ruiling was also among them.

Moreover, through his Heavenly Eye, he discovered that all of these people who participated in the gambling had opened up two complete energy channels, and even a third one had appeared.

It's obvious that these people are at least at the second level of Qi Refining, and some are even close to the third level.

"Don't worry about it, everyone. Just keep playing. This is Junior Brother Han Lin. I'm sure you all know him. I brought him here to play with you."

Liu Jian smiled slightly and explained.

Hearing this, everyone was taken aback, but since Liu Jian had brought them in, they had nothing to say. After all, Liu Jian was in charge of this casino.

Zhao Ruiling, however, frowned secretly, calculating how many points Han Lin owed him under the compounding interest, and worried that he might lose them all here.

Although he planned to take Han Lin as a long-term worker, he still had to squeeze some money out of Han Lin before doing so.

The noise resumed, and Liu Jian said to Han Lin, "Junior Brother Han, go and have fun by yourself. I need to stay outside and keep watch, so I can open the door if anyone else comes later."

He then looked at Wang Qingzhong and said, "Senior Brother Wang, you should stop playing. You've lost almost everything these past few days."

"What's it to you? Just do your own thing." Wang Qingzhong rolled his eyes, put his hand on Han Lin's shoulder, and said, "Come on, let's go take a look."

This scene surprised Liu Jian, who hadn't expected Wang Qingzhong and Han Lin to have such a good relationship. However, he didn't say anything, closed the door, and headed out into the passageway.

Han Lin and Wang Qingzhong squeezed through the crowd and found three betting areas on the long table: the left one was large, the right one was small, and the middle one was the highest.

Worried that Han Lin didn't understand the rules, Wang Qingzhong explained to him in a low voice: "There are three dice in the cup. If the sum is greater than ten, it's big; if it's less than or equal to ten, it's small. If all three dice show the same number, it's heaven, and whoever bets on heaven wins."

Han Lin nodded, indicating that he understood: "What about the bookmaker?"

Wang Qingzhong said, "To prevent the dealer from cheating, the dealer does not participate in the gambling and is only responsible for rolling the dice. However, each person must give the dealer some points as a service fee when placing a bet."

Han Lin was taken aback and said, "Isn't this a sure thing?"

Wang Qingzhong laughed and said, "That's true, but after all, they provided the venue."

"Understood."

Han Lin nodded, then suddenly asked, "What if the losing side at the table doesn't have enough chips to pay out the winning side?"

Wang Qingzhong said, "It's very simple, the one who places the bet later is not allowed."

It means you have to bet early, otherwise the other side won't pay out enough and you'll have wasted your bet.

This did indeed prevent the bookmaker from cheating.

Han Lin nodded secretly, then fell silent and began to observe.

Wang Qingzhong couldn't resist the urge to play and started playing, but his luck was really bad, losing two out of three games.

Han Lin observed for ten consecutive rounds.

First of all, it can be confirmed that his supernatural vision was indeed effective. The dice cup was magnified countless times, turning into many tiny particles. Through these particles, he saw the dice numbers inside.

Secondly, the points awarded each time seem to be completely random, and the process involves shaking the table first, then placing bets, and only then opening the results.

But for some reason, after ten rounds, most of the players still lost.

The points on the table seemed to have gone into the pockets of only two people, one of whom was an unremarkable seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy in a yellow shirt.

The other person was a young man with a long face.

The one who lost the most was Zhao Ruiling. It is said that he has lost more than a thousand points since the beginning, and he is almost turning into a bitter gourd.

"Big, big, big!"

"Small, small, small!"

"Two, three, five, small!"

"Damn! We lost again." As the dealer lifted the dice cup, Han Lin heard Wang Qingzhong's annoyed voice again.

He has already lost more than 300 points in these few rounds!

Seeing that Han Lin hadn't made a move yet, he asked疑惑地问道, "Han Lin, aren't you going to play?"

"Play."

Han Lin stared at the dice cup for a moment, a barely perceptible glint flashing across the vertical line between his brows. He then took out a yellow points card with ten points and tossed it onto the 'small' side.

Then, take out another point and throw it to the dealer who rolled the dice; this is the rule that everyone who bets must give one.

The dealer caught the points card, glanced at Han Lin, and thought to himself that this kid was lucky; he actually guessed right on the first try.

That's right, he already knows what the numbers are in the dice cup.

"Han Lin, you're betting on small? I don't believe it, I'm betting on big!" Wang Qingzhong gritted his teeth, defiantly taking out a purple points card and about to throw it out.

That's 100 points!

Han Lin's heart skipped a beat, and he grabbed Wang Qingzhong's hand: "Senior Brother Wang, you're unlucky, bet less."

"Don't stop me, I have a feeling we're going to win this round!"

Wang Qingzhong was already infatuated. Ignoring Han Lin's attempts to stop him, he flicked his wrist, and the points card flew out and landed on the "big" side.
