The antique girlfriend of a chaebol heir

Chapter 57 I Don't Accept Breakups

Shen Ci's terrified and collapsing voice finally brought Jiang Duo back to his senses.

That desperate cry of "Kill me!" was like a bucket of ice water poured over his head, causing the terrifying crimson in his eyes to fade away inch by inch.

Reason finally prevailed over lust.

He looked down at the girl in his arms.

She was trembling all over, even her thin shoulder blades were quivering slightly.

The hair around her cheeks was soaked, sticking to her pale skin, it was hard to tell whether it was sweat or tears.

She has always been aloof and composed, like a magnolia nurtured in frost and snow. Even her anger is faint and distant, and she never shows the slightest sign of distress in front of others.

But now, she has been bullied by herself into this state.

Jiang Duo's heart suddenly contracted.

He rested his head on her shoulder, breathing heavily.

The fragrance of her hair lingered around his nose, mixed with the salty taste of his tears, like a bitter medicine that slowly soothed the surging anger in his veins.

Hearing the suppressed sobs of the person in his arms, his heart ached, but the beast called obsession lurked contentedly deep within him.

He has no regrets.

He's a thoroughly rotten villain at heart, and he can't tolerate his beloved even having the thought of escaping him.

He couldn't tolerate her lying to him, avoiding him, or even trying to push him to someone else.

Even if he had to break her wings, he would never allow her to have the slightest thought of escaping.

Only he himself knew that his possessiveness towards Shen Ci was outrageously strong—but he couldn't change it.

I don't want to change it.

"...Don't cry."

He spoke in a low, husky voice, wiping away the wetness from the corner of her eyes with his fingertips, his tone carrying a chilling tenderness.

"Don't be afraid, it didn't go in..."

He stepped back half a step, then bent down and carefully gathered the disheveled fabric upwards.

He turned his head to the side, not daring to look at the blinding white, afraid that he would succumb to temptation and lose control again.

While tidying himself up, he noticed that one of the buttons on his shirt had popped off. He ignored it, and simply reached out to pull the terrified girl into his arms.

At that moment, her body was as stiff as a stone.

He gently patted her back, again and again, as if comforting a frightened child.

The body beneath my palm was slender and fragile, so light and soft, as if it would shatter at the slightest pressure.

Yet this timid girl still dared to lie to him.

It's one thing to deceive someone, but to try and abandon them after starting something is another.

Jiang Duo closed his eyes, rested his chin on the top of her head, and said in a low voice, almost like a sigh, "Youyou."

"I don't know what you were thinking back then."

He tightened his arms, pulling her deeper into his embrace, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones.

"But now you're my girlfriend, and I can't accept breaking up."

The girl in his arms did not react.

"I was so angry just now," his voice carried a barely perceptible weariness, as if he had just gone through a long battle, "I lost my temper for a moment. But I promise—"

He paused, then continued with an almost obsessive calm:

"I won't actually touch you before we get engaged."

"Don't be afraid of me anymore," he said, his lips brushing against her forehead, his voice low and gentle, yet carrying an undeniable domineering air, "and don't even think about leaving me."

He cupped her face, forcing her to look up and meet his gaze.

In the dim light, his eyes shone with an astonishing brightness, like two dark flames burning within them, or like a bottomless vortex that seemed to want to suck her in completely.

"Otherwise, I will chase you to the ends of the earth and bring you back."

Shen Ci lowered her eyes, tears still clinging to her eyelashes, her body trembling.

Her lips were still numb, and an indescribable soreness and embarrassment spread throughout her body.

After a while, Jiang Duo bent down, picked her up again, held her steadily in his arms, and strode out of the suffocating room.

The moment she pushed open the door, a sudden burst of bright sunlight poured down, causing her to instinctively close her eyes tightly.

It evoked a sense of relief, as if one had survived a catastrophe, as if from another world.

Jiang Duo carried her to the sofa and sat down, but did not let go of her.

She was forced to sit on his long legs, her slender waist still firmly held in his large, warm hands.

She leaned against him limply, like a delicate doll that had been drained of all its strength and could only be manipulated by him.

"Beast."

She gritted her teeth and forced out those two words from deep in her throat.

Even when she was furious, her ingrained good upbringing prevented her from uttering any harsher or more vulgar curses.

But the trembling rebuke sounded weak and feeble to Jiang Duo.

Even his harsh words sound so sweet. How could he possibly let go of such a vibrant and delicate girl?

"You're right, I am a beast."

Jiang Duo chuckled softly, the vibrations of his chest traveling through their skin to hers.

He lowered his head, his warm lips gently pressing against the corners of her still reddened eyes, as if to soothe her, or perhaps to savor her beauty.

He whispered in her ear in a low, husky voice that was almost seductive:

"So, don't mention breaking up with me again. Otherwise... I'm a beast, and I'm capable of anything."

……

Jiang Duo and others waited until Shen Ci calmed down a bit before they were willing to put her down.

The steak on the restaurant table had long since gone cold, with a thin layer of grease on its surface.

Jiang Duo glanced down at it, a helpless smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

He learned his lesson and now he really doesn't dare to go into the kitchen alone anymore.

He took out his phone, dialed the number of Jiang's private chef, and instructed them to come over immediately to prepare the meal.

After hanging up the phone, he turned to look at Shen Ci.

The little girl sat there quietly, her back straight even though she was scared, revealing an unyielding stubbornness in her bones.

Jiang Duo sighed deeply in his heart, his eyes filled with complex emotions that he couldn't shake off.

This birthday of his was truly unforgettable.

I narrowly escaped losing control and almost accomplished a major life event.

……

On Tuesday evening, Su Zijin sent a WeChat message to Shen Ci, inviting him to the same cold drink shop they had visited before.

Seeing Shen Ci walking towards her, Su Zijing was still so captivated by her beauty that her heart skipped a beat.

When Shen Ci sat down opposite her, Su Zijing rested her chin on her hand, her gaze falling on the clean-cut face opposite her, and her thoughts drifted back to her high school days.

Back then, Senior Shen was the school's undisputed beauty queen. Even though she was forced to wear that baggy and bulky sports uniform every day, she was still so beautiful that people couldn't take their eyes off her.

Unexpectedly, after only a few months apart, the senior in front of me seemed to have become even more beautiful.

That kind of beauty is no longer just about the exquisite features, but a transformation that radiates from within.

Her temperament has also changed completely—she is still aloof, but no longer the kind of arrogant person who keeps people at arm's length.

It's even a little bit cute and cuddly.

Moreover, chatting with her is very comfortable...
