In name only, I, Gao Yuliang, will sink Handong at worst.

Shanshui Manor.

Du Bozhong received the news: "What? You said Chang Chenghu isn't going to demolish Dafeng Factory anymore?"

"right."

The demolition of Dafeng Factory should have started six months ago, but it has been stalled and some people have even organized to resist the forced demolition.

They tried nearly a dozen demolition teams but to no avail. Now they've found a demolition team led by Chang Chenghu, and they've heard that Chang Chenghu has a cousin who is the director of the Public Security Bureau.

I thought this should be enough! But now they're making me back down.

Du Bozhong called Chang Chenghu directly.

"What the hell are you doing? I paid a deposit. If you can't do it, you not only have to return the deposit, but you also have to pay me back money."

"Boss Du, I really can't do this job. I'll refund the deposit, and I'll also compensate for the money. I've received news that twenty tons of gasoline were emptied from Dafeng Factory last night. Who would dare to dismantle it under these circumstances?"

"Wasn't that twenty tons of gasoline pumped out? Why isn't it working?"

"They did remove it, but who's backing Dafeng Factory? It's the provincial party secretary's adoptive father. I don't dare to mess with him! Besides, last night, they said they wouldn't forcibly demolish it, so I don't dare to do anything!" Chang Chenghu explained directly.

Who is he? He's Cheng Du's cousin. His cousin came to Gao Yuliang's side. Cheng Du explained Gao Yuliang's students to him, and his career afterwards went very smoothly.

I never expected that at almost forty, I would meet my own benefactor. He is still able to listen to my advice about the Dafeng Factory matter and about doing some legitimate business.

"That's all for now, Mr. Du. I'll transfer your deposit and penalty for breach of contract to you. Please accept this."

Chang Chenghu hung up on Du Bozhong.

Du Bozhong knew what Dafeng Factory meant—it meant a full billion! He was just an ordinary Hong Kong businessman before, but after meeting Zhao Ruilong, his earnings skyrocketed.

Previously, they sold river sand; later, they developed real estate and a food court in Handong. Now, Dafeng Factory is even more profitable. They only need to provide Cai Chenggong with tens of millions in bridge loans and then provide tens of millions in resettlement fees for the workers of Dafeng Factory.

The total is less than 100 million, but how much can they ultimately earn? Close to 1 billion.

How could he not cling tightly to Zhao Ruilong's coattails? Besides, he's currently helping Zhao Ruilong manage this mountain and water manor, earning money and having many foreign teaching assistants to help him learn.

"Since others can't forcibly demolish it, then I'll personally lead the people to demolish it." Du Bozhong was no ordinary person in his early years; his methods were as ruthless as could be. How did Gao Xiaoqin and Gao Xiaofeng train him?

As for worrying about officials, he has Zhao Ruilong behind him, and Zhao Ruilong has Zhao Lichun behind him. He already knows the situation: Zhao Lichun has been promoted. How could a businessman like him understand these things?

With their backing getting stronger, can't they just demand demolition compensation?

Thinking of this, Du Bozhong directly called the demolition teams he had previously dealt with, intending to personally lead them to completely demolish Dafeng Factory.

8 PM.

A lot of demolition tools appeared at Dafeng Factory, including excavators and trucks. People who surrounded the factory were holding hammers, and more than 500 people gathered outside the factory.

The workers quickly made phone calls to call for more people. Today was different from yesterday, when communication was cut off.

There are no telecom company staff to cooperate with now. Expecting the telecom company to cooperate with the demolition of a local area is ridiculous.

"Chairman Zheng, someone's come and forcibly demolish our Dafeng Factory! You need to come back and take action immediately!"

"Didn't Li Dakang and Vice Governor Ma Guangming make promises yesterday? How dare they do that!"

"How was I supposed to know there were hundreds of people here? They're driving excavators and trucks; they're clearly trying to forcibly demolish Dafeng Factory."

"Quickly gather our workers together. I'll call Chen Yanshi and ask him to step in and make a decision for us." Zheng Xipo quickly called Chen Yanshi.

Chen Yanshi was furious upon hearing the news. Li Dakang and Ma Guangming had made promises to him yesterday, but now they were forcibly demolishing the house. They were clearly not keeping their word.

Chen Yanshi hurriedly rushed towards Dafeng Factory.

Wang Fuzhen watched her husband rush out, wondering what he was up to. Yesterday, he left in a hurry and was only brought back by the police around 10 a.m. when she learned that the province was going to siphon off 20 tons of gasoline.

Everything is legal and compliant.

"What's wrong? Why are you going out again?"

"Someone is trying to demolish Dafeng Factory over there. I need to go and protect the people's Dafeng Factory." Chen Yanshi set off on his electric scooter.

He's going to go there and make a name for himself at Dafeng Factory.

Some people also called Li Dakang and Ma Guangming.

Ma Guangming called Li Dakang directly: "Li Dakang, what are you trying to do? We agreed yesterday not to forcibly demolish your property, but that's not going to happen today. There are over a thousand people gathered there. If any mass incident occurs, I'll make sure you regret it."

"No! It must have been a private demolition at the Shanshui Manor. The Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee never organized it. They just did it on their own."

"I hope what you're saying is true, but that won't do. We already agreed on this beforehand, and we even signed it," Ma Guangming said.

The two headed towards the Handong Dafeng Factory. Gao Yuliang then turned on his live stream, which was being broadcast live by Zheng Xipo's son, Zheng Shengli, and Gao Yuliang watched the whole thing.

He doesn't plan to go to the Dafeng Factory now. The demolition of Dafeng Factory has nothing to do with him or the Political and Legal Affairs Commission. It's now a matter for the Jingzhou City and Provincial Government.

Gao Yuliang made a phone call to the Provincial Public Security Department, directly ordering Qi Tongwei to send the deputy director and police officers to maintain order.

Even if Gao Yuliang knew about this, he could do nothing, but the Public Security Bureau was going to send people out; at the very least, they had to show the proper attitude.

Qi Tongwei immediately called the Public Security Bureau and instructed them to send someone over. Qi Tongwei also informed his junior apprentice, Cheng Du.

"You can now take command on behalf of the Public Security Bureau and mobilize the fire and police forces from Guangming District."

It's definitely closer for Guangming District to go than for the Public Security Bureau. Even having the deputy director lead the team is closer than for the director himself to get dressed and go.

Qi Tongwei was watching TV with his son Qi Guangji and Liang Lu. He finally had a free day, but he couldn't even have a moment of peace.

Gao Yuliang called Sha Ruijin directly.

"Comrade Ruijin, the Dafeng Factory is currently being forcibly demolished."
