The readership of this book is very poor; if I were to continue writing it, it would be purely out of passion.

This is the author's first book. The signing was very sudden, and the conception was also very rushed.

The subject matter was already relatively niche. Even though an outline, world view, characters, and combat system were designed, the core selling points and core expectations were not addressed, resulting in some people having the bookmarks but not being able to convert them into readers.

In addition, due to my lack of experience writing my first book and poor timing in choosing the release date, I missed the opportunity for a round of promotional reviews following the release of a new book. For a long period during the update period, there was no positive data feedback; it was practically a free run from 10 words to 20 words...

The author himself really wanted to persevere and finish the story; the outline was also geared towards a long-running narrative, but unfortunately—

Writing without positive feedback is pure torture; ultimately, writing a book still requires facing the market.

So after much thought, I've decided to take a break, learn from my mistakes, adjust my mindset, and then plan for a new book.

As for the subsequent plot, I can briefly mention it.

The event featuring the human face symbol will occur six more times. After these six occurrences, the Old One will descend—yes, this descending Old One is Xing Tian, ​​whose two ears are arms and two whiskers are legs, symbolizing despair. (In fact, all the Old One titles in this book are derived from ancient Chinese mythology.)

All six deaths were related to despair in different dimensions: poverty, career, dreams, dignity, and self-actualization.

The deaths of characters are foreshadowed step by step: worker Bob, singer Phoebe—and finally, Xing Tian descends, plunging Michigan into ultimate despair.

Unfortunately, there will be no chance to showcase it again.

As for the painter, whatever the painter paints will appear in the book. This character was designed to be the core character throughout the entire book, the engine of the conspiracy.

The deputy director parachuted into the Michigan branch is a two-faced character. He was sent by headquarters to infiltrate the branch, hoping to take advantage of Xing Tian's arrival to obtain Xing Tian's core characteristics and enhance his own characteristic strength. He will betray the protagonist group at a crucial moment.

Our protagonist, Wayne, is naturally Meng Po's favorite "little follower," unmatched in manipulating memories.

Just as Michigan City was plunged into despair by the arrival of Xing Tian, ​​the Michigan police station was instantly destroyed by Xing Tian, ​​exposing the deputy director's conspiracy. Our protagonist, Wayne, will make a memory deal with Meng Po, who will appear in a little dress and join forces with other ancient beings to seal Xing Tian.

This concludes the first volume of the Michigan story.

The protagonist, Wayne, will also move from the Michigan branch to the Special Affairs Bureau headquarters, joining the Secret Security Section of the Second Division. He will then enter a new and larger conspiracy, leading to a series of setbacks, a defection from the Special Affairs Bureau, and a solo effort to build his own organization. He will participate in the upheavals of the era under the control of the old regime—(a standard story of joining an official organization, growing within it, rebelling against it during a period of upheaval, establishing his own organization, and ultimately eliminating the official organization to reshape the historical landscape).

The plot of the subsequent volumes is also roughly designed, such as how several former members of the General Administration's high-ranking officials influence the development of technological civilization (technological civilization itself is a contamination by an former entity: namely, the former president 080). This involves conflicts between the former and current presidents, as well as the former president's artificial former entity project implemented to resist the current president (artificial former entities are similar to the protagonist, including both enemies and friends; 086-089) —

Finally, the Xingtian sequence that descended at the end of Volume One is 090, and the subsequent new arrivals of the old order follow in sequence, 091, ...

Many stories I wanted to tell couldn't be told. As a newcomer's first book, I wanted to push the plot forward at a fast pace, but I also considered slowing down to lay the groundwork. In the end, I didn't please either side.
